Upgrading PHPMyAdmin is a good option. However you really don't need to. There is a line of code you need to change in the PHPMyAdmin. Just search for the error in google and you will get the solution. I forgot the file name which needs to change. If you paste the error here, I can help.

@@stanzinotzer2162 Since PhpMyAdmin is working with new PHP 7 version, so your connection with database is fine. Please check if the proper extensions (mysqli or PDO) are used in your code.
Check the folder C:\wamp\bin\php .. how many php directory is there? there is no harm keeping multiple PHP version, just change the wampmanager.conf file to default the version you want to use.

Please check the video and the blog once more. there should not be any spelling mistake of the php 7 directory. Check once, it should work after you restart WAMP server.
Did you close WAMP and restart? just restarting all services wont help ... also check any space or capital/small letter problem in directory or filenames .. ideally following the steps correctly should work .. recheck if you did any mistake
Just upgrade your PHPMyAdmin it will resolve the issue or else you need to open the PHPMyAdmin php files as per the error log and modify the code one by one (not recommended)

Please check the PHP.ini file if the mysqli extension is enabled there. You may search stackoverflow for the issue.

You need to select the PHP version in WAMP as shown or you need to change the default PHP version.

Orange means something wrong ..some of the services did not start .. check WAMP log to figure out what's the problem.
when i use wamp it shows this

Please check the log for more details .. does the WAMP icon turns to green?

if i select my old V 5.6.25 then run perfectly but
i select 7.1.18 (Done it now) and run phpmyadmin then get above error

problem is solved, but i also added full path of extension directory in php.ini file which resolved problem
