3:25 Toast: I have 2 Psychic Screams, a spellstone, a shadow essence-!
Me: You also have 2 Shields, 2 Mind Blasts, a Spirit Lash, a Death, and a Vivid Nightmare to go along with that Shadow Vision you pulled
2 Shields + 2 Mind Blasts + 1 Visions + 1 Lash + 1 Death + 1 Nightmare = 8.
Whereas (all the spells that could've prevented the joust win)
1 Servitude + 1 Dispel + 2 Hysteria + 1 Essence + 1 Spellstone + 2 Screams + 1 Cloning Gallery = 9
So the odds of preventing the joust win was about 5.8% more than losing the joust (Toast perspective). I give you the right to shame me if my math is wrong.
TL;DR Toast is a little unlucky. Not Kripp unlucky since the chances aren't very far apart, just a little unlucky.
Also he could have « forgot » to heal the velen and pulled à Malygos but instead he made it impossible for the mage to kill it. I see two options 1 he did it on purpose 2 he had no neurons left at the end of the day.
fanteezy you have to also work the chances of the Mage pulling exactly the polymorph into the equation, mind that is a bit more difficult since we didn’t know his exact deck.
@@posthumorouz4675 Yeah that makes the math more tedious. For the deck, we can assume it contains all the spells from a generic list (along the lines of Poly, Dragon's Fury, Flamestrike, etc.). My comment was based solely off of the fact that the Mage pulled Poly though, so I didn't really take the other spells into account.
@@jijiooze The point is that it is a coin flip. Slightly weighted but still a coin flip. In the last turn there was 25% chance to just lose the game (maybe more if servitude accounts for number of dead minions of each type)' but he didn't said a word about his luck. It is not healthy to look at Hearthstone like this (taking winning coin flips etc. as default and raging about the bad results). You will tilt extremly easily if you do that.

In his last turn vivid on Malygos was correct. He wouldn't have lethal with vivid on radiant, and the vivid on Maly made him have a higher chance of resurrecting Malygos thus leading him to victory!

5:30 even you've drawn all your minions it's still worth casting zereks to FINALLY get a maly into the death pool. He already used his poly's and he'd almost certainly ping it for free elemental, but itd still let you do your combo next turn
No point doing the combo when it's not going to kill him, especially if he has 2 water eles to heal up with
It's not for the combo. It's to get a maly into the death pool. He did nothing on the turn instead. Then wound up using a different spell to do the same thing 4 turns later by making a 5/5 maly and killing it with spirit lash to kill it and heal himself. He wound up eventually doing what I wanted. He just did it using a different spell. 4 turns later. Thereby pushing back lethal 4 turns.
@@Imkaje He didn't do "nothing" - he chipped away at the armor. With only malygos + radiant in the death pool, he can do a maximum of 27 damage in one turn. If he didn't spend time on chipping away at the opponent's health, they'd never die.
The shadow essence + spirit lash play ensures that Malygos will die AND costs less mana AND heals him to full AND clears the enemy board. Cloning gallery is 9 mana to give your enemy a water elemental. It is infinitely worse and entirely different from what he ended up doing.
Your whole point in your first post is that he should have done it because "it'd let you do your combo next turn", but that makes no sense since he wouldn't want to do a combo from that position anyway. It wouldn't be lethal and it wouldn't put him in a winning position.
He pinged 2 armor with 6 lifesteal on the board...... He did what I suggested. He just could have done it 4 turns earlier to attempt the combo.
Zereks doesn't take maly out of his deck. He could still 5/5 maly clear. You seem to think they're mutually exclusive. Like he can't do both. He had 2 sheep in his death pool. Heaven forbid he have two malys in and increase his chances of pulling the combo off. There's no way that doubling your chances to win isn't the correct play
Can you play OTK Boar Shaman, play them on either side of Zentimo, buff them with attack and windfury then kill
I beat a Kelly sham in arena THAT ACTUALLY WHENT OFF ON TURN 2 with a basic elemental mage deck with only blizzard as board clear. Das beating the odds.

I dont think so. This version is weak against aggro. Also, if you get hexed or polymorphed you will probably lose. The other version has more ways to survive and beat other decks even if you lose 1 or 2 pieces of the combo, because you can put lot of pressure on the field on mid and late game

Toast, in my otk priest deck, I use Lich King instead of Zilliax, is that ok?
Zilliax is an essencial card to stay alive against aggro machups. There is much utility with him with the priest spells. Lich king is pure RNG if he gives you a good card to stay alive.

@@vladys001 Lifesteal turns all damage dealt into health for a hero. Divine shields prevent any damage from being dealt.

@@rahulgill4734 He could have played the spellstone, which would have gave him 4 *different* minions (Radiant Elemental, Sheep, Malygos and Zilliax). With 3 mana left he could have played vivid nightmare (costs 2 because of Radiant) on the Malygos, then Mindblast (1 Mana, and 5+5+5 damage) and Holy Smite (0 Mana and 2+5+5 damage) for a total of 27 damage. I can't blame toast, didn't see it either. :D

The rng is complete bullshit sometimes. I played against a priest with a lot of healing and high level minions and my sulfurus hit face four turns in a row which he healed each time while his minions hit me

This deck is so bs he literally tried his best to win the game by suffle more valuable cards still couldnt play around like 30 damage, not even a pure otk combo. Really hope they rotate malygos. Such a bs card

@@Nightfalcon-ik6im i hate that its not fair! They wanted to nerf freeze mage since combo decks was so strong now all decks on ladder are either aggro or otk decks. Even then aggro decks manage to push 30 damage in a turn its insane
