Yeah it’s power is “stillness” so it essentially just froze his illness rather than curing it. Still I think it was the better arm to get. If Ukitake got the Left arm instead… I wonder if he would even be Ukitake anymore

Yeah, because of the power of Stillness. He survives because his sickness doesn't get worse. Doesn't get better. And even a highly skilled kaido user like Unohana couldn't have done anything because it's a permanent state. Can't be healed, can't be worsen.
Shunsui could already see that aizen had freed his left eye and ankles. He picked those keys since he knew it'd be redundant, he then asks him how it feels to have his ankles and left eye freed sarcastically. This also explains aizens comment right after, saying that Shunsui hasn't changed.
Chad did more in this one episode than the entirety of the manga version of this arc lol. They really dud ukitake justice with this episode and seeing them really focus on yhwach not being able to see mimihagi in any future even yoruichi notices it. This episode had so much that i lost track of time and didnt realize 25 mins had passed until the ending started playing.
Something I love about Shunsui is how he's a very kind and honorable man, but won't let honor get in the way of him doing what needs to be done against an opponent, even if it means fighting slightly dirty to do so. Like when he used his hat to try and end Stark with a blind sneak attack, or him continuing his attack against Ukitake who is coughing up blood. And even now recruiting the Soul Society's greatest betrayer.
I love the parrallel between Ukitake and the soul king here. Ukitake survived because Mimihagi's power of stillness halted the progress of his disease, essentially freezing it in it's current state so thet it never advanced. And now Ukitake is using that same power on the soul king, freezing the soul king's death process so that it doesn't advance any further, thus keeping him alive. Also, the phrase "is this guy a leg?" is one of the funniest things to say out of context 😁

24:18 Having Aizen be a mirage would be way too roundabout. Aizen unlocked the seals by himself once Kyoraku unlocked his mouth. Remember that he got stronger in Muken likely due to the Hogyoku still being within him. For Kyoraku, he sees Aizen has freed himself and is shocked but plays it cool. He dismisses Aizen's taunt playfully and unlocks the keys even if they don't do anything anymore. Hence why Aizen comments Kyoraku('s playful nature) hasn't changed.
My understanding of Ukitake's illness was that Mimihagi kept it still, and unchanging. So the illness remains, but he won't die from it. So it's constant and still.
Bro, you're the first reactor I go to after a new TYBW episode. Top tier analysis and insight every time. The scene with Jushiro's parents crying over him got me too 😢 Heartbreaking
@@prxnceanime6335 I'm not talking about that dialogue but the reason why Aizen had already half face free and his ankles too before Kyoraku used the keys.
They made me shed a tear for Ukitake's death. How dare you freaking awesome show😢 The whole Ukitake flashback was amazing. So glad we got to see all that.
I think Rukia had a LT badge in the Lost Agent (Fullbringer) arc when she came with the other Captains/LTs I love the parallels of Ukitake's resolve with Unohana's resolve. She died with utter content knowing she was dying for her true purpose, and here we have Ukitake doing essentially the same and they both used similar lines to express their contentness to their duty. the 2 types of battle, one to protect life, and one to protect honor, and we see Ukitake being honored to give his life (to protect the lives of others) and Kyoraku throwing away honor to protect the lives of others. Also Yhwach seemed a bit surprised when Orihime used her powers to heal Ichigo in the previous episode sooo MAYBE there's something there. She might not be able to heal him due to her power being a lesser power derived from him (Hogyoku/fullbringer stuff) he might not be able to full use his Almighty vs her and maybe even other fullbringers
Yeah, I know def that Rukia became lt in timeskip. But before? I am unsure. I always assumed the two just bickered about who could wear the badge. but in hindsight that makes no sense xD
@@storieswithstyle Kiyone and Sentaro were both ranked as 3rd Seat. So although there was no Lieutenant for the 13th Division, there was two 3rd seats instead until Rukia was promoted in the timeskip.
Hogyoku is like infinity stone Power stone or Space stone. It keeps giving energy. He kept recovering his spiritual pressure which he lost because of 'Mugetsu' attack. He has become very strong again while he was sealed.
@@storieswithstyle his spiritual pressure was decreased after mugetsu and it could have started recovering quickly if he was not feeling insecure or demotivated. That is why Urahara's seal was able to work on Aizen. But he got rid of his negative emotions later on while he was sealed and he recovered while he was sealed. I guess this time I explained better than previous time.
The Aizen scene is meant to be like that. You're not meant to know how he freed himself because he's "beyond the logic of this world". Post Hogyoku, he kills the Cleaner, which is meant to be unaffected by spiritual pressure and just about anything, and he does it specifically with spiritual pressure. Even Gin's like "what the fuck??". And this version of Aizen is infinitely stronger than even that one, so much so that he very likely surpassed Dangai Ichigo. So the way he frees himself is through "unknown means", which is funny given Urahara's description for the special war potentials. But I imagine even the restraints created from infinity and using Mayuri/Urahara's insane tech are just barely keeping him locked down at all times. Which is why they didn't even try to seal his SP, only keep it close to him and punctured it to weaken it as much as they could. And why they likely simply "fell off" him when Shunsui loosened just one. One day in the future, Aizen will probably just walk out of the Muken like "what's up guys?" and no one will know how he freed himself. If i had to guess, it'll happen in the Hell arc if that becomes a whole arrancar arc/SS arc length thing. Also, fun little detail, I think when Aizen challenged Mayuri to a reiatsu-tech battle, Nanana HAD to intervene there, basically Kubo telling us that. If Aizen's SP wasn't weakened right there, he likely would have broken all his seals and brought the Soul Palace down, killing the majority of people. I think he's still quite nerfed against Yhwach basically, due to the restraints not letting him recover properly and still being on him (the chair was just there so he couldn't move as he pleased)
24:17 The way i see it is thats kyoka suegetsu... Kyoraku's surprise is from the fact that aizen can use kyoka even when sealed So i guess now that he has fused with kyoka suegetsu, anyone who sees a part of his body, he can put them in kyoka

When comes to seeing techniques he doesn’t have to see it in the present it’s when he looks into the future which is almost passive when the almighty is on that he can nullify all powers if he wants to
Even in the manga Yhwach said that he couldn't forsee Mimihagi. In fact, he knew instantly that it was the Reio left arm, since it is the only thing that his eyes can see. In the anime they also said that in ep 24. Ichibei stated that Yhwach cannot see through the Soul King. This could be because Adnyeus has the Almighty too (to be precise, even a stronger version) or simply because he is so strong that transcends even Yhwach Almighity. I think that Ukitake illness wasn't healed because Mimihagi represents stillness, so he did not heal him, but simoly stopped the ill from getting worse. As for the reason why he choose Ukitake we've got no clue, it could just a casualty. However I have my own theory: Adnyeus could see everything in the future the three worlds, even before their creation. Like Yhwach said in ep 27, he probably foresaw even the Quincy invading the Royal Palace leading to his own death. So I like to think that Adnyeus (so Mimihagi too) knew that Ukitake would be the key to prevent the realms from collapsing, until Ichibei uses Yhwach as the new keystone, and that's why he choose him. But this is just my theory. Also, a little detail, Yhwach said that the Dangai too would collapse without the Soul King, and as far as I remember this is the first time it was said. This is an imporant information, this mean that the Dangai too is connected to the Reio, even though it exist outside the standard fabric of time of the other realms. But now we know that even it is linked to the Soul King. It's like they want to make clear that only thing in the universe that exists indipendentely even from the Reio is Hell.
16:25 "Uryu had one eye in his volsdanging thing". Not sure if it's important but since we talk about eyes and stuff like that, I remember that in japanese a common nickname/slur for people wearing glasses is "four eyes". Might come in, might not :D
That's Actually Aizen there. He was trolling when he said he Shunsui two more keys to use, and Shunsui counter-trolled by using the two keys on the parts Aizen already could use. lol
My understanding of Aizen's situation is that Kyoraku saw Kyoka Suigetsu's illusion of Aizen's body, but it was still necessary to unseal him with 3 keys, after which he just arrived in the same place, where his illusion stood, so his disintegrating aura became real. Also, Aizen actually de-evolved after Mugetsu, so the seal was able to work, but being in Muken he just reevolved back and probably even more considering he still has Hogyoku.
I think the ichigo soul king thing comes from during the trail, ichigo for brief moments developed 4 pupils, exactly like the soul kings, vs ywach who only has 3, implying that ichigo is closer in potential to the soul king than even ywach
Pretty sure the Aizen effect is Kyouka Suigetsu. When Kyouaku releases the bindings, he then frees himself, but we don't get to see it because everyone on the mission had seen Aizen's zanpakuto.
If Yhwach can't see the actions of other Soul King parts, and we saw that Uryu's eye was acting weird when the Almighty activated. Is it possible that Uryu is the missing 4th eye, and that is why Yhwach didn't see him shoot the still silver arrow. It would also explain why Auswahlen didn't work on him, and Yhwach needed to keep him close to monitor him, because he couldn't see his actions through Almighty.
Man I think you missed/misinterpreted some things from the manga: Mimihagi is "Stillness" so he "froze" the sickness, like his Zustand, but not the sickness itself. It's like stopping cancer cells from growing, but they remain in the body. 2. Kiyone and Sentaro are the two 3rd seats that are "acting lieutenants" just as Hisagi and Izuru werre (but in their case acting capitains)
I am unsure. I did definitely misunderstand it, stillness is more a concept of "a state is frozen", not "a thing is frozen". =) But kyone and sentarou were never revealed 3rd seats save for databook 1 I think? =)
pretty sure the fact that mimihagi can just stop the disease from progressing, so he still has the same level of disease he had before it getting stopped. The fact that something does not get worse does not mean its cured
@@troytheboy1985 really depends, if it would seek to adapt and overcome the illness or if it would just accelerate it to kill him faster not sure. since both would be progression
Another saturday another peak ep edit: goddamn I went from crying to almost forgeting how to breathe at the end edit2: Kinda hard to diagnose as kubo could use just "anime illness logic" but cystic fibrosis is likely what the disease was.
My theory is that since yhwach is the son of Adnyeus, he would have 4 pupils but since it seems ichibe had something to do with the loss of his real name and how he was covered in black when he turned to a baby, he can only gain 3 eyes because of his dna (Adnyeus). If ichibe didnt remove his name when he turned into a baby, then hed probably would have 4.
The Almighty doesn't work on itself. The Soul King can use it and as long as his literal pieces are still under his Almighty influence Ywach can't see them with his. I assume the inverse is also correct.
mimihagi stopped the spreading of the disease but didn't heal him I think, after all it governs stillness, you would need a form of progress to get better it's like having a gaping wound but the bleeding has magically stopped so it wont kill you but it might leak/splash around if you move around etc
I always assumed Ukitake was born with a different hair colour but the stress of his illness turned it white. As extreme stress or condition can rapidly cause your hair to turn grey or white. But that's just a guess on my part.
I didn't watch the full video yet but just saying, Ukitake saying "We'll see each other soon" is a hint for hell arc maybe?? If I remember correctly you did make a video reading the hell one shot chapter. What do you think, is it just like metaphorically or is it a hint for hell arc? { Coz the line made me hype for some reason🤣} Pointless blabber here: I recently learned that the word "IRON" in German is "Eisen" and its pronunciation kinda sounds like 'Aizen' ? If that's true then that's crazzzzyyyyyy🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
SPOILLLLLLL If u read the novel you know that Azashiro Kenpachi already unseal Aizen's left eyes and ankles so its really him in front of kyoraku not spiritual pressure 👍
Yes, though I am unsure if that was just to make this more clear in retrospect :D I also do not know if that is canon as they have Shinjis bankai banned (I think?) and he uses it in TYBW anime :D

That's Actually Aizen there. He was trolling when he said he Shunsui two more keys to use, and Shunsui counter-trolled by using the two keys on the parts Aizen already could use. lol
yeah, that was my headcanon all along, but was never sure.
the ost that plays when Mimihagi shows himself to Ukitake is so good
My understanding of Aizen's situation is that Kyoraku saw Kyoka Suigetsu's illusion of Aizen's body, but it was still necessary to unseal him with 3 keys, after which he just arrived in the same place, where his illusion stood, so his disintegrating aura became real.
Also, Aizen actually de-evolved after Mugetsu, so the seal was able to work, but being in Muken he just reevolved back and probably even more considering he still has Hogyoku.
Hes definitely far stronger than his fight with dangai ichigo
He cant keep getting away with it
1.) he definitely is.
2.) he can xD
I think the ichigo soul king thing comes from during the trail, ichigo for brief moments developed 4 pupils, exactly like the soul kings, vs ywach who only has 3, implying that ichigo is closer in potential to the soul king than even ywach
HELL ARC FORESHADOWING IN THIS EP
yeah, elt us hope they announce it during c4
Pretty sure the Aizen effect is Kyouka Suigetsu. When Kyouaku releases the bindings, he then frees himself, but we don't get to see it because everyone on the mission had seen Aizen's zanpakuto.
My favourite take as well, as we know it is now fused with him =) Though from SAFWY it was azashiro.
I can't imagine Chad losing
Chad x Floor, better lovestory than twilight
If Yhwach can't see the actions of other Soul King parts, and we saw that Uryu's eye was acting weird when the Almighty activated. Is it possible that Uryu is the missing 4th eye, and that is why Yhwach didn't see him shoot the still silver arrow.
It would also explain why Auswahlen didn't work on him, and Yhwach needed to keep him close to monitor him, because he couldn't see his actions through Almighty.
Yeah, I hope that is what they are going with, it woul elevate c4 so much =)
In the light novels kenpachi azashiro released some of Aizen's seals to talk to him.
i think its more shunsui is still under kyoka suigetsu , that why he believed Aizen came before him
My favourite take as well, as we know it is now fused with him =)
As my homies used to say:
"Hogyoku Hogyoku. Rangiku. ButterflAizen."
i need the next ep now😭
Man I think you missed/misinterpreted some things from the manga: Mimihagi is "Stillness" so he "froze" the sickness, like his Zustand, but not the sickness itself.
But kyone and sentarou were never revealed 3rd seats save for databook 1 I think? =)
pretty sure the fact that mimihagi can just stop the disease from progressing, so he still has the same level of disease he had before it getting stopped. The fact that something does not get worse does not mean its cured
but his the arm of stillness if it was the other arm he would of got better
Yeah, it seems frozen =(
@@troytheboy1985 really depends, if it would seek to adapt and overcome the illness or if it would just accelerate it to kill him faster not sure. since both would be progression
@@viktore.degray3259 you are right its advancement so it would of just accelerate like you said
I am unsure, depends on who gets it. But yeah, would be ugly either way :D
Another saturday another peak ep
edit: goddamn I went from crying to almost forgeting how to breathe at the end
edit2: Kinda hard to diagnose as kubo could use just "anime illness logic" but cystic fibrosis is likely what the disease was.
I think it is also him missing one pupil
mimihagi stopped the spreading of the disease but didn't heal him I think, after all it governs stillness, you would need a form of progress to get better
it's like having a gaping wound but the bleeding has magically stopped so it wont kill you but it might leak/splash around if you move around etc
Yeah, it seems frozen =(
@@storieswithstyle Also for the end, ukitake offered all his organs to mimihagi so I guess he is braindead
Yeah, I do think he is already dead now =(
they explain why he still has his illness at 10:37
Yeah, it seems frozen =(
@@storieswithstyle yeah it’s crazy, it’s like becoming a captain while constantly being in the state of having 5 days left to live
Also might mean he
SPOILER
would be a lot more powerfull in hell without the disease
I always assumed Ukitake was born with a different hair colour but the stress of his illness turned it white. As extreme stress or condition can rapidly cause your hair to turn grey or white. But that's just a guess on my part.
It was in the manga
I didn't watch the full video yet but just saying, Ukitake saying "We'll see each other soon" is a hint for hell arc maybe?? If I remember correctly you did make a video reading the hell one shot chapter. What do you think, is it just like metaphorically or is it a hint for hell arc? { Coz the line made me hype for some reason🤣}
Pointless blabber here: I recently learned that the word "IRON" in German is "Eisen" and its pronunciation kinda sounds like 'Aizen' ? If that's true then that's crazzzzyyyyyy🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
never undestood why soul society has a deity tha is not the soul king (i know it is but the people didnt knew)
I think those districts might not have known about him
❤
SPOILLLLLLL If u read the novel you know that Azashiro Kenpachi already unseal Aizen's left eyes and ankles so its really him in front of kyoraku not spiritual pressure 👍
Yes, though I am unsure if that was just to make this more clear in retrospect :D I also do not know if that is canon as they have Shinjis bankai banned (I think?) and he uses it in TYBW anime :D
@@storieswithstyle i might be wrong but Kubo was involved in that novel so its canon i guess🫠i like the way your passion btw keep going mate we all know whats coming next episode👑👌😁
I do know CFYOW is canon and SAFWY is also reasonably canon. I think it probably sprang from the unclarity in this scene, though, to be fair. I do not mind though as it really fits. =) Thanks for your kind words, love Bleach so much =)
for the seals maybe yhwach unsealed some of them on his visite to aizen
The Anime is what Kubo wanted the Manga to be
yeah, also explains cour 4 which must have almost all new content of like 60+ chapters that were missing =)
