I'm kind of looking for an answer on encaustic gesso I'm using encaustic gessothe minute the heat seems to be hitting it it's bubbling up on me as making a messwhat I do is I let it dry thoroughly and then I put my first layer of beeswax whenever I want for beeswax of course it may not cover the whole board and wherever it doesn't cover or if I hit it too long the encaustic gesso just bubbles up on me and makes a mess
Hi, Shari! I'm a big fan of yours! I am really inspired by this piece!!!! So, to make the gelli imprint more subtle, why not just roll it with the white as you have done as a first step...then lay THAT down over what you have already laid down...instead of wiping it all off? Just a thought... Ultimately, you ended up with a gorgeous piece and also taught us a lot in the process! Big hug, cat
That was very cool!!!!!
I love this look. Will have to try it. I’ve only used clear encaustic with pan pastels
