people, before going on calling the guy an idiot for having the left indicator on all the time, READ THIS: in germany we do that so that people in front of you know that you are speeding...since we have no speed limits and because you cannot always judge how fast someone is approching you just by looking in the mirrors, we leave the left indicator on, so people in front of you see that you are approching rather fast! so stop calling the guy an idiot
Always found the standard of driving on the autobahn in Germany was really good, the lane discipline was excellent. People returned to lane after an overtake 👍
Don't know what some of you are talking about regarding his lane positioning. Riding in the left lane of a highway, proper positioning is to the right of center so the rider is more visible in the side view mirror of vehicles riding in the right lane. Riding left of center would take him out of the field of view.
Most of the time, its not the bike, more the rider! Take it round the Isle of man TT circuit with its many twists & turns, as in this vid: Steve Hislop - TT Flyer - Honda VFR 750
I own a 2001 VFR800i. I enjoy the bike. I've owned R1, 954RR, ZX12R etc VFR is the best of the lot, great sound with a Leo Vince' pipe, enough power, great tank range, yes it looks like a jelly mould but I don't care. I can still keep up with my mates on their R1's and ZX10R's on the twisties. You guys comparing a VFR with a Mille is like comparing a F1 car with a V8 touring car. Would it interest you to know a VFR has a faster roll on speed than a 916??? Keep it real people, sorry, peeps
yeah, i think so, too. but, in germany this isn't a really bad thing like a lot of people think round here. it's pretty normal, that people who are riding fast leave it on to indicate they're coming in fast and will overtake. it's actually not allowed, but a lot of people do it. it's funny how people leave comments without ever having driven on a german autobahn.
He is a good rider...I ride a 2001 VFR 800fi everyday on the German Autobahn to work in Luxembourg. He is only doing around 240 but his indicator is most definately on..equally when I am doing that kind of speed I leave mine on as well....it saves some idiot in a Porsche ramming you from behind !!!
+Rodney Jones You want to compare a heavy 100hp sport touring bike to a 600cc 130-140hp gsxr/cbr/zx6r/r6? My best friend has a 1990 and a 1995 VFR750 and although they are very nice bikes and very comfortable no, they are definitely not faster. It was just as fast as my badly maintained 1992 zzr600 slushbox and that's about it.
Now stock yea you may get 145 on a good day lol.I surprised alot of folks I ride with....hey idbu ride in md hit me up always burn the get up lol.but trust me my vfr 750 will do any 600 in!!!
It is true, the vfr 800 fi is an awsome bike, I have one for sale at the minute as new projects require funds haha. check out my videos for the vfr anniversary edition.
I was going insane watching the left blinker until I read some comments. I guess we are a little behind on some common courtesy’s in the US. People like to sit in the fast lane and bikers aren’t so nice either. I’m a rider and guilty of what I’m pointing out. So???? Guess I won’t bit$& about the blinker.
ha. cool. i went to the nurburg ring last month with my brother on his r1. those back packs slow you down like crazy. i rode from strasbourg to nurburg with my back pack on with my rsv on the autobahn with my rsv mille. man, it would not pull past 160mph with my rucksac. i know she quiet a bit more in her. i was about 8700ish on the rev counter. anyways when i got home to strasbourg, i found out that the force of the wind had open my zip on my bag. i lost a few bits and bobs. bummer :(
riding too close to the white line when in the outside lane my friend, there's a name for people who do that, what is it now...... ah yes.....organ donor!
WTF?! Riding down the Autobahn with your blinker on?!?! ...I'd expect that from an Asian woman driving a volvo - not someone on a viffer interceptor! Slap yourself and go stand in the corner.

I was thinking that was why... Thanks for clarifying - especially for the youtube trolls.
+Pe Peroni rly make sence ty for pointing that out
Pe Peroni Good to know and also quite a good idea 👍
Only time a BMW driver uses his indicator 😅

I have the same bike have had it for 7 years and love it
Cruising at 150mph! It would be nice if we can do that on the US interstate highways. It would let us cover 1000 miles in in just 7 hours.
Missing german autobahns already!

I don't know what everyone was complaining about, I enjoyed it.
you did well to keep up that speed on the vfr with the tank bag on it blows your head off
Great Blast, nice road…….must have woken a few up as you passed!!! Great Bike!!!
vfr 800fi best bike ever made gear driven cams enough said xx
nope..BLACKBIRD is best bike
The 750 is the one you want
SWEET!! Have the older VFR 700 an will have to do the Autobahn someday!! Thanks for the video.
Cool video. Kind of too bad you had that giant tank bag on, you could have tucked down and gotten more speed. Thanks for sharing.
that bike would do that on the motorway all day long
Actually his left blinker is on. Vfr blinkers are pretty weak, expecially in the light, but you can notice the green.
Haha the Aprilia kicks that Honda's ass
Textbook fast driving, excellent positioning and control at speed. Good riding dude, I wish I was as good :-)
Safe fast high speed ride,i enjoyed watching. Thanks for uploading :)

Agreed, it seems the Honda-driver doesn't have that much experience yet.
You should have shifted gears a bit more, as the VFR800Fi has most power in 5th and not in 6th. And yes, I ride this way in Germany too :-)

O.K. man, we got it, you didn't have to post it 4 times, jeeze ! :P
do like those vfr's ,just keep going n going.more fun in bendies though
i wonder if he still has the indicator on? well, at least someone should give him the heads up...
some say his left blinker is on even when the bike is parked
omfgwtfbbq90 legend says his blinker has an own will.
its deliberate. on the autobahn its the 'im coming thru at speed' signal
here is a heads up,left indicator means travelling at high speed on the Autobahn.
Maybe buy the 2014 VFR, it has self cancelling indicators!!
It's normal on the Autobahn to leave your blinker on during high speed runs
maybe dont leave messages that make you look stupid lmfao.
and all the other bikes would blow up
Mine is known as the fastest in the world NEW HONDA VFR 800RR 200MPH +

what brand of windsield is that
The true land of the free
VFR is the best
what exhaust u've got?
fast autobahn riding is easy - the trick is fast stopping - them Germans pull out to pass trucks very quickly
I Bet the Mille will be stoping for fuel waaaaaay before the viffer
COOL!!!
i know the guy total speed freak insane if you ask me
Erm going fast in a straight line kinda easy and boring??? need some twisties dude.
Hey, your blinker's on... ;-)
Wild

riding too close to the white line when in the outside lane my friend, there's a name for people who do that, what is it now...... ah yes.....organ donor!
Cancel your indicator!!!!
Everytime I do this, I feel sorry for my tyres... the middle wears out so quickly during such speeds on straights... :( but fun nevertheless
but nice video
WTF?! Riding down the Autobahn with your blinker on?!?! ...I'd expect that from an Asian woman driving a volvo - not someone on a viffer interceptor! Slap yourself and go stand in the corner.
Bell end
Boring
