Ahh right tbh making thumbnails or banners for youtube is probably the best subjects to focus on in my opinion because each time you make one you always improve on the next one. It also motivates you to learn more

It's great and easy to follow. Only a problem is that my PS does not allow me to catch a image from one subject down to another by through the title bar. I tried so many times following your video, it was just not work. If it's caused by the difference of versions? My version is ps cc 2017
阿R, should work for older versions too, try reinstalling or get a trail version of the new one and test it out
I would like to know more about the saving of a project, like png, jpeg etc. I am trying to learn to make digital papers to sell on etsy and I don’t know how to save the images and how to send images

For coming back to the project you save is PSD. For transparent background it's PNG and for smaller file sizes save it as JPEG you just press CTRL + ALT + S and select your option

Started of by making thumbnails for my Minecraft videos haha when I started back in 2012 on my (FiveFistNinja) channel then I made banners, tried doing logos after that I was doing gaming videos on gmod, gta and yeh I slowly progressed from there picking up more and more along the way

I have spent months investigating how to use photoshop and found a fantastic resource at trevs photoblueprint (look it up on google)
Good effort. But not comprehensive enough. Still searching for one that is. Adobe tutorials by ben wilkins and the like are over 20 hrs and complete. But they aren't free. Hopefully someone will upload those someday on torrents.
Your expectations are in the clouds. My effort is aimed at a more realistic audience. It's a two way system, the viewer gets free short lessons while the creator also gets something in return. If the video was a full hour course people wouldn't make it to the end, not many people have time plus most of us have a short attention span.
You are getting me wrong. To take nothing away from your efforts which are laudable enough, I was more like thinking aloud. That said, if you have access to the said tutorials, you could try replicating some of those in your own way but as methodically and step by step as possible even if shorter in length.
I am a beginner how do learn it firstly?
If I was to start again I would find a main purpose to use Photoshop for example I started with making TH-cam thumbnails. This gave Photoshop a purpose for me to use it and I started off to learn how to do simple things like adding text, applying blending options to text, resizing image, cropping and much more.
So look for a purpose that will make you use Photoshop even if it's for making memes or funny pictures. Anything to make you use it, otherwise you'll be put off everytime you open it by the amount of tools and options that appear on the screen.
Start slow and work at your own pace. Do simple tasks and work your way up learning more and more each time you open it. You've got this! :P

The resolution setting in the new image dialogue has absolutely no effect over the quality of the image on screen. If you're defining your new canvas based on pixel size (like you did), you could set the resolution to 1ppi or to 100000ppi and it would not make any difference at all. It only defines how many pixels a printer would put in every inch of paper. It will also affect the size of the ruler that can be displayed in photoshop, depending on which display resolution you've set up under units and rulers in the Preferences window, and that has to match your screen's real resolution.
☠️BLACK BARON☠️ The text cursor is totally offset in 2017 since High Sierra and Mojave. Totally annyoing boring to work with the text tool and this double cursor entry in Photoshop.
