    After a broken neck, two spine surgeries, and a perpetually breaking heart, I have discovered that pain is a choice. God put every single thing on this planet we will ever need to nourish and heal our very fragile and majestic bodies. You are the first, and maybe only Herbalist/Doc who has ever been able to explain to my old cloudy mind what's what. Thank you. I'm going foraging!

      Hmmm I mean if you could choose pain or not pain you would always choose no pain. Pain is a warning ...its there to make sure you don't move your neck in a way that would break it. Or keep you from moving your broken neck wrong. It's information. You don't choose information. The information is there. Whether you choose to ignore that information or to listen to it is a choice. Lots of people are so scared of pain they don't listen to it at all. That's a choice. But the information is not a choice.

    I saw you on Homesteading Family and I’m so thankful I did. I recently decided to look into medicinal herbs and food foraging. I added some herbs to my garden this year. I’ve been searching for a good book on these subjects but just wasn’t satisfied with the ones I found. I will be ordering your book soon. I watched a handful of your videos and find them very informative and entertaining. Appreciate your faith.

    Buying teasel today for my occipital neuralgia and nerve pain in shoulder and neck. As soon as the first picture of teasel came up, I had a strong sense I needed to know more and then you said the same thing in your talk. To add to it, I watched this the same day that I was supposed to finally have occipital nerve ablasion but felt a strong sense to postpone last week, like the Lord was saying "give me more time."

      It's so good. When my mom had bad kidneys I massaged her legs and found spots in her legs thatw ere so sensitive. Turns out they were the kidney meridian points all the way up her legs bam bam bam she had sore spots. I had a problem with my liver and I found spots again all over my body and looked them up ..liver meridian! Those Chinese were onto something. Sometimes I am on a walk and I take a notion to pick a plant for no reason.. a Berry ir a flower.. I take it home looknit up and it turns out its for the headache I have or the toothache or the sore knee. It's crazy how plants speak to us. It sounds like bs but it is not. It's sounds like old wives tales but the more and more I look the more I find science is only catching up to our grandparents and their old ways. My mom is in her 70s and reversed her type 2 diabetes with different foods and herbs... amazing!

    • @Padraigp
      @Padraigp 21 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @HomeGrownHerbalist awesome! It's good to check first in case it's something poisonous too ..I once mistook that little Berry plant... has leaves first then later grows a little stick of berries grows in woods... highly poisonous... I thought it was wood sorrel and I took a tiny bite and spat it out thank god... but after doing that my mouth was not happy amd I also became super sensitive to it to the point I touched it again and got the tingle on my fingers... like a tiny taste of it had made my body super sensitive to things. So now I always triple check or more to make sure. Cos sometimes the internet is also wrong and you can't trust one source without triangulation to be sure. My son found channelled recently and every second website we looked at gave the opposite wrong info. Thankfully we spent the time and didn't just listen to the Internet. Literally could have made us very sick.

    No... Five people is not a statistically significant thing, but the fact that you helped make five peoples lives better is significant!!! Great work my friend! I know this may sound like mumbo jumbo to you, but magick, intension, (and positive vibration) is a real thing that has real effects and just by having the intention to heal someone while preparing the medicine makes a bigger difference than you may know. Try making your medicines with as much love as you can muster and remember to put on your favorite "feel good" music while you make them. It will make a gigantic difference. Love+intention heals!

      Good point. I see both sides of that. Nothing is either/or, except in the imaginary world called Flatland. Chronic and relentless pain in and of itself can indirectly kill. It couldn't hurt to try some of this mans suggestions. It may help. I wish you the best. I am 72 and have leaned heavily on herbal medicines in my adult life with good results. I am an adult disabled child with severe bone amd joint problems dating from early childhood. My first knee surgery was a joint replacement surgery done at age 11. I DO know and understand how devastating chronic pain can be. ❤ There have been many more surgeries etc during my life. Dont blow him off totally because of that one remark. I still use herbs almost daily with good results, and am mostly pain free now without the horribly addictive opiates and oxycontin etc that ultimately with overuse CREATE awful pain.

    I acquired Lyme Disease in Oklahoma. The Army had brought deer in to stock a game preserve on an ammo plant. ( McAllister, Ok)
    * Many diagnosed diseases and conditions, perhaps 50, occur simultaneously with Lyme Disease where LD is the root cause. MS & even Alzheimers, can be due to LD.
    LD is extremely difficult to diagnose. Tests are often inconclusive. I was diagnosed by a Lyme researcher at Walter Reed Army Medical Research Center or I'd never have known. Most doctors refuse to acknowledge Lyme, or are not trained in Lyme. (I was in advanced stage when diagnosed). After a couple rounds with tetracycline/ doxicycline, I decided to treat with herbs and vitamins... or I might not have lived. Several herbs you mentioned in this video sound like they may help me. I still have arthritis, and a few nerve pain related disorders like Bell's palsy, and it waxes and wanes. I have bladder pain and think its related to having Lyme. It never really goes away completely in most patients, but Im doing very well. I was diagnosed at 35, and turn 70 this year. I walk well, most days. Thank you... I am going to try several of your chosen plants.

    I’m here to let you know that teasel root tincture has been used for those suffering from lymes disease for decades now. I can’t tell you exactly what year it was but I’m going to guess at about 2014 a friend had contracted Lymes (when she and her hubs had camped in Missouri) and she asked me to help her source teasel for making tincture. She said that it would stimulate the spirochete to emerge and die.

    So I happened to find Blue Skull Cap growing on the edge of my woods late spring and was super excited when I read it was good for restless leg syndrome and for sleep. I made a hydrosol from it and started with just a teaspoon at night. I was asleep in 5 minutes and no leg pain. Only issue was getting up at 3 am to go pee. I felt like I was drunk and was stumbling around. The next night, same thing. So the 3rd night i reduced my intake to1/2 teaspoon. Feel asleep good, no leg pain but morning took my a while to gathet my wits. I may have to reduce it to 1/4 teaspoon to see how that works. Great plant!

Thank you, I will both be shopping in your online store as well as looking to grow these plants in the future.

    Fascinating! I saw you on Homesteading family - you talked about cramp bark and your daughter getting some food stuck in her oesophagus My husband has a severe problem with Achalasia and swallowing food can be a nightmare (and very painful), I ordered cramp bark tincture and persuaded hime to use it today (he is not fond on anything that is not straight medical intervention). Anyway - it helped (that he acknowledged this is a minor miracle!). Not saying he is a convert but will certainly be working on it. Is it better to use a spray of take a teaspoon of the tincture? Will certainly be investigating your school Thank you.

    I love Teasel so much! I was lifting and working my muscles so hard that when I went to go to sleep that day I couldn't because every muscle in my body was aching. I don't usually do this but I had a dead line and pushed it. So I tossed and turned and remembered that I had Doc's Teasel tincture in my apothecary and it took a couple minutes to activate but it was like a miracle on how well that stuff works! I just want to thank Doc Jones and his crew for all they do. What an incredible herb.

    I've really enjoyed finding and have started listening to your videos. My friends would tell you I love my weeds. This video in particular interested me because it was about painkillers. I live in rural Western Kentucky and was raised on natural things as much as possible. Mama didn't take us to the doctor until she had exhausted all the other things she had been raised to do. My great grandmother was called a witchdoctor. Nothing to do with Wiccan practices or the devil; that's just what medicine women were called in our rural area. I wondered if you would mention wild lettuce; that's my weed of choice. And another plant that isn't so much a pain killer as it is a numbing agent; it in my opinion only leaves cloves in the dust; is spilanthes; the toothache plant, though it does much more. It's not local and is hard to grow here, since it's from South America I think. If you haven't heard of it it's well worth checking out. I'm really looking forward to watching the rest of your videos.

    This is such a great video! I'm a permaculturalist and am planning to plan medicinal plants on our land and study herbal medicine (when I eventually finish my masters degree!). And with great synchronicity, we have a ton of teasel on our land already, and my husband has had a lot of sciatic nerve pain since wrenching his back last year, so that is going to be my first attempt at a medicinal tincture! Thanks so much :)

    • @cleonawallace376
      @cleonawallace376 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow another synchronous cross over... in another channel I follow there is a chat today about gut health, and especially leaky gut. Seems like white sage would be good for this too? And sorry, one final question... which of these, or any others, would you recommend for migraines? I suffer from menstrual migraines and also tension headaches, which seem to be getting worse and I near menopause. I heard of a Chinese medicine mix which proved helpful in a trial, but I'm based in rural Italy and have no access to a Chinese herbal doctor.

      Margaret, get him off of every single prescription! They are not designed to cure but to keep him dependent on them. God promised in Psalm 103:3 to heal all our diseases. We need to trust that God is not a liar but will actually heal every single solitary disease. That includes metastatic breast cancer. My friend is healed of it, as she trusted God!!! Margaret, trust our Heavenly Father to show you the herbs to use, if necessary, to help your husband until every single cell, bone, tendon, etc. is HEALED and WHOLE! God bless you as you trust God for this!!!

    Your remark about nerve pain being a "habit" in body's memory reminds me of the Mirror Miracle reported in TNY and many other sources: veterans with fantom pain had no relief where the missing limb had been severed. The neurologist asked a patient with missing arm to hold a portable standing mirror in front of that area (say right arm). Now slant the mirror so you can wave the left arm and see that reflection in the mirror. Pain gone instantly! Explanation was that the brain is stuck in the moment of injury forever, unless it is "told" that the injury is past. Not always successful, but what a blessing to use natural remedies (and most of all to me: avoid medical stuff tested on animals 😔)
