personally I think Sushang is better in some aspects especially with timing things, plus killing something can sometimes be impossible while breaking a dude almost always is(looks at the stupid gate boss)
OMG. My first main dps in genshin was Yanfei, and in HSR it's Sushang. And I pulled Eula in genshin, and in HSR I'll pull another ice character 5 star to be my next main dps. Why is it so similar for me 💀
Agree with others, she's a budget Seele and my main DPS. Can get three attacks in a row with her and pretty well shred health bars. Stacked with all kinds of attack buffs so the longer the fight, the harder she hits.
Also, I would say her E1 is kinda mandatory. The Skill Point save is a god send and is the main reason I use her over other characters. If you can Break a boss immediately after it's turn, the amount of damage she can do in that time window is pretty nuts.

When I started playing Honkai, Sushang was the first character that I ever got from pulls.... Recently when I was trying to get Blade, I've got 3-4 copies of Sushang before finally hitting this Sharp Edge-lord XD
I'll come back to this when I build her because after switching the MC to Preservation I don't have a physical DPS anymore. Natasha doesn't really count so my only option is Sushang. I didn't originally build her because I have barely any Hunt Light Cones, but I might have some now. Thanks for the guide.
As for her Eidolons...so E1 is already a massive upgrade, E2 is nice to have, E4 tho while it doesn't increase the Bleed DoT (as it's independent of Break Effect) the Break Dmg still does increase by a lot (Physical together with Fire deal the most Break dmg) and E6 is amazing as it makes her into a speed demon
Should be noted that the Bleed proc does increase with Break Effect (not sure where this misunderstanding initially came from). Doing it myself just now, ~55% Break Effect the bleed proc on an enemy hit ~1600, with 87%, on the same enemy, the Bleed proc does ~2000. The damage increase aligns with the increase in break effect %. Aside from that, really liked the video, and gonna look up your other videos now!
I will say that Subscribe for More does give her a unique ultility. While her Ult is up you Skill, Ult, and you will be moved forward to skill again. It's surprisingly VERY strong in that fact and I honestly do recommend it as this playstyle really fits Sushang. While Swordplay is definitely a good alternative, don't discount Subscribe For More and what it can do for a good Sushang
alright, this video is already worth it, I did not know it was garanteed to proc the extra dmg if you broke the toughness bar, i though it had to already be broken, that's a game changer lmao

I mean, yea. That’s the thing about HSR compared to Genshin is that every character can be good if you build them right. That’s the nature of a turn based RPG over an open world. Even Herta has her niche!
Benched my E1 yanqing for sushang 💗💗 She leads my 2nd team as dps while seele is my 1st team dps. Love sushang so much she is THE cutest!!! Her kit is great imo
dont wanna be that type of person butt yanqing and sushang pairs pretty well (i’ve heard you can pair her with ice characters like gepard or yanqing) yanqing is pretty strong if you build him right too! though sushang can deal more break effect because she’s a physical
I'm a relatively new player that started during JY's banner and I basically dumped all my free pulls in it, I ended up with an E4 Sus and lost two 50/50s to the same damn light cone Sleep Like the Dead seems good on her all things considered as it helps my proc basically infinite crits on her and lets me sleep at night knowing i lost two 50/50s She's a whole Kentucky Fried MONSTER when her passive crits with ult buff. I don't even use damage supports on my team and she dwarfs some Seele users I've seen
Now with SW out and since I don't have bronya, I'm thinking of running SW, Seele, Natasha and Sushang to make breaking essentially guarunteed. Probably not the most skill point efficient though
She's my secondary DPS, it's taken a little bit of effort considering I can't fully focus on her since I have Seele, but she's currently strong enough to defeat a few memory of chaos pretty fast
nice guide i got her E6 on Jing yuan banner while trying to get A SINGLE March and i feel like it would be a waste not to use her now... i ain't got Bronya (T_T) and Tingyun is already being used in my other team so i am kind of lost... for now i use Asta - Welt and i have no idea who to put next.. :P
Yesterday i hit 80k with her in moc having 2 trotter debuffs on the enemy. She’s great if you have stacks and support her like you would w any other dps 👍
The base increase for subscribe for more is 48% correct? Its the extra 48% percent (bringing you to 96%) that you don't get if her energy isn't max level. So you still get 48% for Attack and Skill regardless of her energy level? Is that correct or did they word the light cone incorrectly? I'm genuinely curious as this is my first HoYo game and I find this all very confusing. I'm enjoying your content by the way.
You are correct. At S5, you will unconditionally get 48% basic atk and skill DMG. Then you will ONLY get an additional 48% basic atk and skill damage at max energy.

god damn i'm free to play and i love her design, kit and everything about her but hoyoverse cursed my account with literally all the best dps 5 stars clara+ her lightcone, yanqing (at e1), seele+ her lightcone and himeko and i literally am crying over having to build most of them along with some other 4 stars for moc and i really want to but i gotta going with the meta would make my life literally 10x easier
whay is no one mentioning the sleep like the dead lightcone for her. honestly yeah it isnt that good but its good enough giving flat crit damage increase and if you dont crit increases your crit chance by alot as well granted it can only happen once every 3 turns but still
You NEED e1, not that she doesn't work without it but the improvement is like night and day. To the point if you don't have it, it might be better to pick a different enemy weakness to focus on. It's something worth to be way further into the eidolons, by some miracle they put it as the first one, you just HAVE to take the chance to get it.

She deserve for 4 star her combat style fight is ... weird as a 5 star hunt card. Remind me closer a little bit dang han style. For me is a is breaker hunt ulti max dps and break skill. 2 parts set for break and 2 for physical dmg . Stats crit dmg,crit rate, atk break effect. Do not go in defense because as hunt is pointless. Lightcone for dps/crit. As a card is very usefull and worth to build in overall. +friendly for f2p why because 90% chance 4star card event banner is practicly sushang so idelons are easly to obtain.❤

You are deeply underselling "Subscribe for More." First of all, it provides a 24% Basic Attack and Skill damage buff ALWAYS, which alone is higher than ANY other non-conditional buff on 4 star Light Cones. It doesn't work on Ultimates but her Ultimate hits like wet noodle compared to her Skill and it's main purpose is to buff her Skill. 2nd, she's actually the only character who can take advantage of the conditional on "Subscribe for More." Every other character pretty much wants to use their Ultimate ASAP but Sushang always wants to do it after her turn to get the full benefit of the 100% turn advance. This means there will be occasions where she will be attacking with a full Ultimate gauge. Granted, this conditional buff is still pretty lame.
I called her as budget Jing Yuan, because she is easily obtainable you can go for her E6 Eidolon. I mean not as f2p. But still. It far easier to get than getting Jing Yuan E6

I fell in love with sushang she is the 4 star seele and she comes in handy her break is really effective and awesome damage. One of my fav 4 stars now

it is fine on her... CDMG is really good, you will just need to micromanage the crit rate bonus on the lightcone.

You don’t need Eidolon for sushang, she is ready op and a f2p friendly
E1 already makes her insanely busted against weakness broken enemies which is ideal.
