- The Alpine at Whistler Blackcomb got absolutely nuked with blower November powder. In a single day over 100cm of snow accumulated and loaded into some alpine areas. Since I’m not allowed to climb up the Whistler ski resort, I climbed up one of the closest alpine areas adjacent to the resort, Brandywine Mountain to see how things were filling in! The skiing was ridiculously deep and I didn’t even kiss a shark. We can’t say the same for Matt… Super stoked I got my first face shots for the season. I think this is a sign for great things to come. Whistler Blackcomb opening day is only a few days away.

Dude!!!!! The other channels that are slightly or even much bigger than you are struggling with making repetitive videos. Your videos are MILES better! You not only love to ski but you love to talk to the camera and just be yourself. That’s what it takes I love that for you. You’ll be right up there with Jonathan and catania I’m sure by the end of the season (idk if I spelled the names right)

This was great, we went up right behind you guys last weekend, got 3 bomb laps in above the meadow before the snow started to fall. Best early season skiing ever! Props on scootching all the way down!

Im from the UK and love skiing the alps, Im moving to NZ (christchurch) this year and cant wait to have a local spot to go skiing. Whistler is also definitely on the bucket list for sure!

Don't you worry. The helly is still the daily driver. I love that HH jacket haha. This is my new ski touring shell. It packs way lighter than the helly and I don't have that much room in the airbag pack!
Nice! Considering metal dome to traverse to some of the peaks between it and Brandywine (still gotta fulfill my peakbagging duties 😂), while the road can still be driven fairly high. Can't get out til Sunday tho, hopefully things remain driveable til then
Went out yesterday, sootip was a bit to deadfall-y in the forest for good skiing, but the alpine was fantastic! On the drive back, the runs at whistler looked properly white, so next week should be good 🤞
You should be able to make it up the road to just about where we did unless there was some serious melt. Stoked to ride a chairlift soon.
Lived in Whis from 2010 - 2019 and having major FOMO. Life comes quick, always planned to move back now it's less certain. Miss that place so fkn much.

What poles are you using here? They aren't the ones in your gear video! Looking for a pole with that style of grip and all the ones I'm aware of aren't easy to get in Canada

Yo dude Tech question from one TH-camr to another.
Are you only using insta360 now or do you also use GoPro?
What's the insta do you shoot in 4k 50 frames or 5.7 30?
I normally shoot everything in 60 frames, and want a insta360 but see the x2 only does 4k 50fps.
What are your thoughts, cheers 🥂
Hey!
I use the go pro hero 11 all stock settings. For talking and views I use the linear setting. For downhill I use superview or hyperview and tend to mix it up.
Insta360 is an X3 mountain directly on my head and I either film in 5.7k 30 or 4k30 and edit it on my iphone and download at 1080p.
If you're compressing it to 1080 and editing on the iphone like I do the 5.7k should only make a marginal difference in image quality...
Maybe it does look a tad better because of improved technology but I wouldn't say its crazy.
Go pro and iphone take the crispiest view shots at the end of the day!

Its my new touring shell. A sweet company called MADE Outdoor hooked me up. Way lighter than the Helly Hansen for uphill journeys. Still prefer the Helly on-resort though because of the square pockets!

It's actually not a cross body pack. I'm running an avalanche backpack and I have a go pro chest mount on underneath my bag!

Believe it or not I've worked full-time in sales the entire time I've run the channel. Recently I was laid off and I might take a huge risk and try to flip to full time TH-cam.
