  • The Reate Exo gravity/manual OTF. Another special knife. I generally like unique things. I had to make a couple of bad cuts in the video (video editing) because I m not 100% sure how I would rate this knife and have to give a mixed review.

Nice knife. Never saw open gravity otf like this!
The only familiar knife I saw was a spring loaded otf “Trap door”.

It’s quite expensive, but very interesting piece of metal. Maybe one day I’ll get one 😉

Hello gentlemen, do you still own this knife? I’ve seen they made a “lock” version of it, and old design is gone and unavailable to buy.

I like your channel and I don't mean to put you down by any means but I have an advice for you: speak in your country language and hardcode english subtitles on each video. I know its a lot of work and your english isn't that bad but I think that way you will get a lot more subs. I have a knife channel myself. Not this channel I am using. Another one I wish to remain anonymous because I don't want people to know I am the same person. I have made several videos in english but I got very few subs from english speakers and I heard numerous times people talking shit about my english. If I could do all again I would hardcode english subtitles. They use in movies for more than 100 years and it works.

Is it legal in the EU?

It depends a bit on the country. In some countries its not allowed to own a gravity knife. I think in germany you are not allowed to own it. Germany is pretty hard in terms of knife law. In austria I think every knife is allowed and I think you could generally also carry auto knives or ballisong or gravity knives. I m in Switzerland. In this country most knives are allowed to own and generally also to carry. You are not allowed to have automatic knives or ballisongs in Switzerland but gravity knives are generally not considered to be weapons. But the law is not really precise and the judges have much power of interpretation. So its maybe better to not show a knife in public other then a swiss made knife and you dont see many people carry knives. But in terms of law there is no clear written problem to carry a knife. Its just not normal to see knives at peoples belt here and the police and judges have much power to call something illegal without a legal basis.

Does that still come in Cracker Jax?

Cracker Jax🤔. If you mean the antique shop Cracker Jax DeKalb, Illinois then I guess its not old enough and I dont know if they sell some sort of knife. But if you mean that american popcorn brand where they did put some toy as an accessory then I m pretty sure I have to dissapoint you because the correct answer would be "no" I guess🤷🏻‍♂️

@@hardusehobby Well, if it does not.....it ought to.

@@wendellworth353 Hm yeah maybe they could do that if they did use very cheap materials instead of titanium and elmax. Would be nice. I mean I would love such gadgets in a popcorn box even if they are not the most usefull tools

can gravity knives work in space?

    • @hardusehobby
      @hardusehobby  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Weird question🤔 Are you planning to leave our planet?
I guess yeah I mean it depends on how you define"works" what your expectations would be in space and what you are doing in space when your knife should work. Generally speaking I guess it would work there in all scenarios sufficiently as a two hand opener by pulling the blade out with your fingers since they say gravity would be different in space then on our planet.
From what I ve heard a knife with lanyard hole is better in space so your knife doesnt get lost just as a tip🤷🏻‍♂️

Well the gravity knife in reality should be called accelerator knife rather than gravity knife since you can also unsheathe the knife by using centrifugal force or just by doing a jerking motion so if you even are in space you would still be able to unsheathe the knife.

With a move of our hand you will build a momentum, and a knife will be deployed (it should).

No worries this is a chinese production knife from Reate so it should be available again soon. Its not like a demko custom or some Microtech socom that is never available. I got it from Lamnia. It was available for 2 weeks there. Just check out Lamnia, smkw, whitemountainknives, bladehq, knifecenter from time to time or let them notify you when its available per email👍
