@@kvtechvarshney5179it is used in multiple purposes. Some even use it on their pet to track. I haven't used them so I can't talk much. But buying for mobile search is a joke.. You can track your vehicle too if I am not wrong.

I tracked my luggage that was supposed to get in Bali but the apple tag helped me to track it and i came to know it reached Perth Australia. It helped me to retrieve my luggage in 24 hours and 20k indian rupees for delayed baggage instead of loss of baggage

Its good as let chain and wallet so its easy and u wont forget at home or office. I use samsung tags and when my frnd takes my car i can track them by tag attached to keychain worth it but it rare use and maximum use of samsung tag is to find phone and control smartthingd and mainly to remeber i forget keys or wallet and m out of reach And batery lasted for 11 month and 13 month each tag.
My Airtags acts the same way when there are no apple devices around. Until apple user base increases in India, these 2 products are one and the same for me.
@Karthik Devanahalli did u try samsung tag coz samsung users r many in india. I live in Qatar n apple is market leader yet within every 2-5 mins the tag get updates.

Lol a Sim is not equal to a phone. It cannot control the phones radios or anything. Only a phone company can make this happen not a sim company. Also the company should be huge enough to have devices everywhere which only apple currently is not even samsung can be this consistent now.
@@orion260 first of all mr know it all chill... if that device had a gps antenna and a sim to transmit the gps info to jio servers then it can tracked live ;-) no need for big mobile manufacturer to do that

Do you even know what a Sim is? I kindly suggest you to do some research or else you'll call me a know it all again for your lack of knowledge not mine. A sim just contains info of the phone number and contacts and it just acts as a license for the phones radios to be transmitting info on the frequency alloted by the Sim card company. So the phone calls and the internet you use by connecting to jio servers are physically connected to the phones radios & antennas not the sim card itself. So even if the sim card company wants the GPS information it cannot attain it unless the phone allows it cause it physically connects to the phone not the sim card. Please do research instead of making comments on me

Imagine a situation where, say someone is stalking you for bad intentions and puts an airtag in your bag and gets your address, or anywhere you are going. And this situation can be very real for Vloggers, Celebrities etc.

For Indian companies, check the Tenable report of last year. Recently, Govt has negated the fact that cowin data has been leaked but who knows !? Companies have done this a lot of times where they previously negated that they got breached but after a few years or months accepted the same.
And btw social media tracking us, and some random people tracking us through air tag is a whole lot different thing. You have heard of issues in the USA, where ppl found someone else's air tags in their bags. Now, Apple took remedies to address the issues, but Jio would be doing something like that, and how much it would be effective, I heavily doubt.

Even Airtag's live location works only within bluetooth range. Basically its the same tech thats inside both of these tags. The difference is iPhone's U1 chip which helps in live location of the tag which android lacks. If you lost your airtag in India, thats basically same as the Jio tag because the IPhone network here is just so so

The Jio tag has one advantage over the air tag which is to find your phone. But the air tag is great to have a live location. I like that you can launch the camera on the phone and ring the phone regardless that it is in silence with the Jio tag. 😎💯💪🏾👍🏾
Jio has recognized the use case and made it affordable...Air Tag is for Long range and pple who want to buy it will buy it,Jio tag is for a different use case altogether so yeah depends

Actually they are not completely useless. I mean
There is a an option which is not mentioned in this shorts. If you loose a Jio Tag,
1) It only shows the last location, when the Jio tag was connected via Bluetooth to mobile.
2) When lost, you can Mark your JioTag as lost on the JioThings app. So the Jio Community find network will search and report back the location of your lost JioTagged belonging!

That’s the point those tags are maid to find lost or stolen objects if it gets disconnected in a short range then it’s waste to get jio tag , in my opinion
Jio tag should use jio tower specific wireless band to relay it's location information to jio servers and then we from our jio app linked to that tag should read that location information.
