Do you recommend cleaning gun before shooting it for the 1st time?

Some people do but in my option man you should be able to take the gun out of the Box and shoot it some people would say differently but I have never had a issue

I believe the Shield Manuel calls for lubricating the gun before shooting it.

The Equalizer can which is the same thing but optics cut or you can get a plate that goes through your rear dove tail
