Used to go to the public library with my mom all the time as a child. I would go to the computers and hope they had the space version of the magic school bus! I played a lot of them!
Thanks for sharing this! My sense of the relationships between sound, color, and texture was probably shaped by some of the freakier parts of this game
Maybe I'm really high but that colour shit with the planets is HELLA weird now that I look back at it, but I lived for this shit when I was like four 😂
Stages In Actual Order, Planetary Order (Obviously): Mercury Venus Earth's Moon Mars Jupiter's Moon (Io) Saturn Uranus Neptune Pluto Stages Arranged In Easiest To Hardest IMO During Childhood: Earth's Moon [Super Easy/Easiest] Mars [Very Easy] Mercury [Easy] Venus [Mid-Easy] Uranus [Medium] Pluto [Mid-Hard] Neptune [Hard] Jupiter's Moon (Io) [Very Hard] Saturn [Super Hard/Hardest] Others have different opinions, but I'm sure I'm not the only one that considers Earth's Moon stage the easiest. As I'm sure I'm not the only one that considers Saturn stage the hardest due to so many little platforms and so much chances of falling off, and the platforms are slippery. Other stages can definitely be interchangeable in regards to difficulty.
Microsoft might possibly plan future re releases of The Magic School Bus Explores CD-ROM games and rename them as Microsoft Explorers, which they are omitting the name because they are tired of using the license every single time.
This is uncovering deep memories from when I was 5
This uncovers memories from when I was in daycare lol
Same❤ I LOVED THIS GAME SO MUCH
There should be a word for the feeling you get resurfacing a latent memory that has lain unremembered for decades.
Me too! I used to have the moon level music on repeat in my head
For real when I was in 1st grade
These tracks are absolute bangers, especially Mars and Neptune
i always liked Uranus
This was my first ever 2D platformer and was directly responsible for me being obsessed with space as a kid (and still to this day)
