    i hate when people suggest the "type of people" that should use a gun. The gun is for whoever likes it. I've shot and owned quite a few different pistols. I don't have any issues with arthritis and i'm not old. I just like the gun. I like the way it looks, feels in my hand, and shoots. Not only that, with a few mods this gun looks SICK. It looks good with no mods too. Just saying....its all user preference. Don't not buy the gun because the reviewer suggests its for elderly or people who are weak. This gun is AWESOME. Very easy to use and shoot. Thats what you want with an Every Day Carry.

    I'm a dude with no physical impairments to my operation of a handgun, and I find myself fawning over my girlfriend's 380 EZ. It is a very impressive feat of engineering in and of itself. The logic involved in the safeties installed and the administrative procedure planned for in terms of newer shooters being pushed toward safe practices is something to be admired.

    I was looking for something for my wife, for a house gun. She is very good with my SR9 and SR40, but she has rheumatoid arthritis in her hands will soon need something easier to manipulate. After watching this video, I ordered the PC, EZ9 in gold color. She loves it! So do I. So I ordered a second one in silver. She immediately claimed the silver one as hers! We shoot these so much on a SALUTE duelling tree, the EZ9s are always dirty. Therefore, I felt it necessary to order a third one, in silver, before I retire (As an LEO, I can legally buy these little gems in California. Once I retire, I cannot)! So we now have a total of THREE, PC EZ9 pistols!
    Thanks for the great video

    The grip safety absolutely sucks. I had to file and sand it down. Someone at S&W screwed up big time... They need to make a running change and send out new grip safeties to those people who have already bought one.

    I'm a new shooter with arthritis in both hands and wrists. Because of that, I didn't think I'd ever be able to handle anything more than a .22 caliber which isn't ideal for defense. So I got the Performance Center version of this gun in 380 and I love it. It has quite a bit more recoil then my .22 obviously, but to my surprise, I CAN still handle it. Only thing I don't like is that after shooting it for a while at the range, that sharp grip safety did irritate my hand. However, in a self defense situation it wouldn't be a problem. I got a good pair of gym gloves to shoot with at the range and problem solved. I can even shoot this gun with one hand and still manage the recoil enough to shoot accurately. I highly recommend it.

    I am a big guy 6'2" 250 but I have to admit I love the fact of their performance center version is so soft to shoot, it just makes shooting that much more enjoyable. Also you could probably take a piece of masking tape or electrical tape ride over the edges of that grip safety to keep those edges and cutting into your hand.

      The potential of the grip safety biting me is the only reason I don't want it. The reasons that I want it definitely outweigh that. I forced myself to put hundreds of rounds through a 500 magnum to get rid of recoil sensitivity. But I still appreciate a soft shooting firearm.

    Grip safety/back strap safety is a constant topic on the ez series. Let's talk the two different grip safety's. The performance center has the higher raised safety. This does 2 things: it's easier to disengage the safety feature and increases the diameter of the grip as well as changing the grip angle by changing the back strap angle. Along with the flat trigger and the lighter overall weight, the feel of the gun is different. A feel I happen to like more (I have the ez 9 and ez 380 performance center). I purchased the ez 9mm with concerns about the grip safety. Turns out with this frame (the frames are identical between the 9mm & 380), I prefer the higher raised performance center grip feel. I generally don't put more than 50 rounds thru them during a range visit and haven't had any pinch/pain issues from the grip safety. I enjoy shooting both but, might trade in the 9mm for a performance center 9mm. Btw, my wife doesn't like either gun's feel. She does like my p365 though. Everyone is different. I just don't understand some people deciding they don't like a gun by looking at it without holding it much less shooting it.

    I just ordered the performance edition will it affect the warranty on the gun if I file the safety and round it so it fits better? By the way really enjoy your channel

      I would say yes since your physicaly modifying the safety, but that's just my guess. I wish they made a version without the backstrap safety. I'm not a fan

      You can interchange the normal EZ with the PC EZ... I've already looked and grip safeties are sold out everywhere I've looked.

    I'm looking to add another pistol to my to my collection and I'm looking for a new 380. I have a Bursa and I'm looking for one with a floating barrel as opposed to a fixed barrel on the Bursa. Does this model M&P come in 380. If not could you recommend one .

      It does. I have the 380 and the 9 and both are great.

    Most striker fired guns are spongier than a crisp hammer fired gun.

  • @HalfCrazy520
    @HalfCrazy520 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    So a striker-fired pistol has an inherently better trigger than a hammer-fired pistol? I cannot believe you said that out loud...

  • @thegoru0106

    Wish it had more capacity, 8 is not good enough for a pistol that this size.

      I'd rather have the 365 than an EZ.
      More rounds and you don't have to worry about potentially damaging the grip safety when reassembling the firearm... But that's a personal preference.

    I hate to contradict you but it's a natural known fact that a single stage hammer fired trigger is much lighter than a striker fired handgun. It's like saying a 1911 has a harder trigger pull than a Glock. That wouldn't happen in a million years. I suggest doing a little more research. No offense intended I just thought I'd help you out on the facts.

  • @paulcallaway71
    @paulcallaway71 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hammer fired guns don't have as smooth & light trigger as striker fired guns?? What!? I guess if it's a double action only revolver, sure. Granted, striker fired triggers are getting better but I've not found any striker fired gun that feels better than the trigger on my SAO pistol. And my wife has a 9 EZ and it doesn't feel like a striker fired gun to me...to me it feels like a decent SAO that it is. I don't know, maybe I don't shoot enough pistols to know better, but that's like, my opinion man. That all being said, I do like the feel and function of the 9EZ very much but for me it's a tad big for CCW so I do hope they made a Shield Plus sized version cause I'd throw my money at S&W for that.

    Do you think you can do anything more than this old crap! Get the SCCY - DVG , with no read that definitely without a doubt a huge challenge to the Sigg P3 65, and the Springfield hellcat. Well-built gone just a micro size bigger than either one 10+12 mags striker fired, lifetime warranty, warranty follows the gun not the owner, Flat trigger, 5.5 pound trigger pole, well-built, very well-built, made in USA Florida by a man who knows his stuff. Get the gun if you want, shoot it first, and then review it. Do it without the red dot. I’m sick of seeing this channel ready to unsubscribe same crap over and over
