- In the Amazon, there are many weird and wonderful creatures - not least of all these treehoppers, who communicate with each other by vibrating. This comes in useful when their young are under attack, and this mother enlists the help of her forest friends for protection.

They also help the environment by pollinating and make the most delicious sweet in the whole planet. Bees are awesome!

Like having the army on speed dial to gaurd and babysit your kids. Seriously, the presentation and reveal on this one is spectacularly cinematic.
They sound like the aliens from Arrival or like Ents. Nature is wild. Also, it’s amazing how far tech has come just since the first Blue Planet like 15 years ago. Bug sounds *through* plants?? The sticky strings on the assassin bug’s legs?? Bioluminescent bugs on the forest floor in pitch blackness?? Phenomenal.
Was going to make the exact comment. Many movies have probably used sounds from insects for foley.
the bug sounds were probably made up for this vid, like they usually are for these kinds of videos. but everything else was very impressive
It's made up dude, most of the sounds in Attenborough documentaries are, you just couldn't record them live.

I’m reading right now An Immense World by brilliant Ed Yong. Pp 13/14 talks about Rex Cocroft showing his discovering about treehoopers communication skills to Mike Ryan.
