Oh & TYSM for showing us the prices of food and events there. That way when ppl come to visit they can get an idea of how much $$ is needed to save up prior to visiting, in order to enjoy certain things that they want to do.
I definitely could have done things more budget friendly but it was my friends birthday, we went the week after mardi gras (so prices for lodging/flights were higher), and we were only there a weekend so we splurged on some meals.
I'm glad you had fun... I love when ppl come to my city and genuinely have a good time!! I'm born & raised in New Orleans so, a lot of these places just bring back so many memories!! Thank you for sharing!!
@@edenswilliams I just left there from shooting a video about 2 weeks ago 😁😁.... I'm never gone away from "HOME" too long, even though I live in LA now🥰!! Also, you're more than welcome 🤗.... #VloggersUnite 🤣🤣⚜️
@@stephaniewhitley7790 i would say Court of Two Sisters where i had brunch. They have great dinner as well. Hope you enjoyed your trip! Sorry for the late response
I was in NOLA about the same time, and did many of the same things! I love New Orleans so much, and go as often as I can. Thanks for showing all the wonderful stuff outside of the Quarter. You are a class act. Yes---you should stay in the Garden District next time. I really prefer it to the French Quarter---and felt much safer. If you don't feel comfortable at night, it's fun to explore the Quarter during the day too. Royal is fun for the shops and street music. We walked from the St. Charles streetcar down to Magazine St. just about every night. Great Air B&B's there too (ours was right on Magazine). You would love it!
Thanks so much! I would definitely go back and do that. I feel like you have to book the airbnbs sooo early in advance since barely any were available when i booked one month in advance. When did you book yours?
@@edenswilliams We booked about 3 months in advance. And I think we were lucky, it being right after Mardi Gras. I get a bit obsessed with Air B&B. I am always scrolling through, narrowing down by neighborhood, number of beds needed, etc. Even if I'm not planning a trip real soon, I'll bookmark the places I think are possibilities. You can check their reservation calendars to see if they are free around the time you want to go. Some have months blocked off---so I just keep looking!
Good for you and your 2 friends to be able to enjoy that 4-day trip. I loved that roof top scene from 13:30-14:13 the most. I can afford to travel out of town on my own, but I can never get any friends to join me even if I offer to pay. I visited New Orleans back in 2021 for 2 days and met up with 5 relatives there.
That’s why I started traveling solo! Which sucks but you learn to adjust and be happy to be able to do your own thing! Or look out for group travel trips hosted by people. Usually the only way i get to travel with friends if its for THEIR birthday like this trip.
Beautiful video ❤. Nice length, pacing is sort of fast, but a lovely snapshot of your visit ❤. Food looked down right delicious 😋😋 (minus Mr Hands digging into the buffet with his bare hand 🤢). Your outfit with the green animal print blouse and black shorts was absolutely gorgeous 🥰. Thanks for taking the time to share ❤
I LOVED 💖 your video! You observed, displayed & explained tons of exciting things to do, eat, and lodging options while in New Orleans's. Including how to get around town. Thank you for your work.💝
I appreciate your comment so much! I really tried to show everything since i didnt find videos when i was planning to help me, so i wanted other people to know everything to expect!
For first time visitors you can't possibly see New Orleans in one trip (or even 10). Pick the things you most want to see, and do that. Also, get out of the Quarter while you are there...As far as not feeling safe, you just need to be aware and know where not to go (like most any city). Around Mardi Gras is probably one of the worst times to visit. There is literally awesome food on every corner and you don't need to spend $160 on brunch if you choose not to. That's a choice, not a requirement. Am glad you had good luck w/you stay, typically I would avoid all Sonder properties, regardless.
@@edenswilliams I would also encourage you to allow some time to wander. You can often find all kinds of hidden gems well off the beaten tourist track, just be safe. In Nola you can also explore via the buses, street cars or Ferry as well. e And....don't go to sleep on their museums...WW II, Ogden, Jazz and others are top notch.
Great video! You mentioned walking on magazine street on a self guided walking tour, did you download an app? Or was there a tourist pamphlet? Ill be in NOLA in January just trying to plan ahead
I had no idea you were from Chicago when I clicked this. So am I, visiting for the third time next week and wanted to see if there’s anything new I should check out 😊
Im from DC actually but moved to Chicago a couple years ago!! Chicago is my fav city in the US 😍 i would go back to Nola just for the food, everything was delicious
Yes i was not expecting to be wearing a tank top and sweating walking around. Definitely stay hydrated and plan some activities inside to take a break from the sun
Merci pour ton sourire😀 et ta belle aventure à La Nouvelle-Orléans 🇺🇲 🎷🎶, en suivant ces quelques lieux qui sortent un peu des circuits touristiques qu’on l’habitude de voir.
The french quarter was definitely the busiest/most rowdy area (especially anywhere near bourbon street) so i would just be careful and observant walking around there! Alot of men cat calling, homelessness, like in any city but i had men try following me! And i was with 2 friends. i felt much safer in the garden district or outside of the french quarter
Yes its def one of my fav places ive ever been for the food alone!! The weather will be brutal, it was super hot even in February. I would make sure your accommodation has AC or maybe look into a hotel with a pool or get a guest pass for one
I went in February and there was no rain at all but it was already humid and hot. Not sure about summer months, but i can only imagine it’s even more humid and hot so be safe!
New orleans felt like mini theme park where no one follows the rules... And cleaning crew happen to party with the guest and dissapearing all day.until the next day at the morning... Equally drugged out and hang over.
Hey Everybody! Be sure not to miss the nightly street adventure tours through the 7th Ward to the Desire district and then on down to the 9th Ward. Wear some body armor and be prepared to duck for cover! Fun for the whole family!

It was for 3 people! But we definitely could have saved by not getting an entire bottle of champagne, however our waiter did that instead of just getting singular drinks for us like we expected :(
