    Good video sir!!!!
    Although I like to do as much as I can myself, this maybe out of my ability, especially the tools and such to get those lines back in. Love the detail you showed on the valve!!😊

      Believe me that my first power steering valve rebuild did not go as good as on this video, I remember I had to take it all appart again because of a leak. But through trial and error I have successfully rebuild a few of them now 🙌 I always suggest trying it!

    Dude you are my idol! I love the way you rebuild those impalas. I'm just now starting my project. 1963 4 door sedan. It was my first car I ever bought. Drug it around for 25 years and now I'm taking the time to do rebuild it. I found your videos and thought to myself this dude it freaking cool as shit! No more videos?? Can you please make a door panel removal and repair reinstall video? I thought you had mentioned some Carpet the bottoms of the 64 door panels. Thats exactly what I was thinking about doing. Your 59 is a bad ass ride by the way. Did you learn how to work on them by yourself? I never thought there was someone else outthere that loved impala s like I do. Anyways, any new videos on you doing some impala work would be greatly appreciated.

      Thanks for the kind words! I did learn to work on cars by myself, although my dad has a lot of knowledge and has teached me a lot of stuff. I have been going trough some personnal issues this year which caused me to put the channel on hold but I hope to be doing more videos soon. I will be installing power vent windows in the 59, so I can do a video about that and that will include the door panel removal and install. I like all cars and have different brands and models but nothing like Impala's! Thats where my heart is at 🙏🏼 Stay motivated on that 63 and give it a new life!

    Hey! Great video ! This is the same pwr strg system that's on my 64 Chevy truck. I'm going thru the components to chase down leaks. Question: How do you know how far to screw the valve assembly onto the linkage? Looks like you went "all-the-way". I haven't taken mine off yet, but there's still some threads showing...not "all the way" on... ??? Thanks again/very valuable ! mr

      Hello Mark, based on the cars I have worked on that had this same valve, they all were screwed on all the way so I never questioned that to be honest. In case of doubt you can look up the workshop manual for your year truck and see if there is any mention of that.

      @@AMB1800 Thanks for the response ! My shop manual only covers the one-piece steering gear/valve assembly like on your other car. I'll keep looking, though. Thanks again, and keep up the good work ! ! !

    Ok bruh. I got a new control value and a new cylinder. I have a new power steering pump. When we start the vehicle up. The whee turns to the right. We changed the lines on the cylinder. And now it turns left. What should I do now?

    • @AMB1800
      @AMB1800  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      9/10 that is because the valve has to be adjusted, take the cover off on the side and either tighten or loosen the nut to adjust to right or left until you find the middle point. Make sure you do have the lines fitted correctly from the valve to the cylinder since that will affect the direction your power assistance works to
