He needs to get passed Islam first. We can all sit here and act like Islam “hasn’t proven himself” yet but the reality is he’s the same caliber level fighter Khabib was and when you hear the gym/sparring stories about Islam and what he does to world class level wrestlers and fighters you’ll know why he’s a serious threat to that 155 division. Either Charles will be DC to Islams Jon Jones or vice versa Oct.22 we find out but a win over Charles this early in his career would basically be a win over that entire division and everyone’s fucked lol

This Charles is levels above what he use to be 2 or 3 yrs ago. He has developed some of the best stand up in the lightweight div and also has KO power in both hands. He's the complete fighter now. Islam doesn't want anything to do with Charles standing up and Charles will capitalize that and finish the fight by crushing Islams will. • @FuShengAlex

@@netopierro10 he had a lot of trouble fluctuating between 145 & 55 in the past.
Even if he was stronger in his 20s....it's his standup to hurt guys that he wasn't so good at. Chute Boxe fixed that issue.
He couldn't pressure guys on the feet like now. He had to rely on getting ahold of guys and transitioning quickly to a sub. It often worked (Will Brooks, Myles Jury, Hioki etc) and when he couldnt close the deal he'd gas and fade where other times it didn't work (Lamas, Pettis, Felder).
Now his standup is just as lethal as his BJJ. If he rocks you on the feet.....you're as good as dead now with how quickly he can transition to a sub.
