    Hi doc thank you for sharing, the insurance and payment for healthcare is terrible this is why we have solutions for small business owners for proactive and preventative healthcare. As a nurse we see so many people depleting life savings because they aren't as covered as they think. Thank you for sharing!

    Disclaimer on car insurance: If accident is not your fault, you should be covered.
    If the accident is considered your fault, you may or may not have coverage depending on your policy. The minimum coverage in my state doesn't cover your medical bills if you're at fault.
    idk how it works if both drivers are considered partially at fault.

    Thank you, Dr. Paul, for taking the time to educate people from a physician's perspective. Insightful!
    I was under the impression that health Insurance is typically a relief for most people. Especially, when they thoughtfully pick a plan instead of picking the cheapest thing that pops up. Insurance is meant to offset the hospital charges that are so expensive, one visit can't be paid in full out of pocket. As someone who has worked in Emergency Medicine and now Health Insurance - It's so critical to be sure everyone can understand the WHY behind all of these things so they can get on the right track.
    Also, you forgot one thing. There are private plans out there. They are much lower in price and have PPO networks with major carriers nationwide and you can actually build any type of plan you want depending on your needs. They make it like how it used to be where you have to be approved medically before you can get in. It's incredible for entrepreneurs and younger folks who shouldn't have to pay for everyone else's sicknesses.

    • @orthopedics
      @orthopedics  ปีที่แล้ว

      Classic plans can be decent off the exchange if you get a good subsidy, or if you have multiple medical problems. Otherwise better off with a legit healthshare
