And then a few minutes later Cloud appears in the after credits, forgot all Zack's final words and steal his identity. Now that's painful =)))). This game is definitely one of the best FF prequel S.E ever made.
Duc Trong Pham YES AND THIS IS WHY I HATE CLOUD SO MUCH OMG. disrespecting Zack's sacrifice for nearly half of FF7 after he dragged his ass along for nine months trying to get back to Aeris!!!!! And Aeris never knew Zack was trying to get back to her AHHHHHHHHHHHH :( :( man this game was so good, but it broke my heart ugh
ahaha well I don't hate Cloud that much. At least he finally managed to defeat Sephiroth, and that proves he's really brave (especially when he stabbed Sephiroth in Nibelhelm, when he has no special power). Cloud inherited only Zack's power and identity, but then his bravery comes from himself and for that he deserves to be Zack's legacy. Well at least we should be glad that Cloud did not let Zack down (Zack never defeated Sephiroth). In terms of Aerith, it is truly sad that she never knew, but then in Advent children I think things have been settled down when the couple reunited in the lifestream. I don't really think Cloud intentionally tried to get Aerith, but it's simply because Aerith really made him comfortable when he lost his true memory and had a hard time dealing with his emotions. Tifa would never be able to do better than that. UGHHHH this is what I love about FFVII, complicated love stories and how fans have been arguing after all this time =)))))

And I love the discussion too =) Though....I STILL have a hard time buying how Cloud, who was too weak to make it into SOLDIER, was able to get close enough to stab Sephiroth, then survive getting impaled, THEN lift up Sephiroth using the sword that he was impaled upon and throw him off the bridge?!?? I dunno, i just never understood why I was supposed to like Cloud, or support him in any way, since he spends basically the first part of the game being a total jerk, then you find out he's an imposter and a liability to boot, and possesses no special abilities to explain how he gained these mysterious awesome combat abilities. I just didn't like the inconsistency in storytelling. But yeah, at least Aeris and Zack got some closure in the lifestream and they appeared together in Advent Children. It's just still SO SAD AND UNFAIR WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM THOUGH OMG GAHHHHHHHHH.
Yeah I don't quite get why Cloud was able to do that either, but definitely partly because Sephiroth lost his focus when he found his mother, and also he was exhausted after battling Zack (Zack is good isn't he). I also agree how the hell Cloud deserves to live after so many times he was on the verge of death (fight Sephiroth in Nibelheim, running away from Shinra army with Zack, falling hundreds of feet down to the church, falling into lifestream), and Zack just got killed simply by having suffer from Jenova cells, which made him weaker than usual. It could be better if they could have all survive along with their lovers. But come to think about it, isn't what real life is supposed to be? :(. Sometimes heroes and good pp just have to die for the world's sake. In real life maybe God decides who live and who died, and in FF it's the director who decides =)))). But that's what I love about FF, fictional by very realistic. If Zack did not die, if he abandoned Cloud to get back to the girl in Pink, he would be a coward, not a hero. I kinda believe Zack know what he was doing, and to award him with that, he was able to join Aerith. And even better, as Bugenhagen said, life or death doesn't really matter, as long as the lifestream continues to flow. Zack may not be in the same world as Cloud anymore, but I know for sure he is happy. For me the lifestream plays a really important role in the game, cuz without it, would would not be able to ease the death of those we love, and that would turn FF7 into a disaster rather than a masterpiece. Thanks whoever invented Lifestream =)))).

Well, I have to replay Crisis Core now. One of my favorite games of all time. I tend to remember games that get an emotional response out of me more than others, and Crisis Core has at least 2 moments that consistently make me cry. Such a great game.

Maybe a little out of place, but I just want to say thank you. My best friend committed suicide last night and I have never lost someone this close to me before. I have so many thoughts floating in my head and I just can't seem to cheer up. I thought maybe hearing some mellow music might make me feel better and I remembered the crisis core soundtrack. Hearing this song kind of eases me just a little bit and I think it's because of how passionate your emotions were put into it. Thank you so so much.

Lol, he didnt get the recognition he deserved. He was proud but forgotten, hope that the ff7 remake has some easter eggs for his story.
