Thank you for making it a proper "budget" video so many influencers don't understand what "budget" really is. Those of us that are out of work because of lockdown- seasonal workers, freelancers and so on just don't have the money to blow on what some see as "budget" products. Btw that lippy really suits you !
I love elf, reminds me a bit of boots 17 when I was a teenager. It's so handy to be able to try a new lipstick or eyeshadow colour without spending a lot of money.
Firstly, you look bloody amazing for 58. Secondly, thank you so much for introducing me to hyaluronic acid for skincare - previously I'd only had it injected to support the cartilage in my knee. It's made my poor mask wearing lockdown skin feel so good, and I won't stop using it now. My skin is combination, but the hyaluronic seems to be normalising it. I think I was stripping it too much before. Much love, and thanks again. Xx
I loved the gin and tonic library fragrance! I loved the thunderstorm one too that smelled like petrichor, used to wake me up. I think they were in boots? I might need to order the paperback one, i adore the smell of old books and i am guilty of sniffing in a library!
Your riff - or “theory”-on the mascaras high st vs expensive explains so much to me! I thought it was my imagination that the pricy versions tended to take longer to kick in whereas the high street ones work from day one! Thank you! I thought it was my imagination for so long!
I bought the wet garden Library of Fragrance from Boots years ago - they definitely need to bring them back - they have once called Kitten fur that I want
Hi Nadine, love your videos....you're my skincare go to 😁 Library of fragrance used to be stocked in Boots....I think they disappeared a yr or 2 ago......salt air is one my favs......they seriously need to come back to uk!!!!
Thanks very much for your videos Nadine, they are super helpful! Just wondering what you would advise for taking care of our fragrances? I know not to keep them in sunlight, so they are in a drawer but anything else?
The Library of Fragrances was in Boots Nadine. Absolutely loved their perfumes. They correspond to a lot of candle scents that are out there. Paperback is often called ‘Biblioteque’ (apologies my spelling in French is often rubbish these days) in candle scents and it is gorgeous.
The reason the lip products smell the same is probably because l'oreal owns maybelline; as well as cerave, garnier, it cosmetics, laroche posay, and more. Google their subsidiary companies.
I have a few of the little ELF eyeshadow palettes ($3!!!) and they are SUPERB! They last 12+ hrs when used with an eye primer and are seriously gorgeous, wearable shades. My local grocery store in the US has an ELF kiosk that I can't resist :-)
Your fragrance reviews are so good. What about a home fragrance review? Would be great to include some things for people who are sensitive to fragrances to. I am not sure what ingredient sets my sinuses off with some fragrances and they don’t always list ingredients so it’s difficult to know, but I think that would be really interesting. At the moment I am enjoying a Moroccan Amber reed diffuser (I think by Nest), but I haven’t dipped my toe into many of these. One thing I have to be sensitive of is the other people I share the house with. Not everyone appreciates the same fragrances
You are always so interesting and informative. Because I trust you I try your suggestions and.. they work! I'm going to try these fragrances now, why not? Thanks Nadine.
Just great, thank you. Your content, knowledge and presentation style is just consistently brilliant. I trust you, you make me laugh and I learn loads. Doesn’t get said enough. Thank you 💅🏼🙏🏼💋
thanks Nadine I love The Ordinary it's not full of crap, you can also buy vit b powder food grade on Amazon and Ebay, eat it and apply to your skin double wammy :)
Nadine I am olive skinned and tanned despite using factor 50 I love the sun and have been walking out in it a lot in lockdown I don’t like a foundation really at this time of year saw the skin paradise water cream in Boots and bought it as it sounded the answer use shade 04 which is really a dark tan colour love it it really feels like putting on a lovely moisturiser has quite good evening out properties for the under eyes and being 55 does not go creepy x
I’m SO excited by the niacinamide powder. I adore their niacinamide serum already. I’m so glad you said you can mix it with Hada Lobo as I was reading up about the powder and I was so confused as to what I could mix it with.
Hi Nadine, as always a great, informative video. I’m going to the high Street this week & supporting the local shops & purchasing some of your recommendations! X
Love ELF pigments are great and fantastic price point. You can try on the lip colours on their website. Adore the Zoeva brush I use it for my cream bronzer. Great video. Thanks Nadine xx
Hi Nadine, wondering if you ever tried the Floraiku perfumes at Harrod’s? I think you will LOVE them, very beautiful flacons and dark, deep fragrances!! My favorite is Sound of a Ricochet. Delicious!! P.S. ELF now has bite-sized blushes!!!
Library of Fragrance was called Demeter. My favourite were Gin & Tonic, Dirt, and Grass (Dirt and Grass mixed reminds me of how an outdoor festival smells). Sad that they were overlooked as a brand, I think Philosophy fragrances were more popular at the time. I wish they’d bring back the Stila fragrances though- creme bouquet is a nostalgic one for me during my clubbing days.
I am a convert to Superdrug, mainly because of the way they have treated customers so well the past four months. Like a human being, not a disease ridden pustule.
Niacinamide is the only difference maker in persistent hyperpigmentation from a day on the lake last year. Vitamin C just irritated it to death, but niacinamide 20% is actually slowly fading it with daily sunscreen.
Here in the mid-Atlantic of the US, temperatures are over 30 degrees for more than 30 days. How should we adapt our skincare and our skin makeup for this hot, hot weather?
Hi Nadine, I think you’re absolutely brilliant and enjoy your vlogs, posts, lives, etc 🖤. I have a Vlog wish-topic request: Facial hair products and procedures (e.g. shaving, dermaplaning, IPL, etc) I have peach fuzz over my face, likely accentuated by PCOS, that annoys me. My hair is very fine and blond but is longer than I’m comfortable/capable of ignoring. I’ve now had dermaplaning a few times and enjoy the result. I occasionally see discussion of women regularly shaving their face. Is this common for peach fuzz, or for better suited to courser hair issues? I’m trying to weigh my options and budget choices long term. Could you review facial hair management options, and what may work best for who? Thanks for your time and consideration! Kind thanks :) -Lori
The Library of Fragrance were in Boots for a while, I don't think they did so well. I often saw them on clearance and then they disappeared entirely. They aren't 5 euros each either; they are 20EUR for the bottle size you have (30ml) it's the samples sizes that are 5EUR (they are 5ml)
Nadine - just been watching your delightful chat with Stephen - you know what’s better than urea? Urea + lactic acid - it’s in Compeed foot cream and it’s far better than Flexitol. You’ll love it.
Am definitely going to try the L’Oreal Paradise BB cream. Have been using the mascara which although doesn’t smudge, does flake a lot, which with wearing contact lenses is not ideal for me, but I do like the effects on lashes. Your hair is looking great btw, what shampoo are you using? xx
These budget vids are great. To me £9.99 for a lip product is still expensive - I'm becoming like my dad was, expecting prices to remain static across my lifetime!
Hi Nadine, love all your videos and igtv’s. Just wanted to know where in you routine would you put niacinamide when using LRPosay vitamin C? Thankyou 👍
I've been really enjoying Elf's skincare products too. Some really clean ingredients and nice formulations. They are definitely my favourite drugstore brand these days.
I loved the Insta chat you had with Dr Anjali Mahto. What a lovely, smart and funny woman. You too, of course! I’m 47 and have dry, crepey skin around my eyes too, and I also suffer from chronic hayfever - which has been shocking this year (it’s Winter in Australia atm). I know I shouldn’t rub my eyes, but it’s almost impossible not to. Sometimes I want to rip them out. I rarely wear mascara as a result of how irritated my eyes usually are. Do you have a mascara that stays put despite rubbing? Thanks for the great content you share. Also, I absolutely love it when your cat pops in to say hello - usually but first, because that’s what cats do. 🤣
Hi Nadine! Could you please recommended a good factor 50 face cream? I am 35, and have very oily skin. I want something that can sit under make up and won't pill. Thank you! 😊
Hi my love... great video as usual! I was hoping there is something to help sagging and wrinkles on my eyelids... I can't wear eye shadow and it's driving me absolutely mad!!!
I am wondering if you have found that certain products are harder to come by in the UK since Brexit? I was listening to you and Sally Hughes going on about all the products we have in the US that you can’t get, and I thought “I feel like it’s just the opposite!” - you guys get all the good stuff😃 Now I feel less envy!
I love elf! Those bitesize pallettes and lipsticks are just £3!! With regards to that loreal foundation nadine would you say its better than the max factor one that's recently come out, I have that in medium and its lovely i have to powder it down as I'm not oily in anyway but I was over glowy and just wondered what your thoughts were please...also thank you so so much for your in depth tutorials and advice regarding skincare, over the last month I've overhauled my skincare and using the ordinary buffet along with their vitamin f serum that's got a high vitamin c content along with superdrugs b range day and night creams no3 for signs of ageing etc (I'm 44) and my skin has never looked so great! Its helping with the hyperpigmentation and sun damage on my face and smoothing everything out beautifully xx
Jo Bawden I love that Max Factor foundation, I bought it Caroline Barnes recommendation. I’m dry and I find it a bit greasy so I powder it with a Beauty Pie powder. It’s really lovely though and you can get some decent coverage with it.i find its better with a more gel texture moisturiser, I’m using Clinique oil free dramatically different with vitamin c which works quite well (I’m using this moisturiser up so not sure what I’ll use then lol)
OMG, when is The niacinamide launching in Canada, Nadine, any idea? Edit: launches at Deciem on the 4th. I’m still waiting for an email alert! I love the l-ascorbic powder I use it regularly. They launched the salicylic acid & charcoal mask after Brandon passed, but he was probably behind that product.

“Stripper look”-I love it! You’re so real!
Ooh yes please do a look with the brick eyeshadows.
Nadine: I’m passionate about budget skincare.
Me: I’m passionate about Nadine Baggott.
I wish we'd had this 20 years ago. It would have really helped.
second that!
My skin HATES niacinamide 😢
Mine goes to hell by hyaluronic acid. Closes my pores immediately. Rather stay dry.
Then combine that with Jo Jones! Heaven!
Nadine, I’m digging the Deirdre Barlow glasses!!!
I luv the smell of books. Not heard of that scent company. Very intrigued x
I was today years old when I found out elf stood for “eyes, lips, face” 🤯
Ditto...
Well I never knew that.
Also, MAC stands for "Makeup Art Cosmetics"... 😎
@@GMW.artist
Didn't know that.. anymore 😁😁😁👍😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Same...
I loved the gin and tonic library fragrance! I loved the thunderstorm one too that smelled like petrichor, used to wake me up. I think they were in boots? I might need to order the paperback one, i adore the smell of old books and i am guilty of sniffing in a library!
I remember philosophy doing the vitamin c powder with the tiny spoon probably 16 yrs ago.
For those in the USA, Library of Fragrance is known as Demeter Fragrance.
And I'm wondering how I never heard of them before!
I agree with Nadine....delicious and unique fragrances and they are a steal. I find them at TJ Maxx/Marshall's in the US.
I have Demeter's "Wet Garden" fragrance and I love it!!
Your riff - or “theory”-on the mascaras high st vs expensive explains so much to me! I thought it was my imagination that the pricy versions tended to take longer to kick in whereas the high street ones work from day one! Thank you! I thought it was my imagination for so long!
Thex for the brilliant tip of e.l.f, my 12-year old steals my makeup..I'm going to collect e.l.f for her...lovely colours
Great video,,Nadine which shade did you use for the tinted water cream please ..
I have never liked a designer mascara. Max factor master piece, along with rapid lash serum.
I bought the wet garden Library of Fragrance from Boots years ago - they definitely need to bring them back - they have once called Kitten fur that I want
Hi Nadine, love your videos....you're my skincare go to 😁
Library of fragrance used to be stocked in Boots....I think they disappeared a yr or 2 ago......salt air is one my favs......they seriously need to come back to uk!!!!
Nadine~ In the states we call it elf (like a Santa helper) not Eyes Lip Face
Amy Daisy We do in the UK too - Nadine is the only person I’ve ever come across that calls it eyes lips face 😂😂
I remember shu umera! Loved their cleansing oil
Shu is such a great brand, luckily in Canada it is still readily available.
Agree, his cleansing oil & hair oil are standout products for sure.
A L how lucky are you! I haven’t been able to get it in the US for quite some time. I used to stock up at Barney’s (and well; that’s gone too)
@@kimberleestern I've been totally gutted that I can't get the cleansing oil anymore!
Carla La H what cleansing oil are you using now? I use DHC deep cleansing oil
Nadine what colour do you use in that foundation please xx
Boots stocked Library Of Fragrance a few years ago and discontinued them. That might be why the website won't load the products.
I have the Sunshine fragrance and I love it ❤❤❤
And in the winter I layer Fireplace and Gingerbread. Cozy.
I bought the max factor primer in blue because of the beauty hags, now it’s my favorite mascara! So easy to remove.
Just ordered the vicereversa patches. Thank you for the recommendation ❤

Nadine what is your ring on your right hand, it's beautiful
Please can you a routine with products for under eye 👀 dark circles Indian skin.
I got a library of fragrance from TK Maxx a couple of years ago. It was lovely
Love the idea of library of fragrance, I'm already searching for Xmas gifts. Thanks Nadine loads of great tips as usual!!xx
ELF eyeshadows are really nice. Very creamy for a powder.
You've replaced your Tom Ford glasses, the new ones are fab, what are they?
