There are some women who will find that “ma-nure” conversation stupid and a waste of time, and they’d be right. He wanted to but then she said that all of her friends warned her he wasn't good for her, and since George can never just take a L and admit someone else is right, he put both of them through this mess and one of them in the ground.
The amazing collaboration from afar between George and Elaine in this episode makes me think that they could have had a a few good dates if they had tried
all he had to do is say i gotta go see my parents, pick up something at the store, work thing, go to Jerry like he does a million times a week..... its like he wants to get caught by a woman he doesn't even like.
It's not a lie, if you believe it. So, George shouldn't tell Marisa his personal status, you know? After all would be a loooooong road till the point Marisa would become a real option. Damn fool!
Kind of a flub here in the writing: not only would it make more sense that Elaine's view on exporting vs. importing would be the opposite of Art's, but if it weren't the opposite (and she just agreed with Art about focusing on the importing), why would there be a problem in their relationship?
