The eggs they do lay are fed back to the chickens. Egg laying hens are bred to lay significantly more eggs than they naturally would and they lose a lot of vital nutrients in this process. (Eggs are not fertile, they are basically like a period for humans. And imagine if someone modified a women’s body to have a period every day instead of once a month.) It takes a lot of energy and nutrients, so feeding the eggs back to them allows them to be stronger, healthier and happier 💓

I always get real sentimental when it comes to animals. I can start crying at any moment when I come across any animal, except a lion, bear, shark, snake you get the point. I still love those animals but respect them enough to stay away from them.

Veganism doesn't work for everyone. I was vegan for 6 months and completely messed up my blood sugar! I ended up in the hospital. It took WEEKS before my blood sugar was stable again. My doctor explained to me that NOT everyone can be vegan. It depends on your body. Something everyone CAN do is pay attention to their food sources. Eat quality and sustainable whether you eat meat or not.

I talk about mental health because I think the internet can use more transparency. I don’t believe I’ll ever get to a state where I don’t have some bad days, but I’m generally a very happy and healthy person (both mentally and physically.) Im not interested in ex-vegan stories because I don’t believe anyone who has seen the cruelty of animal agriculture & made the connection can start supporting the industry again. Most likely, this girl was probably plant based for health and not connected to the animal abuse behind the industry. That’s her journey and she has every right to speak her truth - but I have been to slaughterhouses and seen so much undercover footage that I know I will be vegan for the rest of my life. If I felt like my diet was negatively affecting my mental or physical health, I would change my diet but still be vegan. Hope this adds some clarity to my thought process behind this 😌 merry Christmas and happy holidays!
You're TOO DEPENDENT on her. It's not healthy. When you create scenarios and dread because your partner is away, temporarily that's called Relationship Dependency and it's not normal. Most people just have trust in their partner rather than become anxious creating scenarios in their head.
I’m not anxious because I don’t trust tori or I’m worried what she’s doing. I’m anxious because I’m alone in a big city where there are a lot of break ins and it’s been 7+ months since I traveled solo. It was a difficult transition to feel safe sleeping alone and traveling on my own this week. Maybe its not the healthiest thing, but this was my reality and I chose to be vulnerable about it online because I don’t want to contribute to over-glamorizing my life and not being honest about my experience. I did not share my feelings to get unsolicited opinions from strangers online though.
A good reminder to love ourselves a little extra sometimes. Enjoy your holidaze.
