To see an open-minded, incredibly talented actor, engage with such humility, no big ego, no attempts to maintain a facade of perfection & be so down to earth & kind in an authentic manner is so refreshing compared to the opposite, perfection parade & egotism charade that's often seen and inherited from the industry. Way cool Kyle
Finally got around to watching Twin Peaks: The Return and it’s just a fucking masterpiece from start to end. If you can, try to binge watch it and let it wash over you, hour after hour. I watched the majority of the series on a plane with headphones and I’d say that was the perfect way to experience it. I was continually thrilled, disgusted, baffled, tearful, horrified, intrigued but not once was I disengaged. 18 hours and not one of those felt like filler. Kyle MacLachlan gives the performance(s) of his career and manages to give us one of the most lovable characters in TV history as Dougie but also one of the most terrifying as Mister C.
Kale is a wonderful human, and the interviewer conducted a wonderful interview. Twin Peaks is so much more than celluloid for so many of us -- it's sacred.
Kyle seems to have a really solid handle on how Lynch works... I wonder if the actors we see coming back over and over for Lynch films reflect that. If you 'get it', he's probably a great guy to work with, but if you don't understand how he operates (which is NOT like most directors) it's probably really frustrating for all involved. MacLachlan clearly 'gets it'. Also... Come on Kyle, I know an obvious prop you need... you need the Owl Cave Ring to go with your Atreides Ducal Signet ring from Dune. I think we can call it yours as much as Laura's, Mike's or the Arm's... and it was last seen on you as Mr. C. There, solved it for you.
dougie jones was the best character in the show and his scenes were all perfectly in-line with the kind of shit twin peaks was *actualiy* all about. absurd banality juxtaposed against the bizarre and the evil. the weird is a very important part of it. dougie jones exists to fill a very important role in the story and in the world and the show would absolutely be worse off if there hadn't been so much of him.

Kale's the man.
Fascinating interview. Kyle is the ideal Lynch-ian frontman. Brilliant actor.

Binge watching it is the best way to consume it, I watched the whole series in three days
On your FUCKING telephone?

That gum he likes is coming back in style
"Jade give 2 rides"
That Kale guy seems like a lovely person.
I'd love to have a strong black coffee with old Kale
Wow! Great interview... Thanks! 👍

voodoochild1975az I agree on the ring, if I were him I would follow your tip and sport that ring forever
I Love this guy
"Let's get out of here and have a pizza!" Lol
I love « Kale » (or Kyle) so much! ❤
Reminded me of the SNL skit. I was half expecting a screaming David lynch to interrupt with a phone call.
Interesting thoughts by Kyle, considering he, understandably, isn‘t allowed to reveal too much. Great interview thx
He could totally own the Professor role in a remake of Gilligan's Island.
If i could have one prop from twin peaks, it would be the log.
Dana Adalaide " I'd keep Kandy" 😋
Dale Cooper returns, 30 years later. Long live the fighters.
I thought the interviewer was Fred Armisen doing a character for the first 35 minutes.
helOooOOooOoo
Hahaha

What a stand up guy
Its the deconstruction of the polar opposites played out within a world that doesn't immediately make sense.
Dualities are very typical for Lynch, so I would agree!
Damn I want to see the version of S3 Kyle discusses at 4:20 with less of that fucking Dougie. Would have improved the season significantly.
you missed the point completely
