Hello everyone!
Nice to meet everyone again.
In this video, I build an 8-cornered wooden yard on my island. I built it in 39 days.
Dimensions of the yard are as follows:
+ 4.5m wide
+ The highest column is 5m
I use 9 columns, including 8 columns at the 8 corners and 1 pillar in the middle. For my yard, I use 18 4m long boards. The yard railing is 60cm high. I used round bars as railings (total 120 round bars). The columns are connected by wooden bars with holes shaped like swallow wings hooked together, then I nail them in place. All are assembled by hand.
Due to the difficult terrain, I asked a few people to help me. They came back from the forest and I asked them to come to the island to help me put up the poles.
The purpose of building the yard is to serve my construction and living process here and to serve as a relaxation corner.
Before I had a yard, it was very difficult for me to travel and do work. After construction was completed, I had an additional flat area to work and relax. It's very convenient.
I have been building for quite a long time. I had to balance the columns according to the terrain on the island for a long time so that there would be no excess or shortage when building.

La construction de ce kiosque, "c'est tout un poème", tant elle est délicate. Les piliers sont très lourds et il faut les amener de la berge du lac au sommet de l'île enchanteresse puis assembler la charpente et tu as bien fait d'avoir recours à une aide.👍💞
Tu es une championne des aboutements par tenons et mortaises (taillés en biais ou non) et de l'extrême précision car avant même que tu ne scelles les piliers, le tout tenait tout seul et tout le reste à l'avenant. Ce n'est pas nouveau chez toi mais ça m' impressionne toujours… 🤩🤩💞
Je suis aussi béat devant ton intelligence pratique : la force par torsion d'une corde pour resserrer les poteaux, ce fil de fer pour obtenir les arrondis parfaits, jusqu'à cette petite spatule (un bête bâton de glace transcendé) pour tracer de beaux petits cercles … C'est 💪👍💞
Vu au ras du lac ce belvédère est impressionnant par sa hauteur dominant quasiment un à-pic.👏💞

Mes colonnes et barres en bois sont reliées entre elles par des joints (je les appelle ailes d'hirondelle).
Parce que tout est fait à la main, au cours du processus de fabrication, j'ai créé des éléments supplémentaires pour servir dans mon travail (on appelle ça le difficile qui sort du sage, salut salut). Je l'ai utilisé en vietnamien donc je ne sais pas si la traduction en français est correcte.

Ah, les mortaises/tenons en biais sont des ailes d'hirondelle, c'est très joli comme nom, juste et expressif.

Recette perso pas très orthodoxe : 250 gr de chair de poulet cuit, carottes taillées en fins bâtonnets, 1 blanc de poireau en fils fins, échalotes émincées + tiges d'échalotes de printemps hachées, 2 petites tomates en petits cubes, vermicelle de soja translucide, 2 cuillères à soupe de sauce soja sucrée, 2 de nuoc mam, 1 de teriyaki, 1 de sauce soja salée, origan, épices diverses et 2 œufs… Pas de germes de soja ni de champignons noirs la main (champignons de Paris à la place). Avec sauce aigre-douce épicée et sauce soja. Feuilles de brick (feuilles de riz j'avais pas). Nous nous sommes régalés.

Hoa, tu es un génie qui ne recule jamais devant la difficulté, la numéro des architectes. Ce belvédère construit en surplomb d'une pente abrupte est prodigieux à bien des égards. Il t'offrira un panorama exceptionnel appréciable pour recevoir des amis ou de la famille, ou simplement pour y prendre un peu de repos. Sa plateforme est belle avec sa forme octogonale, spacieuse et intégrant des arbres, c'est superbe.👍❤💞

C'est vraiment sympa Hoa, je prends note de cette gentille invitation, j'y suis très sensible. Je dois t'avouer cependant que les seuls pays (mis à part la Belgique toute proche et centre de la BD) dans lesquels je me suis rendu sont limitrophes de la France (Luxembourg, Suisse, Allemagne, Italie) et encore seulement à quelques kilomètres à l'intérieur lors de randonnées pédestres au long cours (tour du Mont Blanc, 7 jours en Forêt Noire allemande, etc.). Hi Hoa. I am a new subscriber. I love your skill and ability to use traditional carpentry techniques, and darned if you don't make me want to live somewhere where bamboo grows! I've always known how useful it is, but seeing you use it in building is great. I marveled at the bridge!
What you need more than anything is a workbench. It need be nothing more than a half-log a meter and a half or two long and just 20-30 centimeters wide. They get much more elaborate that that, but you don't really need anything more. If you can afford a bench vise-- all you really need is the screw, the rest can be wood you make yourself. You could even cut the screw yourself out of wood, but if you're only going to make one, buying or renting the tools to do so gets cost prohibitive. It's worthwhile to just buy the screw-- that is perfect, but you don't need even that. You can use steps and holes in the bench top and wedges and pegs to clamp your workpiece to it. Take it from somebody who knows: it's much easier to cut mortises and tenons if you're not chasing the parts around on the forest floor.
You would probably want to design one yourself. The Vietnamese method of squatting is comfortable to you-- as comfortable to you as it is impossible for me-- so worktop height and so forth is all negotiable. Now you've got a nice, flat workspace, that should be one of your first projects. The work top is all you need. You can make it portable, even, and cut legs from saplings or bamboo as you need it. Just a big slab of wood, 10 cm thick and about 10-20 wide, and a meter and a half long, so long as it is well supported so you can bang on it without it moving, will do. You could make it collapsible and hinge it on the side rails of your new yard if portable doesn't suit you.
Mine is 76 cm tall x 60 cm wide x 220 cm long, and has three vices; a tail vise on the right end, and face vise on the left and a Moxon vise on the back. But you don't need all that. A roman carpenter's bench will do, and not a clamp or a vise in sight. Do yourself a favor and take a look on the internet at "traditional wood bench" and "Roman carpenter's bench." 39 jours pour prendre des mesures, concevoir et édifier de A à Z la belle gloriette, vu le terrain pentu, la grandeur de la plateforme et sa forme c'est une très belle performance surtout en étant malade plusieurs jours. 💪✌💞
Je crois que le travail de départ (idée, décision, conception) a du se faire vers l'époque de l'édification de l'escaliers reliant la cuisine à la pièce principale. Sa construction proprement dite doit commencer il y a 11 ou 15 jours sinon cela se serait vu.
Un projet hardi, complexe, et délicat (la charpente ne peut être érigée seule).Je lève ma 🧢(il fait trop chaud pour le🎩) bien haut 👍❤

Vous avez raison, je l'ai déjà fait auparavant mais je n'avais pas assez de matériel alors je me suis arrêté et j'ai d'abord fait les toilettes et la salle de bain. Cela nécessite une grande quantité de bois. 🥰
Sage report, en effet, car il te fallait des piliers massifs et solides, des solives et des rambardes du même acabit et de quoi faire un plancher costaud … sans compter la main-d'œuvre amie disponible. Finalement, c'est aussi bien comme ça, toilettes et salle de bain c'est plus important et puis le belvédère est là à présent, un autre joyau de ton île édénique.
Un peu de repos dessus maintenant pour goûter la satisfaction du travail bien pensé, bien fait avant d'en reprendre un autre.💞🥰❤

Una cosa mi preoccupa, gli alberi che sono nella terrazza quando crescono verranno strozzati dal legno , mi sembra che non gli ha lasciato spazio per espandersi .
