I just wish my headphones could go louder. Saw these guys in 2000, this album and the ppl involved was the best version of Saves The Day imo. This album is incredible, front to back...
The part that starts at ginger ale..so genius. It perfectly encapsulates the feeling of excited nervousness as you approach someone for the first time. At 2:00 he's walking over. The backing guitars playing that melody that you can barely hear add to the drama. Then his guts fall to the floor 2:18 and then the comfort of half time when it turns out she's cool and they start having a conversation. Beautiful.
Yes 🤘, well Chris Conley forever. Sad he hasn't put anything new out last time I saw them play I got to meet Chris at a tiny dive bar. He is as short and awkward as he appears with all the pimple scars on his face, we took some shots of Wild Turkey Whiskey, then he played all of his acoustic songs and it was amazing 200 people singing along 😃 sooo good.
Anyone else mistake "slipping off tree's leaves splattering to the ground" for "slipping oak trees leaves, spiraling to the ground"? That's my misheard lyric, anyway.
I think that album is awesome but that is total punk man, I feel saves the day was ahead of their time in the sence that they influenced all the 2000s hot topic emo/post hardcore bands and not the punk scene. Bro listen to Silverstein ‘Smashed into pieces’ and you’ll notice how some of the songs off of Through being cool were just one some other shit
@@bludbruvbeats2104 fuck I wish we never had Fallout Boy or Paramore... Music started getting to commercial with that, as soon as MTV hypes it, it's over, at least my opinion...now we have shit like MGK
About 20 or so years too late. Just kidding. Yeah man Idk if your serious or joking but if you like this then check out The Get Up kids album called Four minute mile. And you would like the song Flying at tree level by brand new. Check that one out for.sure As well as Brand news older stuff. Get up kids and Old Brand New songs. Why? You ever hear of Lifetime? listen to their album "Jersey's best dancer's", that's where Chris or Saves the Day got their sound.

Who knows man, without songs like banned from backporch would we even have Fallout boy and Paramore and a lot of other scene music?
