    I must have said wow a dozen times watching Anthony’s interview. Losing 500 pounds is just phenomenal! I never knew a body could leak water. It made me think of a water balloon. It was a revelation to me that just being overweight could make a person lose their memory! Dearest Anthony you are not old! 42 is young. You have so many years ahead of you to be with your children. What a wonderful dad. You are going to help so many people. We have a lot of autism in my family so I’m happy to hear about your son improving. Yay Anthony!!!

      You underestimate the cognitive dissonance doctors have.
      This woman in her mid 70s at the independent retirement home I worked at briefly went strict carnivore after I gave her Dr. Fung's book after she was crying in the dining room after dinner one day. We were independent living and her kids were talking about moving her to assisted living because she could BARELY get out of the dining room chairs. It took her 30 minutes to walk 150 feet from the table she sat at to her apartment door. She needed oxygen therapy, had to wear diapers and was over weight.
      Only a month into the duet she was going to BOTH the early bird (5am) and after lunch exercise classes. She started walking laps around the building, weened herself off oxygen, insulin, blood pressure medications, regained urinary and bowel control.
      Her family originally tried to get me fired for giving her the book. It's been 6 years since her conversion. She walks a 10 mile round trip to church twice a week. She walks to the gym every day to lift weights and buys her steaks on the walk home. Even her bone density has improved dramatically.
      Her doctor has watched this ENTIRE transformation from being on a dozen medications and her family actively looking for an assisted living facility to take care of her to now playing with and chasing her grandchildren in the garden at the retirement home. She literally ran a 5k charity run last year.... Despite watching this transformation "that's all well and good bit all that saturated fat is going to give you a heart attack!"😅

    From 13-14 medications a day to just (a reduced dose) blood pressure meds! This speaks volumes for what this diet can do for you. Every healthcare insurance should support and encourage doctors to be educating patients to this way of eating. The suffering that these patients go through is a crime! I wish more doctors and institutions would get behind this way of eating, as I believe most people that wanted to become a doctor/surgeon/nurse/ nutritionist, truly wanted to help people. But in so many way, their hands become tied by the FDA and big Pharma (who alter all the studies/statistics) then dictate all the “suggested forms” of treatment and meds $$$$😡

    My husband's edema was three things
    Low protein, arginine deficiency, and a bad ratio of omega 6-3 fatty acids.
    He stopped all seed oils ate a lot of butter and supplemented arginine.
    After 2&1/2 weeks he started to lose the water weight.
    In 3 weeks he lost 51#.
    That was last year but after about 6 months he started to slack off and sneak fast and processed foods.
    He again got edema and his kidney function tanked and he was hospitalized and is on dialysis.
    He is improving again but still eating carbs
    Good news is he is avoiding seed oils again and now eating much more meat.
    He has learned he can never eat seed oils
    Still eating some grains unfortunately but he is not my child he is my husband.
    It takes something like 5 years they think for the body to get rid of seed oils.
    I am ever hopeful he will join me in carnivore someday, but not yet I guess.
    Thank you for this interview.

    Dave, my journey started only 2 weeks ago and it's been rough. I have no support system, my wife is so against it that she refuses to even watch a single pro-carnivore video. I think a big component to a successful diet change is support. I have already lost 4lbs (I'm 5'9" 209Lbs right now). Hopefully she will take notice of my increased energy and weight loss at some point - then, maybe, she'll think twice before defaulting to her SAD diet.

    • @zerocarb
      @zerocarb  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Nice work! Keep it up! 🥩💪 Hopefully your wife will slowly but surely see the changes in you and develop interest in carnivore - in my experience it's probably best to agree to disagree and avoid discussion about diet in the short term, I'm sure she'll come around, maybe not to go on carnivore but at least to be supportive of your decision.

    • @etchieSketchie
      @etchieSketchie 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      @@zerocarb Yeah I have been keeping it to myself, if she knew I was eating only meat she'd probably flip out. In my mind, the "major win" right now is convincing her it's not gonna kill me. So I'm going to let carnivore do its magic and tell her AFTER I've lost at least 15lbs. I enjoy your content, THANK YOU DAVE!

      Hello, fellow carnivore! I was married to a covert narcissist for almost 18 years and didn't know it until after the 10 year mark and even then, I had to do the research because I didn't know what a covert narc was until I educated myself. The reason I say this is because, it seems like maybe you may be married to one? No spouse should be so unsupportive that she won't even listen to what her partner has discovered and are attempting to do?! Like you say, a big component for change, is support and if you don't have this, things will be that much more difficult and why?! IF she's a covert narc, she doesn't want you with more energy or in better shape. Narcs want their partners beneath them in order to control them.

    Anthony, so glad you found carnivore. So many things are a metabolic disease or one can say carnivore helps heal many things metabolically. Sounds like 1. The doctors were not listening to you 2. The doctors did not know how to fix you. Sending love and prayers.

    So great that his kids have also benefited from carnivore, either directly or indirectly. Kids on the autism spectrum often suffer from anxiety. Carnivore will help with that.

Bill has a You Tube channel, you should check it out, he is inspiring and would most likely be inspired by you. Good luck Anthony ❤

    Anthony, may I suggest that you take photographs of your large clothes, wheelchair, etc?
    That way, you don’t have to physically keep them in your space, but you will never lose the images which help tell your story so well and will mean so much to many many many other people.

      When I first started this, I refused to take pictures. There are pictures of me that my family took, without my knowing. Im glad that they did. when I get to the finish line I will do something like that. In my head I still see myself as 713 lbs, even though I weigh what I do now. I think that I will have to seek some counseling for this problem tho before I consider doing anything like that.

  • @hortensemason4073

    You could not have gained that much weight that quickly with diet calories.. had to have a metabolic disorder.. Your weight gain was obviously a lipedema or lymphadema, but your weight was not all that great to trigger it. TH-cam interview recently with someone specializing in both reported a professional conference on these two topics to her pleasant surprise mentioned carnivore and ketogenic diets as a treatment. Dr. Seyfried wrote a book on cancer as a metabolic disease, promotes carnivore.

    • @Anthony-ne1ne
      @Anthony-ne1ne 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I remember when all of this first started, I would have to manually stimulate my lymph nodes throughout my body, the more water that my body retained and the more that I kept on eating the same calories that I did when I was active obviously did not help and contributed to the overall fact of my demise. I have excepted the fact that I will probably never find out exactly what the problem was in the first place and the why? and to be honest, I do not even care anymore. I am more concerned with the present and the future and where my feet lye. As long as I continue to make consistent right choices and do not have unobtainable goals I think that I will be fine. I am literally shocking doctors and what is said to be impossible I am doing.
