I think the reason why people are in awe of Sadhguru is because he is like a baby who can interact as an untainted. As we are concieved and borne enlightened, we take on the muck of the existing consciousness which clouds our enlightenment. Cleaning off the muck is the purpose of life and joyous is the person who succeeds at this.
We are not born enlightened. Stop saying stupid shit trying to sound clever. We are born without all the excess of the world being pushed in our face for x amount of years, or the muck of existing consciousness if you prefer, but we are also drooling bundles of flesh who can't walk ,talk ,defend ourselves or even take a shit without help. Being free from the stain of living on this earth for a short while before your inevitable fall into the muck with the rest of us is not enlightenment my friend it's a cruel quirk of nature is all and of those there are many. You are born innocent maybe but enlightened? No.

One POINT that, either I fundamentally misunderstand Sadhguru, and that is PROBABLE as well as possible. However, he does seem to actually believe that people simply respond to how they are treated. He says "you treat a person good they will be happy with you" however, he goes on to say: " if you don't treat a person well, then they will not like you so well"I find that to be so "simplistic" as to be "Pollyanna-like" and this coming from someone who MOCKS Jesus's teaching of "turning the other cheek" demonstrating a complete FAILURE for him to UNDERSTAND the meaning and DEEPER MEANING. Sadhguru got STUCK on the superficial "meaning" and totally missed the entire POINT. Considering HOW POOR the so called "Christians" of the Americas, especially North America and the "Protestants" but the Catholics have stray FAR from the teachings of Jesus Christ. What they have been teaching their own children is an ABOMINATION so I URGE anyone and everyone to LISTEN to Sadhguru and watch his videos because I KNOW we ALL, including myself, will "profit" a lot from him!

He sounds good but he dodged loads of questions from the rabbi by spouting some nonsense instead of answering the quextion. Don't get me wrong he says a lot of things I agree with but he also says some really silly things and I am amazed more people don't see it. People hang of his every word and are in a state of expectation listening to him so whatever he says they have already decided it's profound before he opens his mouth. He does say profound shit but he also says batshit stuff too. It's mad so many people that are listening to a guru ( whatever that is) who claims to be opening the minds of the people can't make a simple distinction between his good stuff and his bullshit. I love this world.
Your assuming he's arrogant. Sadhguru tells people to not believe anyone at face value, even him. To take what works for you, and what doesn't to simply discard it, whether profound or not, so to say he 'claims' to be opening people's mind is a stretch. He constantly says take charge of the seat of your life experience, and that is 100% your business, hello? This basically means you just show up and listen and keep what you agree with. A guru means you are a neutral person that values logic and critical thinking above dogma, because his business does not depend on changing people's mind anyway, just offering a different point of view then the one you happened to be born in. The very nature of a guru is often not to say, yes, or no because a lot is lost in translation. A guru should take apart what people believe and put things back together comprehensively without assuming right and wrong, and most of these questions are incredible nuanced and complex and probably shouldn't be answered by 'yes,' or 'no,' not to say he never goes off in different directions, but most of the time it's to take your mind on a journey to see things from a different POV. A point of view can't always be expressed by every single question in the exact way people ask it, because when you (always) accept people's questions the way it's framed, and answer in the way that they expect, you are agreeing to their individual dogma, which kind of defeats the purpose of being a guru.
