I drafted a day 3 DT in the 3rd round that ended up being the #1 player in the entire class at 82 OVR. There can be great players in those later rounds and I do appreciate that because it was never always that way in Madden.
I think Bigby should get moved to guard behind Ezra Cleveland, Bigby seems like a perfect fit to take over after Cleveland’s contract is up and he’s been injury prone so the rookie should get some playing time throughout the season
This is where the series gets great because I’m not sure I would’ve made the moves Cane made in this episode. I’m super excited to see how this turns out!
Oblivious to pressure is actually a good thing, it means the throw under pressure triggers less and doesn't suffer from inaccuracy in those circumstances, but oh well...If Arrington walks the team is done.
I think awareness is positions dependent. Like play rec and awareness is super important for LB and Safety. But how much awareness does an edge rusher or DT really need when the job every play is getting into the backfield no matter what. Also, it sucks we are getting relatively unlucky with Normal dev on our first round picks. But I do absolutely LOVE the "aggressiveness" of multiple trade backs
On one hand, it would be nice to be able to have the nuance to explain to Arrington that there isn't a real opportunity to upgrade on Lawrence. On the other, a star WR being a psycho is incredibly realistic
I think that you should've gotten a QB this year, but the draft class was weak. This might be a year where you consider being a seller at the deadline, no matter the record. Get more draft capital for the next few seasons (and if you find one in FA, then you can look for a replacement for Arrington)
Spoiler warning: Very uninspiring offseason imo. One good future starter, one possible starter (the C) and one okay starter with lower upside at a secondary position. I think this team really needed a QB but it was definitely a weird offseason to get one. I can’t blame Cane too much but not inspired with Lawerance at QB another year. Hope next years QB class is a lot better!
Honestly, anything he would have done to grab a QB would have been pretty unrealistic. Glad he is keeping the series more true to real life instead of cheesing the CPU with trades
Kept Lawrence. Didn't even offer Hutch despite $100M+ in cap room and medium interest. Offered Branch and got nothing, ended with ~$30M cap room (Hutch signed for 40 AAV). Didn't draft a QB despite having one fall to you. Traded back, still had the QB available, yet traded down again. QB is finally gone after multiple trade downs to the end of the 1st round. Traded up in the 2nd to grab a DE after passing on Hutch. Hit on that pick but he's a backup unless you move Walker - the rest are likely 2nd string. Not sure we're gonna be much better this season; hope we get through this year quickly!
About to watch, and I really hope we move on from Lawrence this season. He just isn't our guy, he puts up decent numbers but he crumbles in clutch moments. We need to get something for him while he still has some value on his name, and find a young QB with some upside to build on. Loving the series, Cane!
Will always feel bad for Trevor. Dude always looked like a good QB that got stuck with such garbage in his most crucial development years that did nothing to help him
Ever think about taking some talent evaluation lessons from someone like Bengal? :) It's not that you're bad, per se, but you seem to consistently miss on unknowns, rarely finding hidden dev players...
Love him or hate him, Arrington's making things interesting on and off the field alike. I hate to say it, but I'm actually kind of digging it. Kind of. Eh. Like you said, a somewhat pedestrian offseason, though understandably so given the less-than-favorable free agent field and hit-or-miss draft board that followed. Shame we couldn't move up and nab Justin Rice (LOL at Seattle giving that tall glass of water Russ' old number - that's a whopping 7-inch height difference!), but good as he'll probably be, he wasn't quite worth kneecapping ourselves with that Sonny Weaver Jr.-caliber trade the Jets insisted upon. Speaking of kneecaps, I was actually pretty miffed Paul went to the Lions literally one pick before ours (if for no other reason than losing the ability to turn him down ourselves), but given his ratings + traits, I can't really imagine him overcoming his flaws in our system as it stands. It'll be interesting to see how Detroit handles the transition from Goff… even if all signs point to Madden's A.I. botching it one way or another. If so, oh well. Not expecting too much from this coming season - MAYBE a wildcard berth if we're luckier on our 4th-quarter dice rolls? - but hopefully it gives us a better idea of this team's future AND some far more tantalizing prospects to scout along the way. Looking forward to it!
You've got a lot more patience than I do, Cane. If Eli Arrington had come into my office and thrown a tantrum like that, I'd have traded him to the Jets for a bundle of picks by the end of the day and sent him a card that said "Enjoy your new tax bill, asshole." It's a solid offseason, if not spectacular; you did a good job addressing what needs you could in free agency and the draft picks look okay. I think Baxter and Lewis have a chance to be adequate regular contributors with a chance to boost their dev traits through good play, and although I probably wouldn't have prioritized a DE this year with Travon and Hines-Allen still being very good players, I think Martin Cooper will be a good one. L'Darius Bigby probably should kick out to left guard; you mentioned that he could be a possible future replacement for Ezra Cleveland and that's where his run blocking skills would grade out best. Joe Wilder intrigues me. He's raw, but he's got decent physical tools and a big frame, and he's only 22. I would make him a Focus Player and prioritize developing him-- with a couple of years of seasoning, he might be an important part of what the Jags WR corps looks like after Arrington and Thomas are gone.
That's what I want my team to do with Tyreek!!! But instead it looks like they'll totally cave and beg him to come back before trading him anyway for a conditional 6th 😢
I personally think I would have chosen Arrington over Lawrence. The chances Lawrence becomes anything amazing is slim to none. Arrington could be an X factor come playoffs
Just jagged Your best draft pick in Eli Arrington for a 27 year old bronze development QB 🤡better stock up on WRs to develop another stud when he leaves
Any chance you could upload the playbook when you make your edits for the next season? I love running the cpu franchises but don’t have the patience or desire to make my own playbook.
I don't think Arrington is gone just yet. Remember, the last QB he played with wasn't Lawrence because of injury. He didn't specifically name Lawrence. I think the scheme and the backup QB triggered the game's algorithm. I know I'm thinking more like a programmer than a story teller. But let's see if a new scheme and a healthy Lawrence can change his mind.
You need to put more emphasis on the physical ratings and not the skill ratings in these drafts. Those are much less likely to develop as they level up and tend to be a better indicator of overalls in my experience.
Lets go! Excited for thos off-season! Hopefully we can answer a big question at the QB1 position. I just don't have faith that Lawrence is out answer there
I’m pretty sure all qbs that get drafted have conservative decision making which is dumb. So in my league I just gave the really good qbs ideal or aggressive. Depending on if they were field general or strong arm or whatever
Not sure what you ended up signing strange to, but his initial resign deal wasn't for 6mill a year. That was 12 mil total for 3 years. So closer to 4. Liked what you did overall. With the cap room you have this year and next I would of offered a very high price 2 or 3 year for branch in FA. Otherwise its been great. And I'm off tomorrow for the stream!!
I've never seen anyone over analyze everything like this dude. You'd think he's making a life changing decision everytime he has to decide anything 😂😂😂😂😂
Star WR being mad at his QB might be the most realistic thing I’ve ever seen. Glad you’re doing those cane. Adds a lot of depth
Got that Hill in him!
@@eulisjones630facts
He also doesn't want to pay income tax. Would you change that about him?
GM Cane: strong drafts, salary cap management, great in free agency
Coach Nate Bell: player and media relations disaster
10/10 content, no notes
Geno Harris all over again
"I'm known for my speed.
Would you change that about me?"
No way we're gonna lose Eli Arrington just like that bro LMAO
Nate Bell the former lockdown CB turned Head Coach and his biggest opposition on the team is a WR, that’s gotta be ironic 😂
“A guy who brings the Thunder…and a guy who could play for the thunder!” 😂😂🤣🤣🤣
That may have gone under the radar for most viewers but to me that’s what makes cane such a good TH-camr.
"I hate QBs with long hair, would you change that about me?" ~ Eli Arrington
Bro’s doing his best Tyreek impression
The Jaguars constantly have me screaming why can’t you be normal. In real life and in this series. Eli the heck man?
I drafted a day 3 DT in the 3rd round that ended up being the #1 player in the entire class at 82 OVR. There can be great players in those later rounds and I do appreciate that because it was never always that way in Madden.
I had a undrafted Lg with a 2nd-3rd round grade be a 72 overall with superstar development once
Gaurd/center and d tackle have always been positions you could great players in round 4 and 5.
You should consider moving Travon Walker back inside to DT to give the new edge rusher more playing time
The line had the best season when he was on the inside.
I always enjoy my day a bit more when these rebuilds drop
I reckon Joe Wilder could be a great TE
The scouting profile said A run block? Maybe give it a look
It is A for a receiver though…Probably low 70s at best.
@MinnesotaPro-z5g true but still. With that size and speed. Could be a great TE2 option
@@Chughesy What was the size on him?
I mean like how tall was he?
@ 6ft 4 and like 240
I think Bigby should get moved to guard behind Ezra Cleveland, Bigby seems like a perfect fit to take over after Cleveland’s contract is up and he’s been injury prone so the rookie should get some playing time throughout the season
85 strength not gonna cut it at guard
Joe wilder would be a great TE calling it rn
This is where the series gets great because I’m not sure I would’ve made the moves Cane made in this episode. I’m super excited to see how this turns out!

I do really enjoy the faster pace. This has been a great feel
I would be curious to see Gary Paul's dev trait. Because with him backing up Goff I feel like if it's high he may lose it
Cane out here just letting Madden Devs ruin his experience with these storylines
To be fair this one makes more sense than the other ones lol
9:08 Tyreek Hill ahh statement
But seriously having a hothead receiver who hates his QB is overly realistic lol
I think that you should've gotten a QB this year, but the draft class was weak. This might be a year where you consider being a seller at the deadline, no matter the record. Get more draft capital for the next few seasons (and if you find one in FA, then you can look for a replacement for Arrington)
Ya u can't always trust those grades. I has the same look at wr ended up drafting him anyways and he was a hidden development.
Jags passing on Hutchinson for Walker twice was not in my bingo card.
Gary Paul giving Jay Cutler with that backwards hat
The best thing Geno Smith can mentor the other QBs on is to not get into a beef with a defensive end, or you may end up with a broken jaw.
I would have dumped T Law, but it feels like your close to being a QB away
Spoiler warning:

Says Gary Paul is oblivious to pressure, but he throws the ball away to avoid sacks???? 😂😂
Maddens got Diva receivers now!!! this is NFL SIMULATION!

18:59 looks like Hutchinson didn’t get an offer from the raiders like he hoped
Ever think about taking some talent evaluation lessons from someone like Bengal? :) It's not that you're bad, per se, but you seem to consistently miss on unknowns, rarely finding hidden dev players...
Just realized mahomes threw 58 touchdowns and broke mannings record.
This offseason has to be a D-. Missed out on draft choices, bad depth signings. It seems right on pace with the real jags LOL
Devin Lloyd lost his superstar dev trait right after gaining it you might want to take a look at that and consider changing it back
SPOILER OUTSIDE OF CANE TEASING A SPOILER WARNING
Gonna be cap hell when it’s time to drop sunshine
Wilder is a good kick returner 37:24
No upgrade at qb is wild lol, interesting to see how it goes

I'd say having a diva receiver adds a bit of realism lol
Wow first diva wide receiver in a Cane series
Hey, don't forget that Braylon Staley was threatening to transfer away from Buffalo over in the CFB25 series.
You've got a lot more patience than I do, Cane. If Eli Arrington had come into my office and thrown a tantrum like that, I'd have traded him to the Jets for a bundle of picks by the end of the day and sent him a card that said "Enjoy your new tax bill, asshole."

Just jagged Your best draft pick in Eli Arrington for a 27 year old bronze development QB 🤡better stock up on WRs to develop another stud when he leaves
Joe Wilder with A grade run blocking might be a good conversion target. Could he play tight end or fullback?
Why did Devin Lloyd lose superstar?
If it comes down to it, I say trade Arrington. Locker room problem possibly? Wants a different QB. Something that could happen irl possibly.
Trevor needs to be fine next season QB is MUST
We have a safety who brings the thunder and a d lineman who can play for the thunder 😂
Any chance you could upload the playbook when you make your edits for the next season? I love running the cpu franchises but don’t have the patience or desire to make my own playbook.

Any idea yet of when you’re gonna start the stream tomorrow? I’d love to be there
Turn Joe Wilder into a TE.
I give the offseason 4 Chris Ballards out of 5
2 years, 20 mill! Ezra Cleveland better be done with the injuries at that much money!
You need to put more emphasis on the physical ratings and not the skill ratings in these drafts. Those are much less likely to develop as they level up and tend to be a better indicator of overalls in my experience.
You pass on Hutchinson to draft a DE anyway?!?! I’m pulling my hair out!
Had this happen with DK metcalf traded for stroud but didn’t re order the depth chart so yeah he didnt wanna be here anymore lol
Lets go! Excited for thos off-season! Hopefully we can answer a big question at the QB1 position. I just don't have faith that Lawrence is out answer there
9:14 😳 dude!!
keep up this series
Check the trade block for a decent back up tight end
what sliders do u use for gameplay
You should have drafted the qb the Steelers picked for Arrington 😂
L’Damian Bigby was nice pick…wink wink
Eli Arrington really said: “I’m out bruh”
Are there dead cap hits in madden? If not this should be Lawrence’s last year in Florida
Sorry I’ve commented so much today, but what time is the live stream at?
I’m pretty sure all qbs that get drafted have conservative decision making which is dumb. So in my league I just gave the really good qbs ideal or aggressive. Depending on if they were field general or strong arm or whatever
Yeahhhhh, Arrington needs to go now. He is a diva, turning into like antonio brown and what not.
Shouldve gotten Paul.
You would have taken that QB at 31
If this year isn’t competitive you gotta consider trading Arrington and blowing it up
Insane that you haven't replaced Trevor Lawrence. He is so painfully mid. Losing Arrington in order to keep a mid QB is a pretty bad choice.
You need to do something with your d line to not waste your tookie season for cooper.
Still think you should have more aggressively gone after a QB in either Free Agency or Trade. Agree with not taking one in the draft though.
Wilder is a tight end
Not sure what you ended up signing strange to, but his initial resign deal wasn't for 6mill a year. That was 12 mil total for 3 years. So closer to 4.
Liked what you did overall.
With the cap room you have this year and next I would of offered a very high price 2 or 3 year for branch in FA.
Otherwise its been great.
And I'm off tomorrow for the stream!!
🔥
We lose Eli for Trevor Lawrence 😭
its funny because eli is right t law is the issue and its very cane too keep a qb too long
Love this series I still think Madden is fun this year those scenarios are still trash and make it soo much worse
1 minute ago is diabolical
Move Josh Hines-Allen to ROLB and develop you HD rookie
Why wouls u keep trevor lawrence pver eli arrington? Wow
I side with Arrington. Lawrence is a bum and should’ve been gone
Hopefully Chuck Johnson can take over the helm this season, he’s the chosen one
W
I've never seen anyone over analyze everything like this dude. You'd think he's making a life changing decision everytime he has to decide anything 😂😂😂😂😂
Didn’t Devin Llyod just magically lose his superstar? And wasn’t Cisco a superstar too?
Dis man sees free agency and says nah im good every year lmaooo how u not even make an offer on hutch
Go get Jared Goff!!!
Oh no! I'm 11 minutes late!
Trade his ass, what a diva 😂
CANEEEEEEEE😩
Sold terriblei😪😔
