    Honestly, from someone who has watched every signal SLS event since the beginning I am so disappointed in the judging.
    Mota got robbed on his trick.. and there is zero creativity in the contest anymore. Everything is based on math. I see Jagger do the same tricks every time because he knows it will score well. I miss the days when Even Smith and Matt Berger would jump in and you didn't know what they would try and it would be so impressive and exciting! It's to bad they wouldn't be rewarded for it. Just my 2 cents.

    Great skating despite everything (judging *coughs* ), but I love how Shane called the one line format out. When you only have one line and 4 best tricks you kinda have to play it safe. Hence every skater doing the same tricks they are consistent at every contest. I am not saying the lines need to count, because some skaters are stronger at single tricks, while others are stronger at lines, let them play to their strenghts, BUT give them more tries again. If you want to show better skateboarding to the world, give them a chance to risk a bit more. Some still do, and it's still great skateboarding, but you get the gist. Maybe bring back the tech and impact section to get more diversity. But this way you get the same sh*** all over every contest. That's not how you get loyal viewers. And this is coming from one.... For now....

    I wish i would have seen the final. My lil brother had sky box and me and my three other fam had general admission. We come togather we sit togather, if not I don't watch without. I got to see pamela rosa, kevin hofler, and the orignator of grind for life out front. Waste of money on a ticket, but taught three kids how to ollie and two kids how to catch a kickflip w/ their back foot. I may have missed the final. The smile I seen from those kids landing those tricks was all worth it.

    I know I’m new to skating but the kickflip to backtail with a shuv out by Mota was insanely underscored…especially after the Kelvin got a better score for a less complex trick

  • @oChains

    I'd just love to see a single trick section where they're forced to skate a stair set (instead of a handrail every damn time. make a park with no main handrail).. so the judges would have re-jig their scoring tactics and dudes would actually get rewarded..it would also probably shake things up with the standings too

  • @pierrearr
    @pierrearr 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I think Rabelo's last trick was underscored. 9.3 for a trick that nobody else in the world can do is a bit too low.

    Wish the more creative choices got better scores. I'd like to see any of the others kickflip over that entire rail like Luan. Like its not a 9 Club or anything but definitely a 7.5 - 8.2 kind of choice. He got screwed on that.

    I kinda have an idea for a new format what if you give them 3 line sections and the best score from the line section is a score and keep the 4 best tricks and the 2 best scores from that will make the end score that would make it more intresting as well

    I've slowly checked the replay between similar tricks, the variable score is too much spaced between them, even through I could understand why 1 is better.

    I love that they cut the run section into just 1 attempt cuz most dudes don't seem to do well In that section.. u gotta be REALLY consistent to be good In the line section.

    • @SirBeachBoy
      @SirBeachBoy 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I mean isn't that the point? The people good enough to utilize the entire course & throw down multiple good 45 second runs are the ones who should be winning. If anything it's kinda weird how a couple of one trick scores can completely overshadow/delete your 45 second run's existence.

    it would be interesting to keep track of special interest senarios, for instance.. how does kelly heart judge skaters that skate for mob or es compared to skaters who dont as well as other judges.. there is clear as day favoritism and bias at play in the judging. and everyone in the3 comments sees it also.
