The leash restriction is totally ridiculous 😡. I live between Sarasota and Venice and there is a “puppy beach” in Venice where the dogs can run and swim free. Good for you to give your girls some freedom👏

We used to live in west fl and dogs weren’t allowed on ANY beach in our county. Unfortunately we didn’t find our area to be pet friendly at all. Our kids were little when we lived there and honestly going to the beach became such a chore that we never really went unless we had family visiting us. 😂 I think most leash laws in America are because some owners are so stupid that they’ll let their big dogs off leash even though they have no control over them! I would never have our small dogs off leash just because they have terrible recall and don’t listen to us. 😂 It should be common sense, but we Americans lack that. Especially in FL. And I can say that because I was born there. 😉
