    Correction on tip 3... if you break down you must put your high visibility vest on BEFORE you get out of your vehicle

    9 Beware of the short stretches with reduced speed limits for whatever reason. That's where they put the "surprise" cameras.
    There are 2000 fixed speed cameras in Belgium, that is not counting the fleet of anonymous camera cars hidden behind every possible obstacle from bushes to traffic signs and even garbage bins. Not to mention the latest novelty, trajectory control.
    Also many flashes are invisible, the first thing you'll notice that you've been had is that dreaded letter from a police department in your letter box.
    18 Most petrol stations today are self service and you pay at the ATM near the pumps. These are open 24/24 and 7/7.
