If you do decide to check more BTS MVs, I hope you know that they don't stick to one style of music! People often mistake this, when they check out one MV and expect the rest of BTS' discography to be of the same style/type. So when you jump from Fake Love to Mic Drop to DNA to Blood, Sweat & Tears to Fire to Dope, you'll see what I'm talking about. 😂

To the outside world they look preppy or whatever but honestly they are repressed emo's who like Hip hop and are very good at combining it into widely enjoyed masterpieces. At first you think "another hopeless love song" but then their mv's portray what it can do to a person or what people go through in general, mental illnesses, aggression, sadness, revenge, regret, sentimentality, homesickness.
I used to like kpop but slowly moved on to more rock music due to the music I grew up with, but kpop has found its way back to my heart.

Their songs just show a lot of emotion and stories they share with us.This song/album can be taken a several ways there is a lot of theories I am sure bts didn't just write about a brake up, they would of been sneaky and hid something in the MV 😂Big Hit and BTS are not that simple, they like to confuse us and use a lot of metaphors even I am pretty sure Namjoon said that before.😂

BTS is known for cinematic MVs and tight, complex choreography. You might be confused by all the visuals in this MV... That's because they relate to a storyline that has been running through their MVs since 2015. The story in ongoing...
As others have pointed out, all BTS MVs have English subtitles (cc button). Lyrics are important since they write and produce most of their own music and their lyrics are often deep. You can also watch their dance practices if you want to check out the choreography in more detail. They are amazing.
Not all videos relate to the storyline. Some are stand alone: Danger, Dope, Fire, Not Today, Save Me, DNA, Mic Drop

And, since I believe that the video for Jimin's Serendipity is connected to the storyline, then the universe look or looking inside of our minds and bodies visuals for DNA is also connected... ?

I agree, Fake Love's visuals to me in this room that's the photo being used by them in this video is from DNA except that time has passed and the love that covered the eyes has lifted

I'm not sure Danger is stand alone, there's a scene from that MV that shows up in V's short film
Metal head as well✋. I started watching this band in a mood to dismiss it straight up, but then got hooked. I like songs with complicated and deep meanings, challenging societal norms(something i appreciate in metal), and i found that in bts as well. Deep respect for these guys. I'd say theirs is the only form of 'pop' music that i like. They like to venture in multiple genres though

The original version actually sounds different the rock remix is used for the extended video. There's 7 members, 3 are rappers, 4 are vocalists. BTS are known for writing and producing their own music and having deep lyrics unlike most groups. They're also extremely versatile with their sound. Their videos have tons of symbolism and art/literature references. This mv is part of an ongoing storyline connected to their previous videos starting from 2015. You guys should turn on the CC for english subtitles. To learn more about them I suggest "who is BTS" and for music videos I recommend:

Welcome to BTS rabbit hole. BTS has debuted in 2013 and produced over 120 songs by group projects or solos, or in mixtapes by each rapper. There are so many good songs you might like a lot. Please, enjoy them~. Most MVs have English subtitle if you turn CC on. Also, there are lyric videos available for all BTS songs in youtube. There are tons of symbolism that BTS uses in their music video so there's a lot more than what meets to the eye. I personally like how they incorporated both acoustic and electric guitar in this version which is rare, however, i like the original more as it is the perfect tempo for a song this passionate. It would be amazing if you guys could react to some actual krock bands like FT Island(they have been around for like 11 years), The Rose, Day6(they mix other genres with rock sometimes), Royal Pirates(Underrated in every sense), JJY band, etc.

Bts (Bangtan Soyeondan) has a story through most of their music videos. They haven't told us the story beside it's about youth, growing up and dealing with temptations.
Bts (debuted in 2013) is a 7 member group; 3 rappers and 4 vocalist, with a more hip-hop and R&B feel to them but they do have those pop songs. They do write and produce 95% of their songs and they do sometimes choreograph some parts of their dances.
Jin - oldest member, vocalist
Suga - rapper, songwriter, composer, producer ( Started out as an underground rapper, has his own mixtape check it out especially agust'd, his other stage name)
J-hope - dancer, rapper (has his own mixtape check it out)
RM - rapper, songwriter ( started out has an underground rapper, you might hear him be called rapmonster, it's a older stage name also has his own mixtape)
Jimin - dancer, vocalist
V - vocalist, dancer
Jungkook - golden makne( youngest member and is good at everything he picks up), vocalist, dancer, sub-rapper, songwriter

In the mv you see most of them were in their own room is because they have locked who they truly are away for this love unlike love yourself: her where it's about the good, colorful side of love. (The story for the whole series goes back 3 years to their I Need U, run, prologue, young forever, wings short films, boy meets evil; blood, sweat & tears, (even the Japanese versions have parts of the story) love yourself: her highlight reel, euphoria, singularity and fake love.) I probably missed some but thats most of the story line. It's an alternate universe.

Gus McArthur Idk. I haven't counted. I mean there are some in between that are just normal videos. But for their Wings album there are mini short films that each member has of their own. So there are 7 short films and the story continues on with those. There are are also solo songs that each members has in the wings album. Fake love is what I believe was the next recent mv to continue the story.

By the way, the one you reacted Fake Love was the title song of their newest album Love Yourself-Tear w/c reflect a lot of symbolism like fire, water, snicker bars, the flower at the beginning, etc. w/c is a part of a long storyline. BTS started a music narratives that connects all of their albums since 2015. They play 7 characters of themselves in their music narrative universe and it tells the story of these boys going from childhood to adulthood and all the pain and struggles they have to face. It covers a lot of sensitive topics that young people have to face that society especially their country rarely talks about like depression, drug abuse, mental illness, domestic violence and even suicide. Many can relate since they have eng translation in every mv. That's how interesting BTS music...hope you react to more Bts content💕

Hi! Great video and comments! Allways enjoy seeing people who are genuinly interested in getting to know different genres than their own! You did great, no disrespectful comment that bts has had many times about makeup,, looking like girl, stylish clothes etc. I live in Finland and as you metalheads maybe know, we have PRETTY large metal backgroun and I also have listened metal my whole life as my friends too. And so many friends are wondering what the hell are you doing fangirling a idol group from South Korea! And sometimes I am too, LOL! But these guys have good spirits, they write songs about anxiety, depression, mental health, suiside and peoples daily struggles. They are open about themself having those anxietys. They interact with fans in live chats and fan meetings and are allways grateful and humble to point out that all that they are, is because of their fans. If you want to dive deeper into the group it self, maybe check a video "Who is bts". It is a good introduction to them that you cant see from mv's.

You know what? I came across a metal band last night called Lies Behind Your Eyes and they did a metal version of Fake Love and they sang/growl in Korean. I love that the growler actually growl-raps all the rap parts. Please react to that. You won’t regret it!

Basically the leader of this group, RM said that this song can be a perspective from person to person or you and your own self the messages that they want to deliver is you can’t find a real/true love if you are untrue to yourself. something like that.

bts are really unique. their discography has such a crazy variety, they jump from genre to genre while still having a distinct sound. each member came from an arts background, and when they first debuted they were extremely poor, looked down upon and underestimated. they seriously went through so many hardships. they also produce and compose and write all of their songs, or have some sort of input. the messages behind their songs go way deeper than you would think, they've written about social and political problems, fake love being part of their 3 year hyyh story which is about growing up from adolescence into adulthood, the difficulties you face (drugs, mental illnesses etc.) and also about loving yourself. they're honestly all goofs and are one big family, and im sure you'll love a lot of their stuff. i'd like to recommend their live performances !!

BTS have cemented their worlwide popularity by taking on topics most artists try to avoid. They have love songs and upbeat dance songs, but they also discuss parental/peer pressure, mental illness, suicide, depression and loneliness. Their videos are almost all interconnected, there's even a trace in their very first video if you know what to look for. ARMY loves these boys because of the message they put out, their individual personalities and because they love us just as much.
I think bts is cool because all their music videos connect... it like sucks you down the rabbit hole but it introduces you to a new world and gives you insight to many different problems... :)

I LOVE BTS, and one of my favorite things is watching the reaction videos on TH-cam. My favorites are people who aren't kpop, or even pop fans, but come from some other genre viewpoint, like you guys. It gives me a different perspective into their music. Thank you for doing this!
Just imo, I think Fake Love has the broadest appeal of any song they've done so far, as the breadth of music fans who might enjoy it. Which is part of why they've gotten as big as they have in the U.S.

BTS have been around since 2013 so there is alot of music by them out there. Never put them under a label as they cover all genres sometimes in one song lol. Look forward to more reactions to them. You cant go wrong with their title tracks, fire, dope, Mic drop, not today, to name a few but honestly I havent met a bts song I didnt like. They are performing artists and their concerts are lit.
The video is like a 20th episode of a tv series you're watching for the first time ever, it contains a storyline of artistic concept been expanding from 2015. So please don't get lost in this chaos you see :)

The original song sounds different from this "extended version- rock remix" please do more BTS! I mainly listen to classic rock, some metal, hip hop, etc but BTS hooked me a couple years ago and I've been a fan since. They are so talented that you just can't resist their music and videos- especially when I found out they write their own music and have a hand in producing most of it- something that is out of the ordinary in not only kpop but also popular music at large esp in the US. They are also extremely versatile and make music in many different styles and genres. Hope you guys continue to check out more. You should also watch the video "who is BTS?" By Suga n spice. I think you'll gain a whole new appreciation for this group after seeing each members individual talents, their personalities and their work ethic. BTS are multitalented. They even produce their own music and songs. Their leader,RM,has credits in almost all of their latest album. And their songs are all about things and issues that we can resonate in daily life like love,mental health and society stigma. This is why they have big dedicated fandom. Ever heard of ARMY? Fun fact, there was almost no video effects in neither this video nor the original. Most of it is made by mechanisms n' stuff, which is think they need praise for. It's so awesome. Like, of course the phone was made with effects, but the water, fire (and from what I've heard and know) the floor falling is neither a cinematic effect, which is crazy!
you guys should react to DNA and Not today rock version by BTS from KBS channel. (dunno if u will get problems with copyrights so be careful) if u can´t react to those versions I recommend u to watch it by urself. They have a band playing live while they singing and dancing.

I am a metal head but I also love bts. I’ve been a metal head since I was little but I’ve always been cool with bts. I go back in forth between my playlists lol. Mostly because bts has deep meaning and take pride in their songs.. and that was the whole reason I enjoyed rock and metal. So thank you for being kind and so cool.

thanks for reacting to this :) welcome to the world of BTS. haha. these guys roll out good music with meaningful lyrics (about depression, addictions, questioning societal norms etc...) and tie them up with tight choreo + topnotch MVs. to ppl who have just recently discovered them, their vids - as consistently, visually stunning they are - may be confusing at first watch. this is bcoz they've been releasing vids with a particular storyline since 2015 that still continues to this day. so in asking for the next vid to watch... welllll that is kinda hard to do (since you've watched their latest release) w/o advising those interested in getting to know them that to watch their stuff in chronological order lolz (the BigHit YT channel has all the vids). they delve into diff genres, sooo if you are not interested in diving into the storyline, then maybe watching "Dope" is a good place as any to start -- that's the song that got me really interested in the group. amazing choreo, good msge for kids, and just really catchy sounds. if you are like it and wanna see their choreo in more detail, they also have a dance practice vid available (it's a kpop thing, practice vids). other than that, I'm pretty sure someone else in the comments may have listed the order in w/c to watch their vids if you are willing to jump into the whole BTS storyline/rabbithole 😂😂😂 *cheers* p.s. new subscriber! love how you two are laid back and give your honest impressions. looking forward to more guitar solos during your intros! haha
There’s this Korean band called Day 6 and they have a lot of ballads, but some of their heavier songs are “I wait” “I need somebody (my favorite)” and “how can I say”
I like that you can appreciate different music genres. Before I was into kpop I was mainly just into heavier music like System of a Down and older slip knot, but getting into kpop, it’s opened my mind to many different genres. Hopefully you guys listen to Day6!

Namjoon (RM): Leader, Main Rapper as well as composes, writes and produces a number of their tracks
Kim SeokJin (Jin): Oldest, Visual (usually is the person who is the most handsome in terms of Korean culture goes), Vocalist
Min Yoongi (Suga): Lead rapper also produces, writes and composes their songs
Jung Hoseok (J-Hope): main dancer, rapper, sub-vocalist
Park Jimin (Jimin): Lead vocalist, lead dancer
Kim Taehyung: Vocalist, dancer
Jeon Jungkook (Jungkook): Maknae (youngest member always very important in terms of Korean culture), main vocalist, lead dancer and in their earlier work did some raps.

Have you heard the metal cover of this song? The group that did it did soooo well. They did the raps is scream singing and manage to capture the emotion of the song so so so so well

A lot of their videos are connected with a story..so a lot of things in the video were specific to each members story.
I'm glad they reacted to the extended version. Even though most people prefer the original, I believe since they are metalheads they'll find this version more satisfying.

I do love the extended version, but they brought the guitar forward and made it far more dominant in the song. It sounds cool, but I have a soft spot for the original vers XD I love your reactions though! it's so cool that you're branching out into kpop :)
Always love to watch for people's reactions to kpop ('cause I'm a lonely potato and have no friends to share MVs with). I like that you guys can appreciate the work the boys have put in this, even if it's not your cup of tea (I judge by the fact that the title for the video starts with "metalhead" here). For another crazy ride in the visuals' department, check Monsta X - Dramarama. They could make an entire movie out of that. I seriously wonder sometimes, how much money do they spend on these videos, because I never seen something like that outside of kpop.
If you haven’t seen BTS’ “Class Idea” performance, I recommend it. It’s like a Rage Against The Machine vibe.

A Kpop group is almost always basically composed of people in charge with vocals, dance, rap, visuals, etc. You have to atleast be able to do two of these skills to debut as an idol. Dancing is a MUST. Some of these idols couldn't even dance that well at first but they have to train to get better because they have no other choice. Anyway, BTS is a complete package. 😩💕👌👌👌
