What a genius idea to use not only shoe polish for wood stain but using two different colors of shoe polish to achieve the “wood stain” shade you wanted. You are filled with such great ideas, technique and your teaching skills are inspirational. You think of everything and explain each step even your “oppsies”. Thanks for sharing your gifts and talent.
Thanks for sharing. Shoe polish is amazing.. Yes brown and black together work so well in so many ways. I used shoe polish as a stain to some wooden crosses I made for Christmas. I used some Jenga blocks and large craft sticks. I noticed the other day that over the past 9 months the stain has lightened up, almost like its set into the softer wood more. Have you ever noticed some changes after awhile? I love the look new or old. Seems like crosses are aging. Hard to explain. Lol Thanks for sharing your creativity with us and letting us become apart of your life. Best wishes
I remember seeing the 1st one you did, but I love the wood one even better. I've made 2 of your DIYs as gifts. The beautiful wood cross made with blocks and the 3 picture frames put together with the stones between them and the wall decal on the front. So far you are the only one whose crafts I have recreated, but you are so easy to follow along with while crafting. You have a knack of making these things easy. Tyfs!! Stay safe & God bless.
Kelly you are brilliant! This turned out beautiful. I just adore you and all of your amazing creations. I'm a shabby chic girl & I have done many of your crafts but switched the colors & flowers. I love french chic & can achieve my style with your creations. Thanks so much sweetie. T4S❣💜❣
Kelly, You are my Favorite DIY Creator by far. I Love your farm house style. And now plan on remodeling rooms in my home that will have lots of these recreations in them. But the one I really love is the candle stick holders that are on your table, that appear behind you in all your videos. Could you show how you make them, or send me a link on how to make those. Thank You So Much for sharing your wonderful creations.
Very nice Kelly!!! That tip of yours using shoe polish is the best thing since sliced bread. I use it all of the time for different purposes when doing crafts. And it really is so easy to use and the color is prettier and richer than any stain I have. Thank you for another great diy!!!
THAT IS SO ADORABLE!! I love your new version of this. I like those little milk bottles too. I used them in a DIY awhile back. Kelly you are so awesome and I always love your ideas, you can make something incredible out of nothing, you rock!! Luv ya and GOD bless you.
Kelly, I love this diy! You did such a great job on it. When you added the Lambs Ears and cotton holes to it, it really popped. It changed the whole look. TYFFS.
Very cool. I have been wanting to make a raised dog feeder and I am using a puzzle from Dollar tree for the base but I wanted an edge. I think I can use the ruler idea for that edge. Thanks. I just moved in with my daughter and family. We're building a bigger house and we will have a craft room. I am so excited.
Hey Kelly, I didn't think this project could get any cuter but you did it again! I love this so much. Definitely will be on my to do list tomorrow. I love it from top to bottom. Thanks again for this inspiration !❤
Hi Kelly! I sooo love your DIY videos. I received a scroll saw (newbie) for wood crafting. It was only $100 with the blades from Amazon. I think that would make your wood crafting & ruler cutting quick and easy; as well as expand crafting ideas. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.....😍👍👍👍
Kelly, very pretty and simple decor, i like it both of them and I would like to tell you that your first diy inspired me to make my own. I actually recycle 3 empty glasses of pasta sauce and i did my crate or box out of popsicle sticks :), If i were good uploading a picture or video so you can see it I would, hopefully sometime i will. Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that I love to see your channel. Thank you for your ideas!
This is beautifully perfect. I love the update, love the black you added. I made one a while back and because of what I stained the crate with, it warped. So I tossed it and need a new one and this is going to be it. Great timing. Thank you Kelly and your subscriber for the updated milk bottles and crate. ❤️
So stinken cute!!! Have to try this one. My only problem is my Dollar Tree store doesn’t carry all the neat n cute things u find. What a bummer. Thanks Kelly ♥️
I absolutely love the recreation of this DIY!!! I made several of the original and now I’m going to have to make this one too lol. I hope you have a great weekend!! Hugs 🤗 Teresa
Thank you for sharing Kelly. You always give so much inspiration. This DIY couldn't have come at a better time. I'm wanting to make something similar for in our bathroom to hold q-tips,. I will add the milk jugs to hold toothbrushes. Can't wait to get started!🙂🙂

Aw. That is so adorable how the plants are placed in the painted bottles.
I like this DIY better than the one before. Less farmhouse but still rustic enough.

I love how this turned. Paint sticks might work too, then you wouldn't have holes, but i'm not sure if they are long enough
You are so talented and a great teacher! Thank you!
