In my opinion, one of the big problems with Destiny is the thin cast of characters: I want more guardians interacting in the story, including Till, Shin Malphur, Marcus Ren/Didi, Shiro-9 and Lysander. Better storytelling, with multiple different threads coming together like a novel might really boost this franchise. Oh, and it would be great to see Gwynn being moved into the main universe too. I like her.
If they do that, then the main bungie group needs little to no help in making the series and be mainly run by people who are fans of the franchise like the sonic movies.
Other character from the lore i'd love to see in game would be Orin Even if we ignore the whole Nine subplot, she has many connections to other characters (Drifter, Mara, apparently Eris, probably Saint, you won't yell me ots not a perfect cast for a season/episode) and unique personality She was recently mentioned in several lore tabs, there's even a model of her alredy made

I love background characters in Destiny personally! They just add more depth to characters we see all the time
