I typed in my name on TH-cam about a year ago, and the Jim Boyd Band came up. I've been listening to his TH-cam videos ever since. I love, A Million Miles Away,, Keep singing up there Jim,, R.I.P.
Rest in Peace Jim Boyd , I recently started listening to your music shared to me by one of your friends from the Omak area that now lives in Wenatchee and has a coffee shop their , I play Guitar and sing and write songs also and I started covering one of your songs (I will remember) great singing /songwriting and Guitar playing , thank you Jim for the wonderful music and Art you left us with ,we will remember ...
Jim Boyd was a great musician and song writer. I have been following him on youtube for quite some time. I always thought his singing voice was something special and a real gift from GOD. This is a great loss for musicians all over the world. May God bless Jim Boyd, his family and the entire Colville tribe.
the first CD I bought was Reservation Blues and I had to find out who was the voice behind these heart chilling songs. Jim Boyd has been a primary part of the music I consider to be precious life changing and valuable, not to mention beautiful. I am just heartbroken about this news, but grateful that he has left so much behind. RIP Jim. Now you are truly free
Just discovered Jim's music a year after his passing, A Colville sister at a Blackfeet Sundance gave out some posters of his as part of the give away after it finished yesterday. Sad I didn't discover him while he was among us. Would have loved to hear him rock a hand drum in ceremony, Creator will keep him singing among the spirits forever i am sure. Prayers for his family and those who knew him, a good man walks at Creators side much too soon.... and his music still lives and spreads among the People.
Jim Boyd was not just a singer and song writer. He was also a really good lead guitar player. This earned him the respect of guitar players worldwide. Playing lead guitar requires skill and a lot of practice. Jim Boyd knew the fret board very well. He knew the art of the guitar solo. I can not say enough good things about this guy. He stood out as a great musician. I have always liked his music. I am really going to miss this guy.
First and foremost Jim Boyd was a member of the Colville tribe and a tribal councilman who worked for the best interest for his people. Jim always had a radiating smile and kind words to share, just damn beautiful inside and out. He was a loving husband father uncle nephew cousin an friend to many. Rest in Peace my friend your missed by many
