    I am a total beauty addict. Adore my collection of skin care - the primark moisture lotion is lovely, not greasy but very comfortable. Yes it smells a bit sickly but it does wear off. I bought it on a whim, not a replacement for my favourite brands but perfectly ok. Also my local primark has sold out of microfiber clothes! I told them it was all your fault

    I just love your new to the market roundups! Thank you! I don’t know if it’s available to you; Vanicream came out with a new product! It’s a daily facial moisturizer and it’s divine! It’s got glycerine, squalane, Ceramides and it’s so lovely. Definitely try to get a hold of that one anyone in the US if it’s unavailable where you’re at Nadine!🥰

    I've heard that HA without an occlusive can be quite drying because it pulls the moisture from the air, but if you are a dry climate it pulls it from the skin. Like licking your lips, it hydrates but then dries it worse than before.

    • @Rottimail

      All companies forget about a dry climate. I could be a billionaire if I could devise products to be used in a dry climate. I think retinol is the answer.

      She uses a smoothing filter unfortunately- you can tell if you look at her recent content vs. content from a few months ago. It's sad really as I watch her because she's my age and is therefore relatable, but she feels the need to smooth out imperfections...that implies that imperfections are bad and should be hidden!!

      @@eddy3796 she never used to, it's only been in the last couple of months. Go look at some of her videos from a few months ago...'How to be Zoom ready' is a good example vs her latest video. You can even tell from the thumbnail 🤷🏻‍♀️

    • @eddy3796
      @eddy3796 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sonya Harper well I’ve just checked and that zoom call video is not fully HD ifs 720 compared to 1080. Maybe you’re right and she’s changed her mind. I don’t think there is anything wrong with it per se. Then quality is somewhat affected but I thought the other day that if I were to ever TH-cam (not gonna happen) I would deffo want some compensating filter.
      Otherwise her lighting isn’t as bright or her camera setup has changed.
      I suppose whether or not she addresses it or ignores it will be a good test.

    Yes I think you are responsible for them selling out. I was in the UK last year and bought a 3 pack from York. I wanted more and must have gone into nearly all the primary in England to buy more to take home. I finally found a store with some and bought a dozen packs. I’ve given them to family and friends and everyone loves them. We need primary in Australia please

    • @NadineBaggott
      @NadineBaggott  4 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Kirsty Macfarlane all animal testing in the U.K./EU/US is illegal but if a brand sells in to China is grants a license for possible animal testing - in reality it’s only done on hair dye, some shampoos and some body products - and is actually about money making not safety. The big companies are working hard to change this and outlaw all animal testing globally. To be cruelty free you must also have no animal extracts ie no beeswax or honey etc. This is contentious as many do not believe honey etc to involve cruelty to bees. On another note the logos featured require companies to pay to use them and so many see them as divisive. There is not a single independent non profit agency that monitors the term cruelty free. In other words this is not a straightforward issue ... sadly

      Nadine Baggott Thank you for the informative explanation. You are right, these things with certification are always complicated, in other fields as well.

    • @kirstymacfarlane1620
      @kirstymacfarlane1620 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@NadineBaggott I know a lot about animal testing and everything that I use now, down to my dishwasher tablets are cruelty free. Not everything is vegan but that's my next step, finding products that are both but cruelty free is my priority. A lot of companies are making major changes which is great but companies like nars or Avon for example went backwards and started testing on animals so they can sell in China. I really don't get that and you're right, it's just greed. All companies could be cruelty free if they withdrew from countries where it's required by law, if they really wanted to. There's also a lot of countries making changes to ban animal testing as well so things are moving in the right direction. I just think it's ridiculous that it still goes on after all these years and they know that in vitro testing is more accurate. In my book there's no excuse for animal abuse, cruelty or testing in any setting. I know that, it's either unilever or p&g, are making huge efforts with regards to abolish animal testing. When dove became cruelty free I was so happy because I love their products! We'll just need to see what the future holds and maybe people will begin to respect animals a lot more. Thanks Nadine and I didn't know the US were cruelty free, I've had some nasty responses from Americans regarding animal testing. Why do people have to be so horrible? xx

    • @stepholiver6981
      @stepholiver6981 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Kirsty Macfarlane the only thing about Dove, I’ve learned this week, is that they are stripping palm forests and heavily impacting orang Utah’s, which you could argue doesn’t make them cruelty free. It’s all so complex but I am not buying any more Dove products until they address the palm oil issue. 🙁

    • @kirstymacfarlane1620
      @kirstymacfarlane1620 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@stepholiver6981 I thought they had addressed that issue a while ago. Oh well, that'll be the last bar of dove soap that I buy. Like I said, my next step is to make sure everything I buy is vegan as well as cruelty free, because products can be vegan but not cruelty free! It's not an easy task and takes a lot of research. I was on the bus and they've started building new houses in an area that was fields and all I could think was, there's so many homeless people but let's build more private houses and take away wild life's territory while we're at it! The human race is destroying this planet and what we don't realise is that the animals will be fine when we're gone because they were here before us and thrived! Thanks for the info Steph

    Hi nadine I have three lots of micro fibre cloths ! Perfect ! Yes primark ! , I have started using missha and it’s wonderful. I can’t recommend highly enough, before this product I used Estée Lauder night repair now for the last three months I have been using missha essence and night repair ampule and I love it , my skin loves it too more importantly, also my purse it’s half the price of Estée Lauder which I have used for forty years but with a new formulation Estée Lauder price has gone through the roof and I can’t afford to pay almost a hundred pounds for my night serum , missha costs 40 £ , so yes and after three months my skin has actually improved , I bought spare for my back up drawer along with the essence ,
    Please give it a try but you need to give it a length of time . Believe me I have always used Estée Lauder all my adult life , now I can’t afford the cost but believe me Missha it’s fabulous,
