Just because purposeful politicians and media tell you not to like this country, you just follow their ideas. In my opinion, this is not a basic democratic literacy. I have always told myself that if I want to know a country, I must go to see it, so I decided to buy a plane ticket to China in the next spring. It happens that China has implemented a visa-free policy for my country, and I am very happy.

Most people learn China from western media and most of them are biased against China. Glad that you visit China and see China for yourself. By the way, the architecture at Wai-Tan was influenced by the West because China was invaded by foreign allied forces in the late 19th century and some of them had concessions in Shanghai (GB, France, USA and Japan).

      Another fail
This guilt baiting propaganda doesn't work. This is why you see no foreigns in these videos.
It's insulting when you see a government openly say negative things about your country and ppl. It can be seen with the old propaganda, (why China is better then America, India, Africa)
So these are the new ones, they pay these ppl to advertise the"100 whatever visa free entry days", because ppl are tired of these vlogers disparaging countries, they changed their tune a little, but of course nothing is ever wrong in China🙄. If you notice they all say the same thing, come to China, wow the train/Meg lev, China builds building so fast, EV bikes look, I can breath OK (who says that about a country), it's so quite here in the city with all these EV cars, I feel so safe here, even that same store that was busy is in other videos, one store! ... isn't that cool too😂.
BTW this app he advertising doesn't work in China, it's not Chinese, another TH-camr like him failed to do it and had to buy a local card, taking his picture, copy of passport and fingerprints for him to get data. He also said the exact same things and went there the same time. They think we are dumb and can't put 2 and 2 together.
This guy will only show you what he's allowed to show. Will he go anywhere like a side ally a poor neighbourhood nope. Just watch the many more videos come out just like this one😂😂😂

The Fuxing series bullet train travels faster than that at 350km/h, which is max speed for now in the world. What French & US wars crimes did to Vietnam is INHUMAN.
They did build fews infrastructure here just for them to used not for locals or help others people!!
100Y ago they’re not seeing Vietnamese or Asian is human, same equal humans as them. Remember that.
If Western style house was build here it for Western officers & employees workers used. Not for locals!!
And compare to their wars crimes of what they did, build fews builds, roads, bridges means nothing.
And it use to build by locals blood & lives.
It really annoys me when some WESTERN KEEP TRYING TO RECALL THE CITY IS BEAUTIFUL BECAUSE THEIR COLONIAL BUILD IT!! Stop spreading liars.
While the truth is not like that, they not build anything!!
They’re build fews builds & center district downtown roads, outside place where they’re lived is all muddy & muddy!!
These cities is become beautiful & MARVELOUS LIKE THIS IT ALL DONE BY CHINESE GORVEMENT & CHINESE PEOPLE BUILD BY THEMSELVES IN THEIR INDEPENDENT TIMES TILL NOW!!
Not Western & not colonial build it.

@@HauTran-sunfromsouth I am happy that China has been able to raise a lot of people out of poverty, and greatly improved their infrastructures. They are also mass polluters and support warmonger countries like North Korea and Russia, both of which China supports economically despite sanctions. I am happy that quality of life has improved for Chinese people, but I cannot get over the fact that China has a bad reputation in international affairs, and being a westerner myself, I will care about my quality of life in the EU, not that of the Chinese people. 18:10 Yes, the buildings are in different styles of architecture there because Shanghai was occupied by different colonial forces (like UK, US, Russia, Japan, and France) from the end of the 19th century till after Japan surrendered in World War II. So the historical buildings in Shanghai was either built by each different occupying forces or influenced by them. I am not sure if you've been to the Bund (where you were at 18:10) during the night. If not, I highly suggest you go again in the evening if you ever visit Shanghai again. To be honest, most modern cities in China look a lot more beautiful at night thanks to the LEDs.

China has been making big strides to improve air pollution in cities and at the same time make the switch to renewables. The first time I visited China over 10 years ago, pollution was a issue in many major cities. These days there are very few days where the pollution is as bad as it use to be in large cities like Beijing. They've built and put in place in a massive amount of infrastructure for electric vehicles to make it easier for people to switch from fossil fuel vehicles to electric. I really like visiting China, and will probably move there with my wife before we retire, she's been living in the UK for awhile now and so it's only fair I live in her home country next.

What You saw is the people hire some photographers taking pictures at pupolar spot of Shanghai. Shanghai always the most popular destinations for domestic tourists. They could feel like in European..
Shanghai has a lot European building because in the history Shanghai was very morden openmind city. Among the bund area were the Bank Street back 1930. Many Shanghai people back then speak influences English work for west company. Like my Gradefather was worked for Citi bank when he was young. And their life style is very west like. Wear suits drink coffee. Go to club. Breakfast with bread and butter. Resutrant offer ox tail soup. Salad. And various dessert. That time Shanghai have their own soda brand established.
After October Russia revolution. A lot Ruissa old royalty came to Shanghai. Also A lot Jewish living in 虹口area They live in Shanghai until WII finished. Also Germen area. French area. Japanese area. Back then This city be shared like pieces of pacake by different countries. The China self also be treated like that. It's a shame dark time of China. But bring different culture.

18:20, During the 19th and 20th centuries, China refused to open up it's borders for trade with western countries and corporations until internal conflict and a bunch of other factors led to certain European countries establishing "spheres of influence" in Chinese cities where they could conduct and control trade. cities like qingdao were under a german sphere of influence (tsingtao beer)whereas cities like shanghai were under British and partly french influence. This eventually led to some Chinese cities adopting architectural styles from this influence. that's abt all i remember from my American ap world history class on this topic lol
