When it is up to Yulianna I can say before listening: "This is good". Never have I been mistaken.
I could watch Yulianna perform every day - and never grow weary. I would not be surprised to learn that she is the fountain of youth.

I didnn´t like Chopin that much because I found him rather pompous. When Yuliana Avdeeva plays it with her crystal clear phrasing and her unrevialed grandiose touch, I experience Chopin in a new and great way. It remains a mystery to me why she doesn´t play in all the bog concert halls and doesn´t actually have a record deal. Triffonov, Buniatishvilli and some others are not in her class. It´s a great shame.

Beautifully played, as ususal. However, she did glide by that climax on the 6/4 chord instead of letting it breathe. (see her Chopin competition performance). Still, gotta love her.
