Gonna look great and yes this is not the 1920s. Can really drive you crazy when I have homeowners say, use nails not screws. Now I put that topic in our design discussions showing the code. Thanks for another great video and design.
Thanks man!! It’s about 10’6” between posts and then 6’ cantilever. We always have an engineer draw our plans so I just send over the design and he tells us what the beam size needs to be and alp
Sucks they make you guys use hurricane ties for joist to beam. Here in Canada all that is required is two 3" toe nails on opposite sides of each joist into the beam.
Great video to follow the Eagles running it down the Rams throat! Especially after idiot Verse' running his yapper... maybe he was the one leaving comments about screws
I like when sean does the camera work, and dialogue behind the camera
Awesome! I feel like it’s easier for me to explain things like that, glad you’re digging it!
I love it when people who have never built ANYTHING criticize thru comments. You guys rock. Maybe Ant needs a vacation?
The comments on Facebook are by far the worst 😅😅Ant just likes to lean into the grumpy carpenter persona, he’s better than ever 😂
I would've really liked to hear what Ant said that was bleeped out! 😂
It was NSFW 😂

We literally get thousands of comments about this on IG and Facebook like no one has ever heard of a structural screw😂
Looking good guys
Another great video! Keep it up.
Appreciate the love as always my friend!
I really hope you got that structurally engineered. Enclosing the roof and adding that veneer wall is going to add a massive wind load on that thing.
Sick! So that was a 6’ cantilever, 8’ between posts, 14’ width total? Did that have to be engineered?

There will be books written about P.O.L. and the cantilever beam! A deckolatage’ for sure…..
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂 love it
How’s the shop coming along?
Finally got it ready to be set up inside…insulated and walls up, I’ll do an update video soon! I’ve been showing the progress in IG stories as well!

It definitely feels like overkill especially when the deck is only 3’ off the ground, but with the strap shot gun it goes pretty quick
Luv your work. Can you use helical piles for home additions? Say 12x12?

I like screws better
Sean are u and jared goff brothers😂
