Digital instructions defeat the purpose of lego as an analogue toy. Every time they try to make digital an essential part of theme, it fails. Vidiyo, Hidden Side, etc. I wonder what statistics they have (sets sold vs number of people using the digital instructions).
Probably low user retention since Hidden Side discontinued its app merely 2 years after release. VIDIYO is dead, I don't even think the app connects to their servers anymore.

By not offering printed instructions anymore, LEGO will seemingly shoot itself in the foot.
