- Russian warships and a nuclear-powered submarine arrived in Cuban waters Wednesday ahead of planned military exercises. The mission in the Caribbean comes less than two weeks after the U.S. authorized Ukraine to use American weapons to strike inside Russia. CBS News national security correspondent David Martin has more on the drills.

Show of force because USA cannot intercept even 1 hypersonic missile within that range. No one can because (1) USA does not have hypersonic nuclear capable missile. (2) Even if they had it, they would not be intercepting the missile, within 90 miles of range. It is impossible. That is why show of force and that submarine is capable of firing hypersonic missile. USA would not tell u this

I was told by a Cuban woman that lives in Italy, people in Cuba cannot find a common food like rice. People got a shortage of food. The Russians, aren't going to bring any. They are running away from the Black Sea for safety reasons.!!!

I want to reassure the Americans. The flight time of an intercontinental ballistic missile with a nuclear charge from Russia to Washington is about 8 minutes. And considering that Russia has a lot of mobile complexes. This time is reduced to 3-4 minutes. The question is why should we place missiles in Cuba? I look at the news and see that the United States wants to arrange a very big war in Europe. The Pentagon thinks that we don't know who is running Europe and that he will remain safe. In the event of a major war in Europe, the United States will be the first priority target. This is my vision of the developing events .

US plutocracy would also affect the 3rd world disproportionally. And finally, environmental footprint would affect mostly nonhuman species; although humans (especially in certain regions of the 3rd world) will eventually be greatly affected as well.

There’s more to this story.. the Cubans have to cozy up with the Russians as that’s who supplies them with a lot of fuel and other necessities, one trip to Havana and it’s clear to see they struggle daily just for the bare necessities.

@@ssir5927 so I think it’s a combination of things, but mostly I believe it’s due to internal issues than US sanctions. When you visit Havana you see where the entrepreneurs are thriving, they have restaurants that have plenty of choices to choose from, staff is eager to help etc, then you go to a government run entity and it’s polar opposite. I found visiting Cuba one of the most rewarding trips I’ve ever taken, you learn about humility.

But it also leads to speculation about the asset protection offered by U.S. and NATO banking and financial products.
Financial transactions of this type are based on trust, more trust (fall) means more transactions and a plummeting of dollar valuation.
