- 3 easy nail art designs (that are great for beginners) and made with a dotting tool! A gradient, an ombre and some dotted lace. Dotters are the most basic of nail art tools and easily found on Ebay, Amazon and BornPrettyStore. However if you don’t have one then try using a dried up pen, pencil, toothpick, the end of a paintbrush or chopstick. You can also push a pin with a round plastic end into a pencil and use that.

These are beautiful!! I love the monochrome one and since fall is coming, wearing black as a base is a little more in place and not out of place. I love acrylic paint for anything to do with nail art. There is nothing worse than nail polish becoming tacky right when you are doing a design and the little string of polish comes out and you can't do anything about it.
Jessica Angela I originally tried doing the monochrome with polishes and that's exactly what happened! It got super tacky, so annoying...thank goodness for acrylic paints :)
I know right! Acrylic paints are the best. They dry to a super thin layer too! I just did the monochrome one and it came out really nice. I wish I had used a bigger dotting tool but I stil love it!

LYNNSTER1971 Hmmm....I would also flip the colours of the gradient, so that the first dot was black, then fading to white at the edge :)
