25.6ct unheated pigeon blood ruby feels heavenly amazing wearing it 😍...beyond words..was my great grandpa's took it 4 appraisal and it's priceless..Rest in peace gGgrandpa
The quality of rubies are based on the color of the stone. I would say an emerald cut ruby is great if you dont see a large inclusions/speck in the window the emerald cut creates
@@thatjewelryguy3411 would you recommend purchasing online? I am looking for a men's pinky ring. All the brick and mortars where I live do not keep quality men's rings in their inventory. Price range 3-5k. thank you
@@johnharlan100 It's never wise to buy something online that you don't get to inspect in person. They can sell you a different stone than the stock photos.
@@johnharlan100 I think most of us are in this day and age. But with gemstones I'm willing to put in the extra effort to inspect in person, otherwise I buy most of my things online too! 😀
hey love tis video it has alot of new info i didnt know i got a question you mentioned the different metals and what they do now what does platinum do to the color? because i want my pendant to be set in platinum thank you
Hi good day. You know, but for a Ruby to be worth 30 million dollars, it has to be cut of the highest quality or it is possible that a stone is cut from the country of origin. of the gem and is cut by hand and has the same value as one made by machines. you tell me if it is so. Well, mine are handcrafted by the country of origin. mogok
Well yeah it comes back down to quality of the gemstone if it's poor quality its not worth a lot. The country of origin is hard to determine with rubies that is also why many gem lab's will not list the country of origin on a certificate. The cutting by hand or machine makes not difference quality is not judged based on the tools the cutter would use. Hopefully that helps :-) Thanks for watching the video
@@thatjewelryguy3411 well as far as I know GIA in your valuation letter if you want they put the origin of the stone since they ensure that those from a certain country are worth more due to their rarity since these are scarce at this point the Ruby pigeon blood from Myanmar is the most valuable and I at home and verified why this is more valuable and the secret is in the ultraviolet laser when it is exposed to this light the Myanmar Ruby is more intense. Compared to other stones of the same pigeon blood color in Africa and today. I have from three countries and of course those from other countries have a less intense glow under ultraviolet light. Hi is where you determine the origin of the inclusions. the origin is also determined: these points have been learned from the little I have read. about the origins of rubies. even. in blue sapphires there are also differences that determine their origins

I have some Rough Ruby Stone with analysis from laboratory but I could find any buyer if anyone interested I can give him more details. Location in France
Question of the day - Do you know where the name ruby came from?
Thank you. I love that you place value on the story behind the jewelry. It’s my favorite aspect of any piece.
