Hi Tim, thank you for these guided sessions. I can do the last bit of this session perfectly with my back against the wall, however I was also diagnosed to have initial osteoarthritis few years back wherein I observe sharp pain in right knee cap whenever I try to do squats or using stairs. Will this help in strengthening the knees in my case as well?
I danced my whole childhood and had to stop in my teenage years due to my knees snapping. And when they would snap during floor moves in hiphop, sometimes i would lose all of my control and face plant into the floor. Im hoping these exercises will help because i would love to practice dance again.
Thanks Tim! I’ve been told my knee going over my toes has been a cause of my knee pain so watching that when I’m lunging or squatting. Is there benefit on an otherwise healthy knee to lunging deeper?
Hey! Whoever told you that might not understand the function of the knee unfortunately. If that were true you’d never be able to walk down stairs. And that would be a bummer. As the knee gets healthier we want to restore full function to the knee. That’s why these movements only come after a you’ve been doing part one and the knee is ready. There should be no pain when trying any of this stuff.
Yes good point about the walking downstairs.. I think they might of been in terms of weightlifting.. Would that then impact how much your knee goes over your toes? I guess if I was walking downstairs I wouldn't want my knee to be going over my toes too much as I could see how there's potential for your knee to give way.. @@yogawithtim
It is hard to say, but it depends on the severity of the situation with your knee and how adapted you are to jogging. It also depends on how long a jog. A quick 10 min jog would be good, but something real long, you might want to alternate days or different times in the day when you have more energy. You're trying to teach a knee to recover from the stimulus we're introducing. Too much stimulus, and it won't be able to recover. If you have a serious knee issue, that might be a better question for your doctor.
Hi, I loved this exercise and feel I need it. I have a problem of following you as the excersise continue as you change so fast. I am not able to listen and follow
There are more kneed videos on the channel that may work better for you. In the search bar on my site type in knees and you’ll see all the knees videos 😉

Twisted my knee in dirt bike wreck, looking to do this to help it.
OK. let me know how it works for you
How many of the L-sit (20 second hold) just one? I could only hold 10 sec!
Work up to a minute total. Start with 2 holds at 20 seconds, then after a couple weeks, try 3

Hey! That might be a better question for your doctor and PT. But I’m here if you have any questions about the exercises 👍

Tim, would you do this before going on a jog or after??

@@yogawithtim thanks for the info! No knee issues here, just looking to build strength and prevent injury. I’ll space it out.
