I'm sorry but skipping over her being an alcoholic and the emotional issues post-Rogue is a big miss. That arc, along with her House of M realizations, is how she became the character she is today.
He even included that crappy retcon about women stereotypes...
They wiped out anything that could have possibly made her look weak in any way. She has zero character arc. She tries something, and she’s great at it. There’s no real struggles and failures giving us nothing to root for. She’s just a one dimensional op token that can go toe to toe with a fully powered gauntleted Thanos. Of course these very valid criticisms are just tossed aside with Brie claiming it’s just sexism.

It's so refreshing to see this video pre movie about the comic. Because I'm trying to write an article critique and everything about the character seems to be polluted to the point I'm afraid to be biased regarding my critique.
I would really appreciate a history of Nova episode, and I would love to see more mutants and X-men such as Colossus, Gambit, Nightcrawler and so on. Also, my favorite is Captain Atom, specifically Nathaniel Christopher Adam, and would love a history of him. Love your show. Keep up the good work
Honestly, They should've made a Mar-Vell movie. Portrayed by a male actor and the story goes like this. Mar-Vell had lived on Earth for years with the Skrull princess and his son, Teddy. When he found out he had cancer and had a talk with his wife. He decided to contact Nick Fury, since they knew each other for a long time. Helping him in different missions and eventually leading him to fight his comrade and rival, Yon Rogg grabs the bomb that is about to destroy the earth, throws it to space and succumb to his cancer, and dies a hero.
Her costume as Captain Marvel is one of best superhero costumes in all of fiction. No cleavage window, no high heels, no inexplicably exposed thighs, a sensible haircut. It's pretty badass.
I'm full on with the costume and all but gotta be honest, that haircut sucks! should've went with her original long natural blonde hair, she will look like a bad-ass mixed between her original classic and her modern look.

I cannot wait for Carol to join the MCU. I just hope whomever Marvel decides to cast as her, she is as beautiful and badass as her comic and Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes counterpoint. But Marvel hasnt let me down yet.

I hope soon Marvel Company makes Captain Marvel 2. I REALLY wanted to see Karla Sofen/Moonstone in that movie. I REALLY wanted to see the Marvel Hero and Villain Showdown between Captain Marvel and Moonstone.

Very, Very good. Thank you. I remember Avengers Annual #10 and seeing Rogue for the first time. The story was well written with beautiful artwork. It told the story you mentioned earlier and introduced us to Rogue. Now Carol Danvers is more powerful than ever and went from Ms. Marvel to Captain Marvel, who used to be black. Your coverage was so well done and I appreciate you.
Freddie Manuel Rogue is my favorite comic book character. I remember going back and reading Avengers Annual #10 to see her first appearance. It was exciting seeing her do exactly what you’d expect of her. Rogue introduced me to Carol Danvers as well. It was cool seeing more of her history when I’ve honestly never gone into depth with it

I did not know she still had some cosmic powers. I would watch a show and or movie with her in it. I have always loved how they did her in the comics. She may not get the most shine but she can hang with the best of them with powers and story

Ms. Fanservice: Carol for a long time was practically the poster girl for this before her "promotion" to being the new Captain Marvel. Her first Bare Your Midriff costume was originally derived from the red-and-blue Kree uniform of Captain Marvel, but after emerging from under his shadow she was given a distinctive new black-and-gold leotard costume with a lightning bolt motif; this costume get many Male Gaze. This was lampshaded by Moonstone/Dark Ms. Marvel in Avengers: The Initiative when she asks Tigra just how Carol wears these outfits, and by Eventually it was finally averted with her latest outfit, which aside from being form-fitting, is about as non-fanservice as you can get and Amazonian Beauty: Although her physique varies Depending on the Artist, she is a big woman who has very strong muscles, toned broad shoulders, muscular yet voluptuous body, and standing in at 5'11" and over 160 lbs. Frank Cho in particular makes her look like Cammy. Her newer titles have her looking less overtly curvy, and far more muscular, than before.
I liked her as Ms. Marvel better.
I think Ms.Marvel is way better with Kamala Khan.
character design wise? cuz her personality hasn't changed much. In fact, she's a lot more strong willed and confident now than ever.

The alter ego of Mar-Vell was named Dr. Walter Lawson when he met Carol Danvers. Philip Lawson was the character's alter ego in the "Ultimates" universe.
Carol Danvers did not find out that her powers were similar to Captain Marvel before putting on the costume, Ms. Marvel appeared on the scene in full costume before Carol even knew what was happening. At the beginning of the series Carol/Ms. MArvel was a split personality in a heavy-handed metaphor for struggle for femile identity in the era of feminism.
Finally, I wish you would pronounce the "Z" in "Ms." Ms. is the non-marital-status-specific title for a female, and was embraced by the feminist movement (hence, "Ms." magazine). Ms. Marvel was positioned as the "first feminist superhero," hence the name.
And one more minor detail, I consider Billy Batson's alter ego in the New 52 to be a different character from his alter ego everywhere else. If the Flash is Jay Garrick in Earth-1 and Barry Allen in Earth-1, then Billy Batson is "Shazam" in New 52 and "Captain Marvel" everywhere else (Earth-S, Post-Crisis, Post-Zero Hour, and Earth-5).
All things considered, though, your accuracy score is very high for the Interwebs on this topic, so congrats, and keep up the good work!

Captain Marvel is easily my fourth favorite superhero and third favorite avenger!! She has one of the coolest power sets and he's has done some real ly great story arcs and villains both as Captain Marvel and Ms Marvel. Moonstone is easily one of my favorite captain marvel super villains along with Ronan and Magnitron.!!

Hard to believe, but during the Golden Age, Fawcett's Captain Marvel actually sold more comics than Superman. That is probably the reason DC went agressively after Fawcett while countless imitators went unscathed. It is believed Fawcett eventually threw in the towel because superhero comics were on the wane by the early 50's.

Fair enough to say that this history is not exhaustive, but an important detail is that her original costume, created by the psyche-magnetron, gave her her flight powers (and her strength?). A later exposure bound those powers directly to her so she didn't need the costume. She also had a Miracle Man style dual personality, each persona having no knowledge of the other for several issues, and experiencing 'blackouts'. The costume would appear and disappear, as required. Simpler times...

So, I have never really seen anything of Captain Marvel / Mrs Marvel because of the lack of comic availability where I live. The firs and only time I've seen Carol Denvers was when I played the Marvel Ultimate Alliance games. It is interesting to finally learn about the character. I am tentatively optimist to see the movie, a lot of people have been raising red flags about it so I am not sure yet.
By "a lot of people raising red flags" are you referring to the people who are so angry at this movie's release they're frothing at the mouth? Don't you think it's suspicious that they have such a strong hatred for this movie that hasn't even come out? They have an extremely obvious agenda, and are out to get this movie. You'll notice a lot of them are also Star Wars "fans" who hate Disney for The Last Jedi, they were also behind the planned boycott for Black Panther last year.

It was never an issue. The character named Captain MArvel never had a problem, the character named Shazam doesn'thave a problem. (The New 52 Shazam can control what happens when he says the word.)

He was one of the first big superhero deaths (who read The death of Capt Marvel series??). He left big shoes to fill. The legacy he leaves makes her role even more important.
