this is a really pro restore job ! I mist the ''80'' all of my friends add this kind of bikes,,,with there own personality...more then now I belive ! My friend add the 1000 Honda like you ! Me I start with Yamaha XS 1100 red win square gaz tank, then change for Suzuki GS 1100 e black square tank..the first 16 valves. then FJ 1100 Yamaha...The Kawasaki GPZ red , Then Suzuki Rg 500 Gama, then Suzuki GSX-R 1100 1986...it was my last one. and now 30 years later I have a project of CX 500 Honda cafe racer....not for speed as you can see ! But I would love to have a Suzuki 1100 1982 with new componants forks wheels...and the sound of a 4 cylinders...so strong ! Nice bike !
my mate let me ride his, never got out of first gear,no license but it was a beatiful thing you knew it was an animal It too was an import but from Canada your build is very tastfully blended with old and new,its very easy to see why the 1200 bandit was so successful dont ever sell it!
I just drove my 82 GS 1100EZ the other day. It is rough it needs a restoration mainly the upper end and carbs. In heavy winds it got about 24 mpg US the other day. rear sprocket is too large, great for wheelies but not good on freeway. I look forward to tinkering with it soon. It also needs help with carburation. Never set up properly with stage 3 kit and so it doesn't pull smoothly.
Thanks - A great bike that sounds & looks great. I'm a big fan of bikes from the 70's & 80's. I will be posting other classics I have in the next few weeks.

@@Trumphet68 hello I have the same 82 gs 1100 e. My question is the Oberon signal lights. Are they plug and play? Did you have yo buy anything else f or them to work? Answer would be greatly appreciated... Thanks
Yuji Cobayashi The Hayabusa engine is a completely different engine, very "industrial looking", with lots of ancillary components...many of these components are essentialy "tacked on" & not prone to removal or relocating. It could be done of course but would require lots of fabrication to get it to "look right".
This GS was a labor of love.. Very OUTSTANDING ❤
Beautiful, this bike is a thing to own and cherish
My favorite era for motorcycles. The 80's
The best bike ever built. We had these back in the day when you had to build, not buy, your hot rod bike.
I know this video is years old but I had to say that it is one seriously handsome motorcycle. Very envious.

Nice work guys. I had the 83 version.
Great looking bike! Must handle like a dream...
Quality. Great execution. May I ask how ef/e oil cooler was mounted to frame? Doing this to my '83 ed

Hermosa! Un sueño
the katana was also a nice bike....
😃Excellent
Love the music lmao 😂
Love the bike 👍
Timeless Beautifull. What do you think about Kein Flat ? Or Mikuni ?
What size jets are you running
Did you have to repaint, if so what is the paint code for the tank
Do you do rebuilds?
Beautiful~I have one

❤❤❤
As nice as it has been.
How difficult was it to convert the swing arm, forks, wheels and lines over? I just bought a 83 same color and everything bone stock 15k miles
The pro's did the conversion - Just doing the finishing touches on my Thruxton with usd forks also.
I can get you a complete conversation if interested
The kit if interested
Conversion is not too tough I woukd think. Just new bearings and spacers really.
In 1-year this unit will be 40-years old. Unmodified. 175mph+ by empirical data. No time to look down and verify after that but close to 200mph...
Do you have a paint code for that??
Awesome bike brother. What front end did you use?
In the video he said it was a gsxr 1000 front end
Nice bike but that shaking camera things doesn't work.
It's not helpful and makes it hard to see the details.
Also annoying AF.
Just an FYI.
Is this bike in nz
It is - I owned for a short while here in Wellington until I sold it on to someone else down in Dunedin
Ive now sold it & now lives in Dunedin NZ

Nice bike but annoying video. Try stabilizing it.
Nice bike - terrible video - jumping around is very distracting
Yeah i know, youtube virgin uploader until this - Hopefully my next video's uploaded shortly will amaze you ;)

Video jiggles way to much..
Change the engine Hayabusa.

Sold bike and nearly have the Thruxton done with usd forks.
