- One of if not the best examples of carbide lamp graffiti of any abandoned mine in all of Washington State.
Join us on this exploration of a abandoned copper mine dating to the early 1900s, where the echoes of pickaxes and the flicker of lamp lights still resonate through the corridors of time.
THE MAJORITY OF THE MINE NAMES ARE CHANGED OR ALTERED IN OUR VIDEOS TO PROTECT HISTORIC ARTIFACTS AND PREVENT THE SITE FROM BECOMING A NUISANCE SITE. IN SOME CASES WE HAVE BEEN GRANTED PRIVATE PROPERTY PERMISSION AND WE HAVE BEEN ASKED NOT TO DISCLOSE LOCATIONS.
Many ghost towns, mines and other forgotten historic sites in Washington State have already disappeared from history and many more are being lost each year to the ravages of time, wildfire, vandalism, and intentional closure. In addition to our many years of photographic documentation of these important historic sites we are now attempting to video document as many sites as we can so there is a lasting record of these places for future generations.
We hope you enjoy what we do and will join us on our adventures through a bygone era of Washingtons rich and colorful history. Not only do we love the history we explore and document, but we truly enjoy sharing these sites and experiences with our followers and viewers.
We appreciate you and thank you for Watching!!

I love how old grafiti is usually cursive. Found some under the north bound ramps of the viaduct before it came down.
It is some of the best graffiti we have encountered . Thanks for the comments.
Nice, adventure guys, the cabin and dump site looked interesting, for sure enough to explore more.
The blue mineralization in the mine could be azurite which is a copper ore. I am no geologist but that is my guess malachite I believe is more green. But I know Washington did/does have mines that had azurite in them.
Thanks for another abandon mine adventure guys.
Appreciate the information and the comments. Thanks again for watching!!
Those underwater shots are cool!
Thanks, Daryl.
Very nice mine and artifacts for sure! But best graffiti ever!! Thanks
Thank you very much!
Been in this mine also! Was super cool.
One of our favorites.
Dick McCurdy was a Friend of my father and associated with the Local Newspaper The Port Townsend Leader, brings back a lot of Local History not known of the Man.
Good information to know. Thanks for sharing it.
I get too nervous trying to explore mine shafts for some reason. But ghost town sites are a lot of fun. Thanks for the video!!!
Understand that. Thanks for watching and the comments. We appreciate it.
Pretty sure I found this mine last December. Non pareil. Had icicles all down the front. I have some amazing pictures. Amazing to see the inside
We can neither confirm nor deny that name. But glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for watching.
The blue veins on the walls reminds me of Turquoise.
It does have that look.
Turquoise is hydrated copper and aluminum phosphate. Usually it is found in copper mines. Finding some would be pretty cool 😎
The blue colored stuff is copper in the raw.
That was our initial thought. Thanks
There are abandoned coal mines near Renton. Don't go in any of them.
👍
I thought they were all filled in or boarded up.
