Thanks for the comment. Yes the Vango instructions were a bit vague. Feel free to mention this video to Vango maybe they will take the hint. ha ha Glad the vid helped. Atb Dave
Hi - thanks for this - it works well. I modified the fitting by crossing over the cord below each clip, so it holds stuff better, but without your video I wouldn't have been able to fit the cord; as the paperwork with the rucksack isn't very good - must add I just got a real bargain at Go Outdoors, the Sherpa 70:80 for or only £55.00 - if this lasts as well as my 20 plus year old Vango Exodus 55 i'll be happy - this is still in great condition but I needed a bigger sack for winter wild camping.
South-West-Wilderness Cheers Glenn, guess my teaching background comes in handy for videos like this, this was a bit easier than teaching 5 year olds to tie a bowline. lol Atb Dave
@@playing_in_trafic Did you have any issues with the front zip bursting on this pack? Any other issues? Would you recommend? Seen a almost unused one for sale. Thanks.
Thank you so much for saving my rucksack from being thrown out of the window in a fit of rage. The “instructions” are useless. In fact I understood women better than I did those instructions.
Hey, sorry for late reply. TH-cam doesn't properly inform me when I have new comments. Glad you managed to source extra clips, thanks for sharing that fact, could come in very handy. I presume the elastic on the ether side are for securing walking poles, that's what I use them for anyway. Glad you like the pack too. Atb Dave
@@playing_in_trafic Have you checked your settings fir comment notifications or your device as i have twitter and mine are turned off. Don't want tons from all I'm following else I'd go mad🤪lol🤣🤘
@@playing_in_trafic And your welcome as i contacted Vango for the clips but they said thry don't do clips, only with the purchase inventory. So i hunted the ones i mentioned and thought I'd pass on the 'knowledge', 🤓🤘
Easy when you know how lol,you certainly are practical Dave thats for sure, by the way I traded the old banger in for a 1995 Bongo at the weekend, its old but comes with a three year warranty. I was wondering Dave where is the best/cheapest place to get the mattress for the roof top plus the window foil blockers for sun and cold, would appreciate any help, thanks mate :) Tim
savedpurplecat Yeah I almost made it sound like I knew what I was doing haha Nice one, mines a 97-98 but they are pretty much all of a sameness, pretty sure my brothers is a 1995 too. Nice deal getting one with the 3 year warranty, hopefully not need it though. Now they are probably the 2 most expensive items to get, but you can get lucky with the thermal blinds by getting a used set off eBay, new they are generally around £100 for the front, 2 front sides and the rear. Having said that I ended up paying £70 second hand for mine, hopefully you will have better luck than me. I made the ones for the rear side windows from the reflective bubble wrap stuff I got from Homebase "ThermaWrap" I think its called. Cut out template and doubled up two layers of that held together with alu tape for each window they work a treat. As for roof mattress mine came with a really cheap hand made looking thing which I have not got round to replacing yet. Having seen the memory foam one my bro got I think its worth paying a bit extra and getting a quality one, again of eBay its a treasure trove for bongo part and accessories. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Memory-Foam-Mazda-Bongo-Ford-Freda-Roof-Mat-Foam-Mattress-matress-/180852932586?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2a1bacbfea pretty expensive but very well made. Hope this helps, happy motoring. Atb Dave
Good drills mucka. Instructions in the kit aren't the most intuitive. Funny how it only takes seeing someone doing it right to get the brainbox firing. Cheers!
Thanks for this. I was getting very frustrated trying to follow the diagram and rude words were beginning to escape my mouth 😤. I then checked TH-cam and your explanation was perfect 😀.
Thank you, I was having a meltdown trying to figure this out, easy when you know how.
Glad it helped. It was a bit of a head scratcher for me when I first saw the instructions. haha Thanks for the comment. Atb Dave
This is an old video but saved me time preparing my son for his DoE! Thanks 🙏
Thanks for commenting. Good to hear the video is still helping out. Atb Dave
Thanks a lot chap, been scratching my head with the the limited instructions I received. All makes sense once you know how.
Glad to assist, thanks for commenting. Atb Dave
You sir are a legend. Thank you. Vango should put a link to this video in the rucksack instead of their instructions.
Thanks for the comment. Yes the Vango instructions were a bit vague. Feel free to mention this video to Vango maybe they will take the hint. ha ha Glad the vid helped. Atb Dave
Legend. I found this chord loose in my new Vango bag. Had no idea how to fit it and the instructions were... minimal. This cleared things up. Cheers!

I just got my Sherpa, same sit and yeh your spot on, would be nice if there were more than 3 clips so I'll see if i can get more or similar🤠👍
Vango should put that video on their website, you've made that look easy Dave. Atb Glenn.

I have a Q: just beside the daisy elastic point there are two more elastics either side at the bottom, what are they for?🤔
