not really. In a ladder system efficient conceding can significantly increase your climbing speed.
But you have to have loads of game knowledge in order to make that decision wisely.
Most people don't.

Why are you still playing bloodbloom? You can't play it on a normal turn because it would reveal your bluff and there's no reason to play it for the combo because you don't play the combo
You can still play bloodbloom and emote excessively incase your opponent isn't convinced yet
Or in the rare case you burn a card that happened to be bloodbloom. Which can suggest you're playing mechathun warlock when In fact, you're playing a mechathunless mechathun warlock

Got to rank 18 for the first time in my life yesterday, finally had enough dust to craft zuljin so I made a modified spell hunter, I traded out rexxar and the two to my sides for multishots and a call the hounds, it got me to rank 18 so I am more than happy!

Hold on, I had an idea, what if you put mecha'thun in fraud mecha'thun warlock? That way, if your opponent calls your bluff, you slam your mecha'thun down, and they're like "Ah, he got me" and then they concede.

At 2:46 toast didn't realized that he played the reduced cost zilliax from the galvanizers battlecry and it would mess up his combo if the opponent noticed it,but it's not and also why did he played zihi yet it doesn't even stop the combo.

I was trying this in wild with my Non Mecha’thun Cthun Druid deck. No one fell for it despite getting to the win position 5-6 times.
Good way to practice really, playing weird decks, like various all spell or no spell decks, especially for people like me who are extremely rusty. I know I haven't done a quest in 2weeks 😂 I like the way Toast does alot of theorycrafting, even if the goal is to glitch the game!

Low Budget Version
plus you don't have to play 2 dead cards. Mecha and Cataclysm make absolutly nothing until the last turn. The turn fraud mech wins with ANY 2 random cards pretending to be Mecha and Cata.
This version has more useful cards which should result in getting through your whole deck more often than the normal version

If taking out Mecha and Cata makes the deck better, he should also get rid of bloodbloom. It's completely useless without the combo because if you play it you won't be able to bluff.
at 2 hp you should have played the manari and the blood bloom to blow his mind

DisguisedToast in 2019: Teaching all Hearthstone players to never concede and always play like normal when you think your opponent is playing a Mecha'Thun or other combo deck.

Toast, why are you playing blood bloom? If you had milled blood bloom, he won't concede at the end. Isn't it better to swap blood bloom out in case it gets milled?
